Should that be the point of Falz's message.

The point is Ladies should stop engaging in transactional sex. Men can likewise also learn from that.

Why are people always wanting to play blame games?.

Why don't you work on yourself first?

You tell a seductively dressed lady to dress decently to avoid rape, she will then say why don't you also tell men to stop raping.

Why don't you dress decently first and see if the other won't take care of itself.
Nonsense. People r.ape grandmas for heaven's sake.

IslamRe: Hijab, Muslim Rights In South Africa Respected by LDaVinci: 10:42am On Jan 18, 2019
Lukgaf:
This Is Happening In A Country With < 10% Muslim Population (pics)

This is South Africa, where Muslim population is less than 10% of the entire population. With that, they (Muslims) are not denied their constitutional right. Females are allowed to use Hijab, even veil in universities. They will not ask them to clear beard before they can get government appointments.

In Nigeria, they will ask our army forces to save their beard as if that will deter them from using guns. Some group will be protesting because Muslim females use Hijab as if their daughters are forced to use too. It is annoying!

When are we going to be matured in this country?
Sir, there are different sensitivities at play in different societies.

There isn't a fear of radical Islam in SA. As such there is no compulsion to resist elements of Islamic tradition that the society may regard as extreme. On the other hand there is not just a fear of radical Islam in Nigeria, there is also massive Islamic Terrorism and an extremist Islamic Insurgency. Indeed, Nigeria is roughly evenly split between Christians and Muslims in a largely adversarial set up fraught with deep suspicion and repeated violence.

Nigeria is a member of the Organization of Islamic Countries and this is a huge sticking point for many Christians who see this as a subversion for a constitutionally secular state. The constitution of Nigeria proclaims Nigeria a secular country but Sharia Institutions are littered all over the constitution and Sharia law has been enacted in most Northern States. All of these lead to a natural adversarial tension which leads to measures to curtail certain elements of Islamic tradition that may appear overbearing.

The truth is that it is extremely dangerous to allow people to go around incognito with their faces hidden in a society bedeviled by terrorism - that is nothing but a risk. Finally I dont think anyone will disturb you if you wear a Hijab in a private place or gathering - but you cannot insist on perverting the rules of a school or the army for instance by donning something different from the prescribed uniforms of these bodies. As to the question of a beard, even mere banks often insist their staff are clean shaven to appear professional: how much more an institution with the discipline of the army?
PoliticsRe: What Nuhu Ribadu Wrote About Atiku In 2010 When He Was EFCC Chairman by LDaVinci: 10:19am On Nov 13, 2018
seunmsg:
If Atiku had emerged as APC candidate to challenge Jonathan in 2015, the PDP people queuing up to lick his corrupt stinking ass today would have brought out all these allegations to show Nigerians that he's unelectable. APC is well aware of Atiku's dirty dealings and hence, he was never allowed to occupy any position of significance in the party. If PDP is serious about coming back to power to serve Nigerians and not to loot as usual, they would not have put forward a rogue that contributed significantly to destroying the country.
Hmmm. I guess this is the same way puritanical APC is aware of Tinubu's many shady dealing and thus why they have "not allowed" him to occupy any sensitive position.

Kudos.

It's baffling your Party devised BVN and TSA in 2014 but couldn't start any action on them. This is beside the Constitutional Conference of the same year, which they spent billions on without the willpower to see to its implementation! Now, you people are weeping that a people who were opposed to the jamboree from the beginning should do the Implementation.

In any case, Buhari isn't going anywhere next year. His Presidency continues. Know why I know? Because of the sole reason that you Igbo people are backing Atiku! Everything you touch becomes an addled egg! That's why the only thing you know to do is putting all your eggs in one basket, only to cry Marginalisation later.
This is quite a ridiculous riposte. How does any intelligent person make so many unfounded assumptions. My Party? PDP is not my Party sorry. Igbo? Sorry again, I am not Igbo. Backing Atiku? Another miss.

