Be careful on decision to take @op, if I should advise you, I will ask you not to legally adopt him, I'm not a layer oo but I dnt think any law will support you adopting a child that still have a father whether responsible or not responsible.

Think of it in another way, don't you think the mother of the child want to deliberately allow you adopt the child so as to get back, punish and deprive him of fatherhood because of the way things ended between them?

Make your independent investigation on the reason why the father refuse to take care of his child, was it intentional or not?

You can take care of the child as your own (if you wish) but don't make the mistake of adopting him legally when his father is still alive.

My sister called me yesterday and was telling me about one of her husband's extended family relation whose wife is frustrating now ehn, to the extent he's become a drunk.

The dude is a very sensible dude with a good head over his shoulders, I like him for his stand. It's either she exercise more patience or move ahead rather than worry the young man for marriage.

This should serve as lesson to upcoming husband that we should know the word 'I will cope with the little we have' is a statement from a desperate woman.

And truth be told 50k salary is very small to raise a family in Nigeria of today (especially if you come from a average family).

My average salary with bonus is around 50k and believe me I hardly have any saving (tho i have a side investment and a little boy). Things are hard and we need to be very pragmatic in our decision (especially marital decision).

You should appreciate the man for telling you his mind. Both of you should have a meaningful conversation(especially you) on where the relationship is going, let him tell you his plan and you too should tell him yours. if you are not ok by his decision break up with him in peace and look for someone that fit into your plan and marry him.

But don't make the mistake of forcing him into marriage by getting pregnant for him. You will regret that action.

Things I'm looking forward to next year 2021

Probably do more of high risk investment cause have grown my risk appetite. Will definitely continue with piggyvest and Agropatnership cause they have been very reliable and almost risk free.

All my savings will be in stable coin like USDT so I can beat inflation.

I'm looking to invest more in Quintessential and TonsoElite cause of the compound interest.

I will avoid MBA moving forward until they're very much stable.

Finished NYSC last year October, ever since then life has been terrible.
