LRNZH: This why your Biafra plans are on shaky foundatons. Nothing Ipods do is based on intelligence or good research.
Where have you heard that there are Tiv people with Jos origins?
With all the video evidence of Kanu soliciting for arms to fight Nigeria (the Zoo), how can't he be considered a risk to Nigeria's national interest?
Has Edward Snowden (wikileaks) physically hurt a fly before? He doesn't have the balls to enter any US held territory because he is considered a US national risk as well. Snowden only leaked national secrets. He hasn't even asked for secession in the US. The day the US apprehends him, he will rot in Guatanamo Bay which is worse than Kuje prisons.
Nigeria is doing Nnamdi Kanu a favor sef.
Nnamdi Kanu lacks wits hence his predicament today. Your rejoinder is hereby nominated as the "Best Post of the Week!!" Here, go to the bar and have a drink on the house. chisupport: I started listening to Radio Biafra since early last year, when Nnamdi Kanu was the sole anchor of the broadcast. That fellow called Nnamdi kanu made so many statements capable triggering ethnic cleansing (like what happened in rwanda in the mid 90's)...He threatened to kill all who opposed his cause for the actualization of Biafra. He ordered his Gullible followers to burn down any bus that had the picture of Kumuyi the deeper-life pastor all in an effort to stop their crusade in Aba. He called all yoruba preachers and pastors children of the devil and even stated that no member of any ''yoruba church" would be allowed to become an IPOB member. He threatened to make somalia a paradise compared to Nigeria. As a matter of fact, Nnamdi Kanu said all manners of inciteful and Hateful statements capable of keeping him in prison for d rest of his life........ I no know say you sef hear am! In fact, if the state security services can lay their hands on the audio tapes of those broadcasts or on the transcripts, Kanu will stay in the cell for a loo-oo-ong time. His newborn son would have reached puberty, before he smells the air of freedom again. |

Secondly, none of the Gitmo detainee is a US citizen.
In this case these people are Nigerians held on Nigerian soil but some criminals in power refuse to obey the simple principles of separation of powers and the rule of law. You can't enforce the law by breaking the law. That kind of arbitrary abuse of power is a pure recipe for anarchy .
I'm not in anyway surprised by all this. Anybody could have predicted that the Mumuharri , the Daura President is too daft to understand how an orderly modern society works.

I've never met a tribe as foolish as that tribe called igbo. I disagree. It is not all Igbo that are foolish. It is just a minority of them that keep arguing blindly on this thread, by trying to twist logic on its head and substitute propaganda as fact. They seem to think all those reading their comments are dumb, or have not done their research on the events that took place between 1960-1970. They have also forgotten that we all have relatives who were eye-witnesses to the series of events that took place during that era - people with facts, figures and documents that can actually detail what transpired on the Nigerian political scene. Most of those arguing blindly here about Awo's so-called 'sins,' and the creation of the old Mid-West were not even born during that era, and are too myopic to accept that each participant during that period had valid but different perspectives of every event. They feel their own perspective is the only one that is valid, despite evidence to the contrary. Thank God for newspaper articles that documented what transpired way back then. Only God knows what version of the truth, these people would have forced down our throats. |

Point of correction. All the oil fields are NOT Northern owned. Stop exaggerating. It kills the validity of any points you try to make. People like Alabo (Dr.) O.B. Lulu-Briggs who owns Oil Mining License (OML) 114 concession (ex OPL 230), and Chief Odoliyi Lolomari who is one of the owners of Uquo marginal field, are from where? The North? OPL 96 is being operated by Dubri Oil, whose owner is Dr. Uduimo Itsueli. Where is Itsueli from? The North? Guy, ownership of the oil fields in Nigeria cuts across several ethnic groups from the South and the North. In fact, if you analyse most of the blocks owned by Northerners, a lot of them have not been productive. Most of the oil wells that have produced oil in commercial quantity are owned by Southerners. cjlooks: Ajah roundabout is completely infested with pools of commercial buses, countless number of tricycles, traders on every cardinal point of the roundabout (islands and side-walks inclusive). Please is that not madness?
Even more madness that present government is completely adamant about the abuse of an infrastructure built and expected to be maintained with tax-payers' money. Fair enough, men in police uniform are often seen on the roundabout but totally dismaying that there is no sight of law & order being enforced. Infact handshake exchange with naira notes in-between are often seen between commercial drivers, touts and the police.
Bus drivers, tricycle and okada riders are now "kings of the road" inflicting pain to the noble and law-abiding private driver whose tax each month (that he obediently pays) can possibly buy 2 tricycles.
Well, maybe someday Governor Ambode will wake up to consciousness and attend to the call of duty. What will it cost to build a bridge at every roundabout on lekki-epe expressway (jakande and ajah roundabout especially)? Definitely not more expensive than the luxury flats springing up all of a sudden in Ikoyi axis, probably owned by beneficiaries of His Excellency's government. What will it cost to relocate the bus parks and markets that have infested (like virus) the roundabouts to a dedicated inner corner and have them execute their business in a controlled manner without interfering with the Expressway?
Hey... It is not rocket science to govern Lagos efficiently and effectively. Just have the political will to do the needful! This is where I personally duff my hat for Babatunde Raji Fashola for his success as Lagos state Governor. His shortfalls regardless but the now Honorable Minister walked his talks more often than not. Lagos state is a serious business, not for Ajebos! May God bless you one million times on Sunday. I don talk dis thing tire, but nobody is listening. May God deliver all commuters on the Lekki-Epe expressway from chaotic traffic, and incessant road madness. It gets even worse when there is fuel scarcity, and the queues form on the expressway at the entrance of any available station, selling fuel. It took 1 and 1/2 hours to navigate 3rd roundabout at Ikate to 4th roundabout at Oando station today. May God save us all. |

