THE WAY OUT: Nobody can redeem you from what Allah has decreed for you, not 'Jesus' nor Moses nor Muhammad (PBUT) and neither the miracle mongers nor by charm of a sorcerer, but in what Allah has prescribed, but, “surely there is easy after hardship” and a common saying is that “no condition is permanent”. So whichever condition you are, it is for a while, if it doesn’t leave you, you will eventually leave it! Meanwhile, AL-WADUD the Loving God has prescribed three antidotes for us to become victorious in the world of trials. 1) SUPPLICATION: “Pray unto me, I will answer your prayer” says Allah in Q 40: 60 as well in Q 2: 186. Pray fervently on every condition of yours after each daily salat also in the midnight do observe nafl and pray (Tahajjud) Q17: 78-79 and Q73: 1-6. Also fasting along with your prayer is enjoined by the Prophet(SAW). 2) FEAR OF ALLAH: This is very important for it guides one’s habit during easy and hard period and very rewarding to be adorned by virtues and abstain from vices and Allah’s prohibition, this is by fearing Him for it keeps one in state of holiness which Allah is well pleased with. “So fear Allah as best as you can and listen and obey and spend in His cause, it will be good for you and whoso is rid of the covetousness of his own soul shall be successful”Q64: 16. 3) PATIENCE: “O ye who believe seek help (on your trial) with patience and prayer, surely Allah is with the steadfast one”, an advice from your Lord Q2: 153. Avoid hasteful decision, or expectation to your request, but patiently entreat Him and uphold your faith with His worship and you shall be triump. You are on trial every moment of your life and it falls a lot of people who do not submit completely to Allah whereas true Muslim stands above it (Q2: 112). Surely there is none who does not get happy or sad, hence make your happiness gratitude and your grief patience. By DR. Tijani Adekilekun (Late) (Chief Imam University of Ibadan)[May Allah forgive him of his shortcomings] |
ANY EXEMPTION? Allah says “Do men think they will be left alone because they say we believe and that they will not be tested? And We did test those before them, so Allah will surely distinguish those who are truthful and the liars apart” Q29: 2-3. This means that a Muslim or whosoever it may be must not be rest assured that because he/ she is observing all the pillars of Islam regularly and doing other supererogatory worship or being a Jihadist, Imam, Sheikh, or even you are ‘son’ or ‘daughter’ of God, whatever you are, be ye rich or poor, wise or fool, beautiful or ugly, master or servant, literate of illiterate. This will not break you loose from trial! even these qualifies of yours are tests (Q 64: 15). OBJECTS OF TEST: Quran 89: 15-16 purports: “As for men when his Lord tries him and honour him and bestow favours on him, he says my lord has honoured me but when God tries him and straightens for him his means of sustenance, he says my Lord has disgraced me!”. This revealed the two ways by which we are being tested and our usual but absurd and ungrateful response, which has turned some to beggars, frauds, prostitutes, liars, criminals, robbers and disbelievers. It must be known that, it is to test our faith, that one never been sick before; that you were born with a golden spoon in your mouth; that you are in need and you are given; you wish and it materialized; that you vie for post and succeeded, you struggle for wealth and is granted; you seek for children and are given; that you search for knowledge and is acquired, and so on. On the other hand, it is to test our faith, if everything mentioned above go negative; it is a trial to be having horrorfull dreams; that unbelievers used to mock you up (Q 3: 186); that your sickness persists beyond normal and many more Q41: 49-51. It should be borne in our mind that no creature can cause us harm or do us good without the knowledge and permission of Allah-(Q10: 107). It is our faithfulness or ungrateful reaction upon these conditions that Allah will use to register us in ILLIYUN (the Book of live of the righteous) OR in SIJJIN (the Book of torment of the wicked) Q 83: 7-21. CAUTION: Unfortunately for some people, issue of trial has led the ignorant and the lazy to the modern day idolatry, fortune teller, magician, Jinn and even men like themselves thereby depriving Allah the esteem due to Him, rejecting His uniqueness and denying His ultimate power to save and bless them(Q39: 67), certainly ultimate and perpetual solution lies with Him, while affliction carried to other being apart from Allah still persist of its worries and indeed that can not mark the end of every problem in such a life! It is bound to be so, Allah declares: “Allah delivers you from them and from every distress yet you associate partners to Him”Q6: 64. This means that it is not what you call beside Him that gives you what you seek- Q 22: 55, but it is Allah, Good God in His infinite Mercy and Beneficence. Allah warns: “Do the disbelievers think that they can take my servants as protector instead of Me (Allah), surely I have prepared Hell as entertainment for the disbelievers”Q18:102! THE JOY OF TEST: The Prophets and those who believed with them upheld their faith and worshipped Allah in truth and in spirit during their incomparable trails. Seeing this, Allah removed their burden and raised them to exalted position (Q2: 124). The advantages of upholding one’s faith and remaining pious during the time of affliction are many which include: uplifting one to state of glory, holiness and favour; it makes one more closer to Allah; it gives additional experience to live and guide; it cleanses one’s faults and fortifies the faith. Allah gives us solace to cope: “surely after hardship comes the ease” Q94: 5 and “No soul knows what joy of the eyes is kept hidden for them”Q32: 17. |
