In our penchant for Presidency, we forget each and everyone of them have plunged from wealth to abject poverty since the first Coup. A Nigerian will rather kill his country unless he has his way. The people are worse than their leaders since leaders are elected to give people what they want, they get the leaders they deserve. The more poverty the people find themselves, the more they celebrate. They simply refused to vote for new candidates. |

People can look at the same picture and see different interpretations depending on what you are looking for. I see bold upright men in clothes whose humiliation incited Revolts and saved future generations fighting white man in their land, on the sea and in Europe and America. The pictures drawn by whites are those of savages they saved. This is a real picture of civilized brave men fully clothed unlike other places in Africa. Sometimes you just have to let some people have their ways. The most infuriating argument is how European teams and America are open to token Africans. But greed, used and discarded foreign goods and services are what we prefer. We even got poorer with Oil Income than we were before. Big buildings, great walls and architecture have disappeared in the face of earthquake, flood and fire. The only hope left is the people character and ingenuity to regroup and rebuild within. I can understand the depression. Nigeria used to pay some Caribbean government workers' salaries when they were broke. So I visited Jamaica then and I insisted on visiting the market in Kingston but they insisted the two of us had to be protected by three security men because of crimes. I saw a water tap in the market like we had in Nigeria. I decided to open it just to see if water would come out. Water came out!
