It is not about the number of days to name cabinet members but how credible the cabinet are and deliver as expected.

I expect them to be silent achievers and let the or work speak for them and not paying some columnist to write stories about them in the dailies.

CareerJob Listings For Africans: Part I by lavylilly(op): 5:26pm On May 27, 2023
JOB LISTINGS FOR AFRICANS: PART I

Every day, I receive a minimum of 5 inmails from from people looking for jobs or internships.

I would feel helpless because I thought I couldn't help them since I don't have an organization in which to employ them. I had forgotten that I can help them using what I do best: getting information, collating it and sharing with those in need.

So I will write a series of job listings and include website links so that guys can find it easier to register onto the platforms and make their job hunting easier

Good news: all these platforms allow job seekers to search and apply for job opportunities, and offers career advice and training resources.

1. LinkedIn: A professional networking site that allows job seekers to create a profile, connect with professionals in their field, and search for job opportunities. Type jobs on LinkedIn and you can find a list of opportunities.

2. Indeed Africa: A job search engine that aggregates job postings from thousands of websites, including job boards, company career pages, and staffing agencies. It has a dedicated portal for African countries.

3. Job ber man: A job search website that serves Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya.

4. Careers24: Careers24 is a job search website that serves multiple African countries, including South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya.

5. Ngcareers: A job search website that serves Nigeria.

6. Afringa: A professional networking and job search website that connects African professionals with job opportunities in Africa and around the world.

7. Fuzu: A job search website that serves multiple African countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.

8. BrighterMonday: A job search website that serves multiple African countries, including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Nigeria.

9. Africa Job Board: Africa Job Board is a job search website that serves multiple African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa.

10. Joblist Africa: Joblist Africa is a job search website that serves multiple African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa.

11. JustJobs: A job search website that serves Nigeria.

12. NaukriGulf: A job search website that serves the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, including countries like Egypt, Morocco, and Algeria.

Chinese would teach you time management, you call them master, disregard for your health and we'll being.

Indians would teach you how to manage resources no matter how little (They are racist)

Lebanese treat you like pieces of trash

Sri Lanka they are coming soon

Americans, damn the best place to work in my honest opinion, they work hard and party hard, you call them by their first names, excellent working environment

British, they don't joke with vacation/ or paternity or maternity leave. No pressure at all.

Nigerian depending on the type of company, you work like Jackie, no leave and can be sacked for the most minutest of things (avoid businesses owned by pastors). In some, you only get leave when probably there is a demise of your parents or you getting married.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: My Experience Working In A Nigerian Startup by lavylilly:
No organogram.

No career ladder.

Your appraisal/promotion is linked to eye service or the whims and caprices of the owner

If you leave them for a structured company, you would be shortchanged most times as the new firm cannot accurately read your level and worth. The organisation will most likely throw you to entry level even after "years of experience".

Some of them intentionally run like startups for a long time. Avoid them that is why Physical interview is still the best, you can access them and find out a few things from the staff

Reject every virtual interview be there for a physical interview and ask necessary questions