WHY ARE WE BEING TESTED? Allah has vowed to weigh and determine the degree of man’s faith in order to prove the extent to which he believes fears and sincerely worship Allah and that those around him may know whether he is a true believer or a hypocrite. This inturn raise or relegate him before his Lord, angles and men as well. Allah says: “The true believers are only those who truly believe in Allah and His prophet, then doubt not of their faith.”Q59: 15. Holy Prophet said: “Unless a person is said to be crazy, his faith will not be perfect”. So one’s faith must be strong enough to withstand all kind of ridicule, criticisms, provocations, persecution and trials before being said to be perfect. Trial of mankind is inevitable as Allah says: “Blessed is Allah in whose hand is the sovereignty and He has power over all things. He has created, death and life that He might try you which of you is best in deeds”Q67: 1-2. Also he says: “And we will try you with something of fear and hunger and loss of wealth and lives and fruits but give glad tiding to the patient”Q2:155. This means that every distressful and easy condition of man is well known and only permitted by Allah to try him if he will retreat and withdraw from His way, as well as His worship, struggle, and belief. In case you see those who died or are slained on His way, if you see His poor servant living in destitute or you even become the subject; will you say that Allah has nothing to offer or will you incline to polytheism because life is not dancing to your tune; or will you become tyrant and incline to injustice because you are in power or a favour has been granted to you; or will you allege the misfortune that happened to you or your family to an innocent person while “the key of heaven and earth belongs to Allah” Q39: 63. It is this state of uprightness and devotion and piety that Allah is trying to test in you us and it is mandatory that we be steadfast in order to pass and be blessed but not to fail and be disgraced. A CUE FOR UNBELIEVERS: Quranic fact has become an eye opener for the non-Muslims on this and other issues to which they are blind or pretend to be ignorant of. Hence Allah says in Q2: 214: “Do you think you will enter heaven while there has not come over you the condition of those who passed away before you? Suffering and adversity befell them and they were violently shaken until the messenger and those who believe with him said, ‘when will come the help of Allah?’. Surely the help of Allah is nigh!” . This is telling every man that paradise is not a father Xmas gift, that the common saying i.e. I want to be like Jesus, like Muhammad (PUBT) is not by mouth and not in prosperity alone, but one must be ready to be tried and experience at least a breath of their afflictions. It is then that one stand for the like of their favour and honour and have hope in the paradise. We must not entertain but erase the like of fictitious belief of vicarious atonement, Pauls innovation (Romans 5: 11-21) from our mind. Allah has affirmed in Q12: 15 that “No bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another”. This is what is also contained in the Bible, Ezekiel 18: 20 and 1st Corinthians 3: 8. So you are going to be tested both of good and bad, not a curse but a divine order. We need to be prepared. Disbelievers are reverting back to Islamic truth and are being forced to eat their ignorant words that “God does not allow evils to touch his children”. Infact their absurd claim that “misfortune in man’s life is Satan handiwork” has finally lost credibility. Such saying or belief nullifies true faith i.e Islamic monotheism, it is foolishness to think Satan has its power over Allah’s Will! Think of the prophets whom we are following in all faiths, none of them escaped the wave of trial (Q 21 and Q 37), and certainly they were nearer to Allah than everyone on earth today, yet they entreated not any deity except Allah. In the Bible God affirmed: “I God form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create evil, I the lord do all these things” Isaiah 45: 6-7. The ultimate of these is in Q 53: 43-44 that “And that it is Allah who makes man laugh and make them weep and it is He who causes death and gives life”!. Mind you, those things which seems evil or good to we men are often not so with (AL- LATEEF), The Incomprehensible God, afterall, there is a common saying that “behind every disappointment is a blessing”! Allah advises us: “That you may not grieve over what is lost to you nor exult because of that which He has given you”Q57:23. We therefore need not to be restless about our problem. |
