babyosisi:Ah. . . .you are back to your favourite 'Muslim-bashing' mode. Take it to the religious section. Its' not too far away! ![]() |
Leila, In Nigeria the wife would either develop a thick skin to his insults, or turn round to show him pepper, if she is the feisty kind! Another thing she could do, would be to report him to his family, so they can have a word with him (but this one could backfire, sha o!). The last alternative, would be for her to sign up with a gym and lose some weight, get some new clothes and brush up her looks, to the extent that even his friends would notice and start telling him, how lucky he is to have her! ![]() Sometimes, obesity or fat could hinder a woman's chances of conception, especially where it has an effect on hormonal balance. So she needs to get this checked. |
FBS:Uh?? Wetin concern Kogi for inside this matter now? Abeg, make una no confuse me o! |
TayoD:Erm. . . .which one of MTN's 'subbies' or consultants did you work for? Was it Alan Dick (West Africa) or Plessey? Just curious ![]() |
Er. . .how many people saw the late Mahatma Ghandi in a suit? ![]() |
P.H.C.N - Power (with) holding Company of Nigeria P.H.C.N - Please Hold Candles, Now. P.H.C.N - Problem Has Changed Name. To be frank & sincere, anyone who can solve all the wahala of electricity generation in Naija, should win the award of Man (or Woman) of The Year!! Can you imagine, even the GSM networks are begginning to blame NEPA oh sorry, PHCN, for the congestion of their networks, and the rate of dropped calls! ![]() |
As far as I am concerned that Ambassador should be recalled home immediately, and posted to Siberia. Na real yeye man. America has problems, but you don't see or hear their Ambassador going to lament to his host country, that it is actually the youths of America, or the ghetto blacks, the Italian mafia or the Hispanic drug lords that are criminals in his country. Instead, he reminds you they are one of the world's super powers, and they can kick ass, if they have to. ![]() Same with the German ambassador. He doesn't go to his host nation in any part of the world, to tell you that the skin heads or pro-Nazi German groups should be held responsible for crimes committed by German citizens, in that country. Instead, he goes ahead to extol German efficiency, promote bilateral talks that would tilt the trade balance in Germany's favour, and make people think his country is the best thing in the entire world. ![]() Every ambassador world wide, knows that you highlight the positive aspects of your nation, and try to down play the bad. Where bad incidents occur, you try to soothe ruffled feathers while doing your best to protect the image of your nation, and protect the interest of your people. So of what use is our own ambassador, if he cannot do these things?? ![]() |
Mmelu:Post the source of your information, please. And don't forget to include the different locations, where all these buildings collapsed. Last time I checked, the number was nothing near the numbers, you quoted above. The government needs to do more, to bring the builders of such houses to book. |
Er, correct me if am wrong, but I do believe denex was being sarcastic. ![]() |
I have said it before and I will say it again - War is nothing, but the absence of wisdom. Let's hope all those involved have learnt their lessons. What did the Biafra war achieve? I still can't get a good answer to this question. Another question that bothers me, is how come the Hausa, Fulani, Edo & Yoruba politicians were killed in that 1966 coup, and all the Igbo politicians escaped? Answers, anyone?? ![]() That war affected people in different ways, so it is only to be expected that when people tell their own stories about the war, they will tell it from their own perspective. I have met a lot of people who were resident in the old Mid-Western region, who have sad tales to tell about that war. They were badly treated by armed troops on either side. All am going to say is, let's respect the memory of the dead. Those who paid with their lives on either side deserve to be remembered with touching prayers, for their souls to rest in peace. May that kind of war never visit this nation, again. |
Hehehe. . . .iyen ni wipe eyin naa ri pe won ti saa si omo naa, lati ile wa! |
@Chichi81, Na wetin be your problem? You are always attacking the Yoruba, Edo, Akwa-ibom etc. Wetin dem do you? Oya, now that you have posted all this long story about HIV in Calabar area, make sure you post all the latest statistics of HIV infection in your own area o! So that everyone can spot the difference. |
Na correct culture be that one, jare! Those who designed it had the best interests of the women, at heart. It should be retained, fortified and even made a national law. No wonder the Igbo men are more 'careful' with girls from their ethnic group. ![]() |
@tpia, Please 'fashi' this guy, jare! He will keep going round and round in circles, even when the facts are there for everyone to see. If the truth came & smacked him in the face, he still wouldn't recognise it, for what it is. |
Freewilly:Hehehe. . . .na who dey talk? You?? In what way did he get me hands down on the Igbo naming ceremony nonsense, to use your infantile words? The guy denied that such a thing took place in Alaigbo. Even his sidekick, babyosisi also supported him vehemently that it never existed in Igbo land. We cited references to show that it did, at one point in time. In fact, Asaba was given as an example. Your friend Donzman came up to give us the pathetic excuse, that Asaba was not a representative Igbo society. Only God knows what he means by that. If you do not support the statements made by those scholars, cite your own references too, to disprove them. Period. A large number of those references, were works by fellow Ndi'Igbo, like himself. No Fulani, Gwari, Yoruba, Efik, Edo, Anang, Ijaw, Kanuri etc. person wrote those things. The references came from eminent Igbo scholars like Michael Chukwudalu Echeruo who defined igi-afa as 'naming ceremony' in his Igbo-English dictionary which is used world wide, as well as Sam Uzochukwu, a high-ranking professor, as well as foreign scholars. So what on earth is your beef? Did you follow the trend of those comments at all? Please don't take us backwards, by making us rehash all the issues that brought us to this point. Let us move forward, and leave the floor to those who want to thrash out more important issues. |
Donzman:In what way is she being economical with the truth?? Or do you think everybody is obsessed with crass mercantilism like you? Obviously, everything boils down to naira & kobo in your eyes! ![]() |
champredd:Abeg, no put mouth inside this matter o! It looks like Donzman has met his match at last!! E don tay wey e don dey abuse person. Na today e be like say im come meet person wey pass am. ![]() Wey ThiefofHearts, Militia, Tera Cotta, Afam, Imani, Cute-ass & everybody? I say wey all of una dey? Na me go collect tickets for gate, once this fight start o! Oya, na this side make all of una perch. *Rii-ii-iiiing!*! (sound of bell!)Let the grammatical punches begin!! Warning. . . .no hitting below the belt o! No collective insult of any ethnic group. Anyone indulging in such acts, will be disqualified. |
