JOB LISTINGS FOR AFRICANS: PART I

Every day, I receive a minimum of 5 inmails from from people looking for jobs or internships.

I would feel helpless because I thought I couldn't help them since I don't have an organization in which to employ them. I had forgotten that I can help them using what I do best: getting information, collating it and sharing with those in need.

So I will write a series of job listings and include website links so that guys can find it easier to register onto the platforms and make their job hunting easier

Good news: all these platforms allow job seekers to search and apply for job opportunities, and offers career advice and training resources.

1. LinkedIn: A professional networking site that allows job seekers to create a profile, connect with professionals in their field, and search for job opportunities. Type jobs on LinkedIn and you can find a list of opportunities.

2. Indeed Africa: A job search engine that aggregates job postings from thousands of websites, including job boards, company career pages, and staffing agencies. It has a dedicated portal for African countries.

3. Job ber man: A job search website that serves Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya.

4. Careers24: Careers24 is a job search website that serves multiple African countries, including South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya.

5. Ngcareers: A job search website that serves Nigeria.

6. Afringa: A professional networking and job search website that connects African professionals with job opportunities in Africa and around the world.

7. Fuzu: A job search website that serves multiple African countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.

8. BrighterMonday: A job search website that serves multiple African countries, including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Nigeria.

Let me advise you as a chartered accountant
1. You lack confidentiality- why are you posting your company business and numbers online. Any potential employer will be discouraged.
2. Make use of linkedin and other job websites
3. Learn data science and basic tech your skills
4. Write acca or ican if you haven’t

There is a current argument on Salary Increments for employees, Many are of the opinion that if you work hard you should get the reward and others say it is a privilege because you can do the needful as an employee and still not get a raise.

Americans, damn the best place to work in my honest opinion, they work hard and party hard, you call them by their first names, excellent working environment

British, they don't joke with vacation/ or paternity or maternity leave. No pressure at all.

Nigerian depending on the type of company, you work like Jackie, no leave and can be sacked for the most minutest of things (avoid businesses owned by pastors). In some, you only get leave when probably there is a demise of your parents or you getting married.