INTRODUCTION: If people were aware and act according to the word of Almighty Allah in Surah Al-Anam 6: 162 that Say:my prayer and my sacrifice and my life and death are all for Allah, the Lord of the World”; trial would not have become problem of their life to be worried about. Based on the iman (faith), True faith is to believe in Oneness of Allah, His angels, His books and the messengers, the last day and to believe in preordainment of all that is good and evil. This is a matter of personal conviction which has to do with commonsensical reasoning to which divine worship and good deeds are attached. One has to furnish and fortify this with fear of Allah, humility, patience, avoidance of doubt, fidelity to trust and covenants as well desire to get closer to Allah through salat, fasting, zakat, and dhikr are works for true faith which will be able to withstand and challenge any kind of trial. TWO DIFFERENT THINGS: “Test of Faith” is different from “fate of disobedient and wickedness”. The favour or misfortune that exists by Allah’s decree, knowledge and will has no correlation with the choice of good and evil action of man and their consequences. One who failed to worship Allah, or who raped or chose to be prodigal, deserves the penalty for violating Allah’s order and prohibition and must repent and regret for it. Therefore he cannot absolve himself or cover the consequence with the veil of trial. “Allah have shown to man the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful” Q 76: 3. ACID TEST: Putting one’s faith under test is a crucial matter very sensitive and need special consideration, because a lot of people have erroneously perceived, interpreted and conceived it and so have gone astray. Prophet Mohammed(SAW), said “Every child is being born into this world as a Muslim but it is the parents who make the child into Christian, Jew, Buddhist or an idolater”. This is so because of the misconception and ignorance of such parents about “the nature by which Allah has created mankind which is Islam” Q30 : 30. When scrutinized, it will be seen that it was from this same Islam that all other religions emanated, but just because of the misconception and corruption of the original source i.e. Islam, on the part of the renegades, holders of such corrupt belief when their faiths were being tested by Allah. They doubted it and were confused; they slipped from this original way, and deviated out of true divine salvation. |

luvola:Dream on brother |
AlBaqir:The reason I think that he is referring to Sheu Jamiu Ami Oloun is that afterwards he said 'OMO KEKERE ni,a mo Olorun fun ni imo' meaning that 'though he is a young boy but Allah granted him knowledge'. So that is the reason I think it's ami Oloun. AlBaqir: As per so-called Sheu Jamiu Ami Olohun, whatever it is as per his accolades, Allah knows best. There used to be sheik in Ilorin. He understand ALL languages of the world yet he has no formal training anywhere. Once he got to any land, he simply drink their water and he will be able to communicate in their tongue. Aside that there lots of people who boast of hidden training while asleep etc.Yeah,I also heard about that Sheik that could speak ALL languages in Buhari Omo Musa lecture. He narrated an ordeal in which the Sheik accompanied someone to India and there was a meeting in hindi. So the Sheik told the person he accompanied that he shouldn't fret, that when he drinks the water from india,he would understand and speak their language. He did and started to speak hindi. The day my brother and I listened to that lecture,we laughed ehn. Even Buhari Omo Musa do boast of hidden knowledge and charms in his lecture.May Allah help us. AlBaqir: Am sorry brother, I simply don't fancy all that. Muhammad (peace be on him and his progeny) is my guide and model. All these so-called sheiks are far away from the teachings, standards, and limits of the sharia. It is unfortunate that this society is plagued with laziness, poverty, illiteracy etc thereby fascinated with so-called 'karamat' (wonders) of anybody and that person will instantly be accepted as sheik or Sheiat. Just like anybody who can speak Arabic will automatically become an Alfa.On point here, anyone that wear a beard will be automatically be an alfa or someone that has a very large turban will be automatically be an alfa. You are very right dear brother,I don't fancy that too.Ameen to your du'a. @underlined,so so true.Laziness and illiteracy are the main causes of people falling for all these so called Sheiks.Thank you very much AlBaqir for your time. Walaikum Salam Waramatulah Wabarakatuh |
AlBaqir:Ok,thanks for the reply. The reason for asking was that I listened to a lecture by that 'popular' Alfa from Ilorin 'Buhari Omo Musa' and Buhari prayed for someone saying ''Olorun yio wola Sheu Jamiu, adura yin yio gba'' meaning that 'Allah will look at the position of Sheu Jamiu in his sight and accept/answer your prayer.' So I was curious that who's this Sheik Jamiu that Buhari is using as intercession for people in prayer, so I googled him and that's how I came here. Also read his Biography on his facebook account,he said he led Jummuah prayer at the age of 2 and nobody taught him the Qu'ran. Allah knows best. |