“I’m for truth, mo matter who tells it. I’m for justice, no matter who it’s for or against.”— – Malcom X
With trepidation, I have been watching the subtle descent into dictatorship by the administration of Muhammadu Buhari. I have been watching with disgust President Buhari’s war against freedom of speech. I am very concerned about desperate attempts by President Buhari and his sentries to muzzle the voice of self determination. I am very upset that a government of All Progressives Congress that claimed to love freedom is engaged in deliberate subjugation of innocent citizens who happens to have different views about the state of the polity.
I am very concerned that an innocent man is being denied his freedom. I am scared that an innocent man is being subjected to illegal detention. I am not comfortable that an innocent man is being tried for desiring freedom for his people. I am very disturbed that a non-violent man is being inflicted with unwarranted and undeserved travails. I am worried that a lot of unwary observers who are not properly schooled in the elementary tenets of democracy are vilifying an innocent man.
Nnamdi Kanu is an innocent man. He has not committed any crime to make him deserve the kind of treatment being meted out to him. You do not have to like Nnamdi Kanu. You do not have to agree with him or his desires for his people. But no one has the right to deny him his fundamental human right to be free. No one has the right to deny him the right to self-determine his destiny as he sees it or wants it. No one has the right to shut him up because they do not like what he is saying or because they feel threatened by what he is saying.....
“In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility – I welcome it.” – John F. Kennedy, in his Inaugural Address January 20, 1961 He has committed treason, and has also fallen foul of the sedition laws in Nigeria. udokpuenyi: In all this, he has only employed semantics. He has only deployed sophistry. He had only appropriated the airwaves to be able to reach his people. He has not acquired arms. He has not killed anybody. He has not declared any armed war against anyone or organization. The only war he has ever declared is against the continued subjugation, enslavement and denigration of his Igbo people. It is a war of idea. A war of and for the minds of his people to see what he is seeing, to desire what he is desiring, to dream what he is dreaming. And he is doing that peacefully. He has been able to make his case to the majority of Ndigbo and the youths of that nation who are indeed the future of Biafra.
He is mobilizing his people to engage in the struggle to be free from their enslavement by the Nigerian State. He is making a clarion call for his people to stand up for their rights and self determine their destinies, or collective destiny. He has been innovative. He has been peaceful. He has been determined. He has been methodical. He has been deliberate. He has been consistent. He has persevered. And he is making sacrifices. There is nothing criminal in or about this...... He has deployed hate-speech, launched invectives against other tribes, unleashed acerbic vitriol against various ethnic groups over the airwaves, defamed prominent people using his mass media channel, and fanned embers of disunity into a crescendo that could turn into a conflagration causing internal strife, within this country. By doing so, he has turned himself into Public Enemy no. 1. That was how the Rwanda war between the Hutus and Tutsis started all those years ago. It is a pity that people do not learn from history Is that how to make a case for self-determination?? Anyway, thanks for letting us know you support his hateful antics. Obviously, preaching messages that incite hate, is not a crime in your view.... |

