GOALKEEPERS
Vincent Enyeama, Dele Aiyenugba, Austin Ejide

DEFENDERS
Joseph Yobo, Dele Adeleye, Apam Onyekachi, Elderson Echiejile, Taiye Taiwo, Yusuf Mohammed, Olubayo Adefemi, Nwaneri

MIDFIELDERS
Mikel Obi, Azeez, Rabiu Ibrahim, Ayila Yusuf, Seyi Olofinjana, Femi Ajilore, Sanni kaita, Dickson Etuhu

ATTACKERS
Osaze Odemwingie, Ighalo Odion/Chinedu Obasi Ogbuke, Obafemi Martins, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Ikechukwu Uche, Joseph Akpala/Kanu Nwankwo

STANDBY PLAYERS
Greg Etafia, Stephen Worgu, King Osanga, Eneramo, Lukman Haruna, Stanley Okoro, Ajagun,

For me our major problem is the midfield. For once, Amodu did the right thing by playing Mikel in an attacking role and we saw his worth. Azeez is a promising guy and should be drafted sharp sharp, Rabiu is a good playmaker, Ayila is a defensive wall. My midfield quatro will be ayila/olofinjana-azeez-mikel-osaze. Attack will be ike uche-martins. defense will be adefemi/yusuf-yobo-nwaneri/adeleye-elderson. 4-4-2 style.

@poster, good observations wink.

never mind some of the negative comments here lipsrsealed. some nigerians just have refused to see the good stuff in nigeria even if they aren't much as at today. complain, complain, complain! the fact that a few nigerians indulge in a particular vice, does that make all nigerians guilty of the same for God's sake?

i pity those nigerians in diaspora who take pride being in another man's well-structured country while raining insults on his own country  angry! shame!! those guys laboured to build their country and you stroll with your two overweight bags in there, washing dishes in a restaurant and saying all sort of rubbish about your country. angry

TravelLagos Traffic: Regimented Resumption/closing Hours by larimo(op): 3:45pm On Nov 10, 2009
Lagos traffic is primarily caused by the rush of everyone to be available before 8am. I have left my home in Surulere by 8.15am and got to my office in less than an hour because the rush hour was over.

I would like to suggest that the government of Lagos look into the possibility of regimenting the resumption/closing time of all establishments and schools in Lagos. By this I mean that a certain group of workers should resume by 7am and another group by 8am and yet another by 9am. Closing hours can be set for 4pm, 5pm and 6pm. This would lessen significant the 8am/5pm rush.

I am of the opinion that this would help a lot.

Fellow Nairalanders, what do you think? Is this feasible or not?

is it about finances needed for the wedding or finances for the marital life?

if its about the wedding, pls I beg you, do a court wedding and simply ask your pastor and family to be there. dont start owing at this stage. do something simple and within ur financial capability.

if its about the marriage, toh, as u hv both decided to get married now, knowing ur financial challenges, then cut your coat according to your cloth. however, do not despise your little beginnings. God can open doors for you.

i wish you the best from papa God.

Congratulations Chelsea! You sure showed character and resilience! You deserved to win.

Man U had more of the possession and their tactics worked for them, but they did absolutely nothing with that. Chelsea has better chances at goal with the fewer chances they had. Man U successfully disrupted Chelsea's midfield machine, but that that was all.

Man U Fans and Ferguson should please shut up and stop complaining about the referee. Terry tugging Valencia's shirt for a penalty?!? Ridiculous! They were neck to neck and Valencia was also falling after the shoulder contact. Valencia has no advantage over Terry in that battle.

The british media doesnt it talk about Evans terrible chest kick at Drogba. Where was the linesman? How could he say he didnt see that? A red card offense.

Man U should go and sit down jare and think of their next game. They tried but Rooney needs better team-mates to assist him.

Chelsea should only keep the focus and continue to win against the 'big six'.

Chelsea 3 Tottenham 0
Chelsea 2 Liverpool 0
Chelsea 1 Man U 0

Up next Arsenal!

I know that being a virgin before marriage is a great thing. Marrying a virgin is equally a great thing. I have/am experienced/experiencing both.

The poster may not have the maturity yet to handle marriage with a non-virgin and there's nothing wrong with that. Its better not to enter thinking he's superman, only to find out that he is tormented for a long time. In time, he will understand if he wishes to that if such a non-virgin embraces Christ, she is as pure as gold in God's eyes. He will love her unconditionally.

Some nairalanders are responding defensively probably because they feel guilty when such a subject is discussed. Someone saying virgins are stingy or become cheats is being ridiculous, because everyone at one time or another was a virgin. Frankly, sex outside marriage has caused so much havoc when partners aren't satisfied and start recalling all their previous escapades. Some avoid discussing their sexual needs at home because they wouldnt want their partners to say dirty words to them about their past. In the process, they seek their cravings outside the home.

Nothing is better than two persons being virgins before getting married! Please let us encourage our young women and MEN to uphold their virginity.

to fellow Nlanders who are talking about character as a requiremnt for a good partner, i think the topic here is about marrying a virgin as against a non-virgin and does not talk about the content of the person's character. its purely from a sexuality point of view.

i assume everyone agrees that character is a key component for marriage irrespective of other things.

thanx ebonyeyes and others for your commendations on my comments. we cant fail to teach our kids the beautiful things of life even if we have made mistakes in ours'. sexual intimacy is a strong bond.