Rilwayne001: I no book space oo,just observing things.Jummuah Mubarak dear brother. |
baye2023:Feel Free dear brother, may Allah reward us all. |
Abuklaw:The Qu'ran says it all in Surah Al-Ahzab 33:21 -Indeed in the Messenger of Allâh (Muhammad SAW) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for (the Meeting with) Allâh and the Last Day and remembers Allâh much..When I read the sayings of the Prophet(pbuh),the sayings of prominent sahabas like Abu Bakr As-Siddiq,Ali Ibn Abi Talib,Abdullah Ibn Abbass and many more(May Allah be pleased with them all),I found out that their quotes are even more inspirational than the ones we are longing for. Seriously, everything to live a successful life has been displayed by our beloved Prophet(pbuh) but the onus is on we muslims to follow.May Allah make the Deen easy for us all and makes us better muslims(Amiin). maclatunji:May Allah reward us all dear brother. |
Thanks brother Udatso for message, those messages are annoying.Even on facebook, you will see updates like 'Type amin,if you don't type amin it means you are heartless'.Huh? Like Seriously? Na you get heart gauge? The threatening messages are the worst,I received a whatsapp message and it says 'Send this du'a to 10 people, someone that send it received a promotion in his job few days later, the other person that didn't send the message suffered some certain loss'.Argumentum Ad Baculum Why threatening me to send message? Na by force? |
THE EXPECTED: The simple assertion of the Prophet that: “A leader of my people is their servant!” (Bukhari) says everything that a leader is servant and servant is leader! Therefore whether domestic servant, public servant, civil servant, or what have you, obedience, truthfulness, humility, dedication, flexibility, love, mercy and justice in service are vital characteristics and very germane to good leadership, smooth governance and peaceful co-existence of the society as well as providing for the wellbeing of the led and relatively physical and spiritual security. If ![]() It means that as a Muslim who is conscious that he is a leader and acts as ambassador of his Lord at every place and period of his life (Q2: 30), he must exhibit the exemplary habit to prove he believes in Allah and that Prophet- Muhammad(SAW) he is following is his mentor. More so, the inevitable grand accountability of how one managed his subordinates and material that are directly or indirectly in his/her control. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was a perfect model of what must be one’s role as a leader when Allah says of him: “Surely, a messenger has come unto you from among yourselves; grievous to him is that you should fall into trouble; he is ardently desirous of your welfare and to the believers, he is compassionate, merciful” Q9: 128. So take lesson! More importantly justice is an integral part of leadership. It is animals that have no justice discretion not man (Q91: 7- . An unjust man especially Muslim is as good as his pet and brute! For this reason Allah has ordered: “O you who believe! Be strict in observing justice and be witness for Allah, even though it be against yourselves or your parents and kindred. Whether he be rich or poor. Allah is more regardful of them both than you are. Therefore follow not low desires so that you may be able to act equitably. And if you evade or conceal the truth, then remember that Allah is well aware of what you do”Q4: 135.And truth is justice and justice is truth! Allah calls on all leaders of public offices as He called on Prophet Dawud: “O Dawud, We have made you a vicegerent in this earth, so judge between men with truth, and follow not vain desire, lest it should lead you astray from the way of Allah. Surely those who go astray from the way of Allah will have a severe punishment because they forgot the Day of Accountability” Q38: 26. Leadership accountability should be a concern for everybody because it the ultimate. Remember the Prophet said: “Take care! Each of you is a shepherd and each of you shall be asked concerning his flock…”(Muslim). As managers would give accounts to the directors likewise everyone would give grand account to Allah. It is therefore advisable to take good account of yourself, weigh your word before you speak, consider your decision before taking action, correct your faulty deeds. Make things easy for people not exploiting them. THE CONSEQUENCE Good leadership life makes one enjoy peace of mind, confidence, progress, free from fear, well respected by the people and hope of salvation. Unjust Muslim is a travesty of humanity, a disgrace to his faith and himself, reason why the Prophet said: “A just unbeliever is by far better than unjust Muslim!” (Bukhari). Never should you expect pious, just leader and corrupt, unjust one to share the same fate and merit on earth and in the heaven. This is one of the importance of accountability and judgment. Allah says: “Shall We treat those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the same as those who do mischief on earth? Shall We treat those who guard against evil the same as those who turn aside from the right” Q38: 28.The Prophet finally capped it all saying: “He who is assigned some affairs of the Muslims then he does not care for them as he cares for his own family, let him have his seat in Fire” Bukhari. To fail in ones’ leadership role on earth is tantamount to heavenly failure, it is a great disaster! Hence, mind how you rule over your subjects! May Allah help you. Amin! RION NIGERIA |