I was also appalled when CNN reported that some elected senators of the federal republic of Nigeria from the SE were busy supervising the rigging of the presidential election just because they want OBJ TO WIN AT ALL COST. We on this side knows that Olu Falae is the better candidate and we voted for him while our SE brothers voted and also rigged for OBJ and this was how the evil seed which PDP represent begins to germinate in the SE. The people of SW under the AD begins to move in another direction to deliver the dividends of democracy to their people but were being seriously hampered by finance, this notwithstanding the people begins to believe that there is hope after all. I remembered how Yoruba elders were deceived by PDP in 2003 and they fell for it, only BAT resisted the PDP'S forbidden fruit and he was called all sort of names then but we all know how it all ended. A certain governor names Orji uzor Kalu also survived the PDP onslaught the question is where is this man in Nigerian politics today?. While the people of SW begins to recognize and appreciate BAT as a man they can rely on to chart a way forward for them what did the people of SE did to OUK?, assuming OUK is not up to their expectation why not another person?. This is the problem, everybody wants to lead unfortunately LEADERS ARE BORN NOT MADE, how can APGA adopt PDP's presidential candidate? does it means there are no presidential material in the whole of APGA?. The people who took this horrible decision whose interest were they representing?, despite the fact that ACN was supposedly a regional party Ribadu got a presidential ticket even though he didn't win he got some votes he even won a whole state, WHICH MEANS HE IS POTENTIAL FOR THE FUTURE. HOW A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO CHOOSE PERSONAL GAIN ABOVE COLLECTIVE GAIN BY THROWING AWAY A SIXTEEN YEARS OPPORTUNITY OF BECOMING THE BEST REGION IN THIS COUNTRY, CAN BLAME OTHERS FOR THEIR WOES HAS LEFT ME DUMBFOUNDED. This is why i only feel pity for this people and nothing more, can't they see that their leaders have a lot of questions to answer? why pretend that a man who took over the government of this country just six months ago is responsible for their condition? WHY DIDN'T THEY PROTEST WHEN ONE OF THEM WAS RULING OR AM I MISSING SOMETHING? Mynd44: There is also an issue of integration. I would like a rail system that runs from Ibadan to Lagos with stops in Ogun State. This way, you can live in any of these three states and work in another.
Then link these states with Osun, Ondo and Ekiti. That will encourage companies that want to set up in these states as they are sure their raw materials can easily reach them And their products reach any market in the SW easily Good idea!! But can the governors of these states get their act together to drive this project?? Rail transport is capital intensive and has a long timeline for completion, as a lot of heavy construction work is done in laying the tracks etc., That is why I suggested getting private investors to come in after creating the enabling laws, and giving them tax holidays so they can recoup their money. The population that would use the service is huge, and with proper management the investors should be able to recoup their investment in 5 years or less. Getting right-of-way and paying compensation to villagers whose land would be required for the project would be the prerogative of govt like you had suggested in your earlier post, but they could work out an arrangement that would see government taking up shares in the the railway company, after the tax holiday expires. During the tax free period, a percentage of the commission on tickets sold to passengers could go to the govt, even if corporate tax is not paid by the railway line owners due to their pioneer status. Any shops located within the railway terminals would not be exempt from tax. And PAYE could still be deducted from employees salaries. In 2010, Spain built the Madrid - Albacete railway line spanning 304 km. Cost per km was 9.57 million euros per kilometre or roughly 2.9 billion euros for the entire project. In China the Yichang-Wanzhou railway line was built for 9.1 million US dollars per kilometre. Total cost of the 377 kilometre rail line was over 3.4 billion US dollars in 2011. The rail line consisted of a mixture of tunnels and bridges which spread over 278 kilometres out of the 377 kilometres. Source: http://www.railway-technical.com/finance.shtml |

Akexstinger: Stop spouting like a rocket, who told u anambra spent money in developing the oil wells? Do u know the difference between a well that has been explored, drilled, cased and capped? For your info, those wells were drilled and cased by federal government "Elf total,Mobil" in the late 1960s n 70s, and after discoveries that the crude oil from these drilled wells were not in commercial quantities, the wells were not fully developed, they were cased n then abandoned.
So where is the anambra money coming into this? And besides, who says building a refinery means u are the owner of the wells or that u have reservoir in ur place? Or don't u know the difference between refining and drilling?
And that any country can go into refining business even if there is no crude oil deposit! We have japan, aberdeen, and so many countries where they have refineries, PTI and yet they don't have crude oil deposit.
So if anambra spent millions of dollars in building a mini refinery, that is their own cup of tea, as far as we are concern, those wells are in kogi state.
Kogi state can decide to build their own refinery later at their own time pending when they feel like exploiting the wells to the fullest capacity. Its all about going to into MOUs with china, singapore, japan and u will have a mini refinery in 8 months just like niger republic have done. So please spare me that issh of anambra spent money. Ibaji is my local govt. Where have you been??! You disappeared from NL for a while! |