NLanders, Jesus gives another chance to us all to make up for our ugly past, whatever it is, if any be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold all things are now new!

Nigerians na wa o. people have attested that he predicted the match correctly yet many say funny stuff. I dont know much abt TB apart the ugly stuff I hear but I would be very foolish to judge him. The wisdom of Gamaliel says that as a false prophet comes, so does he go. If he is one, he will soon be gone.

Biblically, you don't urge/force a prophet to tell u what willl happen. Its a revelation. Its not a guess game. Revelations ONLY come come when they are released from Heaven and revealed to mankind. Even God did not reveal everything to man from the beginning. Most prophecies that were even told were had to be 'decoded' with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Some Nairalanders just want to know the results now if possible. Lets do and work hard jo and prepare for our match than wasting time waiting for someone's prdeictions, whether accurate or not. What will be will be!

its a sad tale but it isnt new and ITS NOT EVERY GIRL ON CAMPUS THAT DOES THIS. infact the percentage is a small one.

its all about societal status. like someone rightly said, its INSECURITY AND INFERIORITY. You dont need good clothes to read your books!!!!

the shameful men are equally as guilty. afterall, no one can do such stuff by himself. it takes two to be messed up.

As a caution, lets not get carried away by looks of such women/girls emanating from lust and eventually bring disaster into our homes.

all this curses and insults, una no dey tire? huh cursing no go change the situation.  LETS BE POSITIVE-MINDED NIGERIANS EVEN IN THE FACE OF DEFEAT smiley! isnt dat how we handle our own lives?

the result was obtained! that was their objective. how they got it doesnt matter. what matters now is how they are going to play Kenya. yes, they weren't convincing but what were Nigerian expecting at this stage in the qualifiers? there was some improvement compared to the last game and some of the changes into the team were ok, particularly Ayinla (for me). they showed more pace and verve. the mambas came to get a draw, looking to break on the counter, so it wasnt going to be easy for our present average team, but they tried. the naija boys were frustrated not having a goal early enough but they showed strong character in pushing forward and eventually scoring.

we still have a slim chance as usual. with what I saw about the mambas, they can help defeat tunisia. its a sad situation to be in but you have to use what you've got. we just have to do our part against Kenya and do it well.

if we do qualify, i urge NFF abi na NFA to overhaul the tech crew and act fast with a new one, so we can prepare a decent team for the WC2010. At least with over six months, we can put forth a good team. talents plenty!!!!!

Fellow passionate football lovers!! wink

Everyone has been talking about the misfortunes of Nigerian football in recent times and particularly this year embarassed. Flying Eagles out huh, Super eagles one leg out undecided, golden eaglets no comments huh, falcons clipped finally somewhat shamefully cry.

What should be the way forward for our darling national sport cool? Lets contribute CONSTRUCTIVELY AND POSITIVELY. Insults don't provide solutions, wink

Opinions pleaaaaaaaaaaaase!

1) Administration is the key issue. Politicking has killed our game as well as the hunger for dirty money. For me I urge Presido Yaradua to use his stubborn nature to flush out the present administrators. He should bring in seasoned patriotic ex-footballers in the key technical areas.

2)Wipe out the present coaches in all cadres. Most were appointed politically. Bring in successful coaches like Kadiri Ikhana, Samson Siasia, Stephen Keshi, and introduce others.

3) Set up academies in all states and enforce the use of the MRI immediately on registration and in schools. Talents boku even at age 12! This one is key o! Our players peaked much earlier due to falsified ages.

Let us hear from you!!!!! smiley grin cool wink

SportsRe: Germany Vs Nigeria (U-20 World Cup) [3 -2] Ouch! by larimo(m): 10:29am On Oct 08, 2009
hello Nairalanders abi Nigerians,

Lets stop being abusive about things! Our very terribly spoken words are the reasons why nothing progresses much in Naija. Would we ever be this abusive to ourselves or our family? Haba! Its not good. We can criticise but not insult people anyhow. We insult and offer no solutions. All we do is insult, insult, insult! How many patriotic things do we do in our own areas of endeavours! Rubbish!

There were blunders in this game particularly in defense. The germans were gifted 3 easy goals. They showed a character that we have lacked throughout this competition - discipline. About out players, why are we so critical knowing that from the group games, they have lacked the attacking prowess? It was certainly not going to change dramatically against Germany. However, they showed they can improve by scoring twice, something they never could do at the group stage (forget Tahiti).

Siasia did make some errors in pushing too many players forward in the dying minutes, but he showed that regardless of the team, he has been able to adapt his tactics to contain such a team. For me, he is tactically sound. However, Siasia had one problem - picking the wrong team. Why he did that, I dont know but I assume that he didnt have enough time to act well. We all know he complained often about the defense before this tournament. Siasia cant be written-off because he showed that if given enough time, he can deliver.

I have drawn some positives from game. I think Rabiu Ibrahim, King Osanga and yes Ighalo should be drafted to the senior side. Many will insult by saying Ighalo didnt do anything, but how many Nigerian strikers today have such strength to hold off defenders as well take countless shots at goal? Rabiu has what no Nigerian senior player has today - creativity and vision. Osanga has got quick feet and he's pretty decent in crosses.

The future is still bright if only we stop being insultive and do nothing but think on how we can move forward. Lets remember that there was a time when Ghana and Ivory Coast was out of place in african soccer but they have come back with a bang! We can bounce back too.

For me Siasia is still the best and cannot be compared with  Amodu.

God bless!