ITS SCOPE: A Muslim must let both the spiritual teachings and moral principles of Islam on leadership interest and influence him/her tremendously, because that is where one’s eminence lies! By the fact of this Prophetic statement:“Take care! Each of you is a shepherd and each of you shall be asked concerning his flock: a leader is a shepherd over his people and he shall be asked concerning his flock, and a women is a shepherd over the house of her husband and over his children and she shall be asked concerning them; and the slave of a man is a shepherd over the substance of his master and he shall be asked concerning it. Take care then each of you is a shepherd and each of you shall be asked concerning his flock” (Muslim). It means leadership role is an inevitable position for everybody irrespective of age or gender, educated or illiterate, rich or poor, influential or unknown person. At any period of ones’ life, one assumes a status of leadership! Imam, governor, parliamentarian, union leader, community head, team leader, senior at work, elder, school prefect, father, mother, brother, sister, manager, master, chairman of society, are all leaders with specific roles. It could occur that the led at a place is a leader at another place at the same period. You can be a member of a society and be the president or holding key post of another one. An employee of a company or government establishment can be director of his own private business. Everybody is a leader at his own level! The Prophet has said: “Take care! Each of you is a shepherd and each of you shall be asked concerning his flock…” ITS IMPLICATION AND FOUNDATION: If the above is so, a child must be trained towards this inevitable life challenges of being a leader and a matured man must brace up and prepare himself for the challenges of every situation he/she finds himself/ herself as a leader at any level and period of life. Parents cannot make their children good and true leaders by bequeathing wealth to them. Neither can you as a child attained true leadership through abundant inheritance. No! It lies not in the status of ones parents but individual build-up, more importantly as a Muslim, on piety. This is so in that we’ve seen Prophets whose parents, wives, children or relatives failed to benefit from the perfect and true leadership status of their man! But remember the first person pronounced by Allah as leader- Ibrahim(AS), was on piety: “And when his Lord tried Ibrahim with certain commands which he fulfilled. He (Allah) said, I will make you a leader of man. Ibrahim asked, ‘and what about from my offspring?’ He (Allah) said, ‘my covenant does not embrace the transgressor” Q2:124. Meaning that non-pious man cannot make a true leader! Piety is the true driving force for good leadership due to the necessity of obeisance to one’s Lord and perception of grand accountability. |
INTRODUCTION: Leadership is a position one can attain at one point or the other in life. During such period he/she becomes the leader who must lead his/her people aright in their economic, social and spiritual with calmness and in a secured environment. There are positions and there are positions! Some positions of leadership are more demanding than others depending on the magnitude of the subjects under control, type of services required, the orientation and principle of the people. Such task at any level is demanding. It is such an onerous work that needs both the consent of Allah and man for true success, that which will bring the sincere praise and prayer of man and the acceptance and blessing of Allah. Leadership therefore by its foundation may be clear or cloudy, straight or warp, easy or demanding respectable or disgraceful, depending on the ideology of such a leader. By all means, one must avoid the kind of leadership that incurs people’s curse and Allah’s wrath. PRECEPT FOR THE MUSLIMS: Islam is a way of life in the sense that it set the best precept and principle for whatever thing one wants to do or what one wants to become. This is either a clear-cut injunction from Allah or a relayed sample from the life of Prophet Muhammad(SAW) or his immediate companions. And leadership is not exemption. The Prophet instructed his followers:“Do not exaggerate my position in praise of me as the Christians did with the son of Mary, for I am only the slave of Allah, so call me slave of Allah and His messenger” (Bukhari). He didn’t want vain glory and prevented his followers from becoming sycophants. He also said:“One who deceives is not one of us”(Trimidhi). “…treat well those who treat you badly, and speak the truth even against yourself” (Ibn Najjar). He cherished justice, truth and encouraged forgiveness. “Be in this world as if you are a stranger or a way farer” (Bukhari). He restricted accumulation of material wealth. These are some of what he said and what became his principles by which, he acted and for the very reason he was nick-named Al- Amin (The Trustworthy), even by the Pagans before he became a Prophet! Among Abu Bakr first statement on mounting the pulpit as the first caliphate after the Prophet was:“O People! I have been given office although I am not the best among you. If I did well, support me and if I deviated rectify me. Truthfulness is a deposit and lying is treason. The weak person among you is strong with me till I restore his right and the strong person among you is weak with me till I take what he has usurped…obey me as long as I obey Allah…” Showing that, he saw leadership as a privilege not a birth-right or as the only person fit or who merit the post and he stood for justice and truthfulness. Abu Musa and two of his brothers went to the Prophet, and the brothers requested the Prophet to make them the heads of certain communities. The Prophet said unto them: ‘he who covets for a post shall not be granted the post” (Muslim). Meaning that public post should not be coveted or be ‘a do or die’ affair. Even a sensible ‘born leader’ or ‘natural leader’ must not think no other exists. It is at best if attained by right and credible way. These are enough guidance and excellent models for Muslims at every level of leadership - Q33: 21. |

Maybe this is because everyone wants to take out their frustrations, share their observations and their acceptance or rejection on this universally acknowledged and interesting topic. In this battle, I have seen some people becoming so sentimental that they vomit out their own personal encounters, love affairs, and ever- lasting crushes along with potential parties’ names in public! Indeed, marriage is a very vast and an extremely crucial subject, which can be seen from both the aspects: aspect of seriousness and aspect of fun. It totally depends on the individual’s age, maturity and attitude towards life. “I want a righteous spouse but …”, is a common phase in the lives of the practicing Muslim youth. This dilemma is something we hear all around us in our religious circles & social gatherings. Where, on one hand, all the religiously inclined men know and even understand the most famous hadith: “A woman is married for four reasons: her wealth, her nobility, her beauty and her piety. Choose the pious one and be successful.” (Bukharee) but very few are actually willing to act on it. Some of my practicing friends are waiting to bump into some sort of Cinderella in abaya. This made me realize no matter how religious men look, very less people are actually willing to sacrifice when it comes to beauty and age, though they might sacrifice on piety, wealth and nobility. This trend explicitly show us the true version of inner-us . All of us hear and talk about all this haadith all the time, but do we really mean it? Similarly, rejections are being made under the labels of “kuff” (compatibility), but the real reason for rejection is something else. Or even if it is kuff, what really constitutes (Kuff) equivalency in our eyes, this is a matter of debate. Various scholars have done their own Ijtihad as to what factors are involved when it comes to Kuff. There are variety of opinions, but the strongest and the most sound opinion – and the one used by Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen – is that Kuff is in reference to religious commitment only. [Read more : http://www.islamqa.com/en/ref/84306] The mentality of the female gender in our society is no different; they too do the same. Though they might hold graduation in fiqh, maintain proper hijab and say along with their parents , “we want a righteous spouse…” very few are bold enough to act on what is being said. It is evident that when someone from the low class family (but very pious) approaches them, suddenly many more things get added up in their list. They too know the famous hadith (by heart!): “If a man whose practice of deen (religion) satisfies you, asks for your daughter in marriage, you should marry them; otherwise, there’ll be corruption on earth.”(at-Tirmidhee) but they seldom act upon it. Women prefer to marry guys from the First World countries with multiple high degrees, a Ferrari and possessing a great amount of bank balance. Is it always a bad thing? No. But if it makes you turn away from multiple good proposals and if it is your only criteria and your first priority, then yes, you might have a problem. Only when the rejecters fail to find their perfect package, they regret rejecting the earlier ones who had proposed them modestly through their parents. Musa (alayhis salam) would have never married the daughter of the man who gave him shelter, if his father in-law’s conditions were based on material possession like today. At that time, he had no club memberships, money, cars or other luxurious items, he wasn’t even given Prophet hood yet! He was a modest man and a righteous spouse. That was all he had. But for the wise, that’s the true wealth, the real criteria. When it comes to delayed marriages and marriage-related sufferings, many a times, the fault lies within us; our fantasy-world attitude and high standards. The truth is that materialism is still somewhere in our minds and hearts. It seems not to go away despite the fact that we hear and know all these sayings and despite the fact we know the stories of all the companions and their criteria for picking up spouses. Ask yourself, if today, a proposal comes your way, which looks religiously promising but, perhaps, struggling in worldly affairs, would you accept or walk away? It is all a matter of priorities. JackBizzle:Peace brother. |
JackBizzle:The same way I don't believe that the tag 'extremist' is a compliment.Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) came to reform the people and he doesn't reform them by calling them extremists and venerating himself . Question01(usermane) always find faults in everything muslims do and exempt himself as the only person doing the right thing. Yes,he is trying to destroy his Islam with his ideologies.I know what I wrote,he is a deformist. For example,Islam says consuming pig is haram only for 'our reformer' to turn around and say only the meat is forbidden, the fat is halal(allowed).I don't know where the fat comes from if not from the flesh(Just the Jews that made halal what Allah(swt) made haram by twisting the name). Is this reforming right? This is one among many of his and his folks twisted ideologies, clear facts from Qu'ran but trying to give it 'a modern meaning'.Just like Brother Empiree rightly said, you don't know what's on ground, you don't know usermane nor his folks but you are trying to be a gentleman who wants fairness. But you don't know who are defending,so dear brother just watch and don't jump into what you really don't know about. |
JackBizzle:Mister, you don't have to jump into conclusion if you don't know what's going on.Moreover,I am only stating the obvious about him, calling a spade a spade. And please point out the insult in my post or give us a new definition of insult. |
All MSSN groups I know of are good and strong,MSSN is the hope of the Ummah,Have you been to Unilorin MSSN,Lautech MSSN,Futa MSSN,Ede Poly MSSN and many others? In terms of knowledge seeking, they all provide adequate avenues for people to seek knowledge and learn. There's no need for comparison here seriously. I just want to know so that I will to the right step to take. This part of your post, are you seeking admission into any of the 3 schools ? If You are seeking admission, choose the school you love and you will get the best in terms of Islamic knowledge with MSSN |
Question01: Poor co-operation among reformists, moderates and liberals I am a reformist, ever since i commenced thisSorry bro,you aren't a reformist but a 'deformist'.No one can stood by you because your ideology is wack. You keep tagging people as orthodox muslims, extremists, rejecting you are a 'muslim' and at the same time, trying to portrait yourself as person that is an Islamic 'reformer'. The only person that share your views is an hatetheist,he's your pen pal. |
sino:Good to have you back brother Sino. Wa antum Fajazakumullah Khairan |
This was the poem I posted before the crash. It's tilted:Sister, you are my Inspiration by Mariama Elhadad From jeans to a jilbab, I see an immense transformation. From designer tops to hijab – sister, you are my inspiration. Now alhamdulilah you kneel to the ground, aiming to purify your intentions, Bowing your head down to your Creator day by day in prostration. A firm believer inshaAllah, setting an Islamic household foundation, You’re not afraid to stand alone like Prophet Ibrahim, who himself was his own nation. You hold steadfast and seek patience with your Lord despite the waiting and frustration, by the will of Allah has He made your heart attached to the prayer in congregation. You yearn for His forgiveness and mercy whereby your tears request a du’aa in supplication. Your thirst for knowledge leads you to study the Seerah of the best of creation. Learning the Sunnah and the Laws of Allah you attempt to avoid this worldly life’s temptations. Knowing that life is a train and Akhirah is the next station, I make du’aa that Jannah is our final destination. Soil of saffron, rivers of honey – a place without limitations, Only by the will of Allah has He guided you, so inshaAllah I pray you receive His ultimate salvation. |
AlBaqir:The underlined words is my point,Muta'a was permitted in the time of necessity and see the bolded,'people regained their comfort of life' i.e. People now have access to their spouses, not on expedition or in battle field so no need for Muta'a and that's the reason Umar(r.a) forbade it. Which comfort of life does a young person lose? It's either he got married permanently or fast. |