I dont know if your moniker is a suggestion of the year of your birth - but if it is then you should be 42 years old this year. That's enough time in the world to understand how to make a basic argument. You response is disgraceful and has nothing to do with the point made in mine.

it is not about how far i am willing to go , it is what shouild be reasonable. Ok what if i extend to nanny that should be lower than baby sitters. They are all into child care which is very important because their care is the reason for your child's behaviour and culture which will question your parenting or will appreciate your parenting and it's a responsibility of every parent to teach their children about moral ethics and behaviours etc. So child care is very important because an ugly childhood will produce a beast in the society
Nobody denies that it is important. What is at issue is scale of remuneration and needless to say factors such as complexity and degree of expertise should come into consideration. Thus it is unreasonable to say that a nanny should earn as much or more than a neuro surgeon.

There are so many levels and types of teachers that its ridiculous to simply just say "Teachers".

Freed? And all these women that have been "freed" from this responsibility told you that they wanted your freedom, abi? So demanding the rights of women to work as they please is "forcing them out of the home" and "snatching their freedom". The delusion of you comedians will never cease to amaze. grin
Indeed the OP's description of this as "freedom" is eminently bizarre and I am waiting patiently for him to come back and throw some light on it as one really must wonder at this strange definition of freedom especially as he has gone so far as to state that any attempt to allow women to work must be "resisted."

If homemaking is that "honorable" go and do it. The foundation of far healthier societies than yours is built on individual liberties of all people. Not on reserving the role of housemaids to women and deluding yourself that it is "freedom". No woman is running from Denmark or Sweden to Saudi Arabia so she can embrace "freedom".
Indeed no one in the world seems eager to embrace this unique brand of freedom which the OP is advancing.

Oh, this one is a "right" too? Not a legal compulsion or a social demand. It is a "right" to wear bin bags over your head, looking like letterboxes (in the words of Boris Johnson). And that is "modesty"? I wonder why men don't dress with that same modesty.
The OP is indeed welcome to campaign for modest dressing so long as he does not then go further to insist that wearing a hijab is the only form of modest dressing for women.
IslamRe: Islam Vs Feminism: Equity or Equality? by LDaVinci: 12:29pm On Nov 02, 2018
Lukgaf:
Islam’s universal declaration of women’s rights would include the following:

1. Men and women have been given dignity by their Creator, but forces of immorality and darkness attack it in many ways. A prevalent form of this attack on women is pornography. Pornography is an affront to the respect and honor of women and produces an atmosphere where other crimes against them become possible. In many countries it has become an “industry” and they are exporting this filth to all parts of the world. Newer technologies, especially the Internet have also become mediums of choice for the purveyors of filth, posing a serious threat to morality everywhere. Pornography must be condemned and all trade in porn banned universally in the same way that dangerous drugs are banned.
I am afraid this bit may smack of some degree of intolerance. For whilst pornography may be a sin under the Islamic worldview I think you should bear in mind the fact that there are other worldviews within this world and in some alternative worldviews there is nothing wrong with pornography. This is particularly so in light of the fact that whereas for some "sins" (such as murder or theft) the wrongdoing is universally evident in that there is a clear act of depriving another human being of his or her rights (to life or property) - whereas in the case of pornography there is no such clear or universally discernible denigration of the rights of another human being.

Also I should point out the fact you have described pornography as an attack on women despite the fact that both men and women participate in it. I hope this is not a subtle hint that you tend towards male chauvinism in spite of the noble ideas expressed in your opening post?

2. Prostitution must be recognized as a despicable act of exploitation of women. No one who condones it can be taken seriously in their claims to respect women’s rights.
Again, why do you say the exploitation is of women here? I would understand if you specifically referred to se.xual slavery in terms of forced prostitution but where you refer to prostitution as a whole I think you mis-characterize things when you describe it as an exploitation of the rights of women. If anything it may be seen as women exploiting the se.xual weakness or depravity of men for money and material gain. And also for power.

3. It is the responsibility of the husband to provide for the family. Islam has freed the women from this responsibility so she can take care of the home. All efforts to snatch this freedom and economic security from the women and forcing them out of the home into the labor force must be resisted.
It is very curious indeed when you describe what appears to be the insistence of your religion that women must stay away from empowering work and stay at the home front as freedom. This is a very strange type of freedom indeed especially when you proceed to make it clear that there is no escape in your worldview from this strange freedom - since you insist that any effort to allow women join the labour force must be resisted.

Indeed you are so far gone in this respect that you actually describe such efforts as "forcing" women into the labour force whilst you do not see your own stance at all as "forcing" them to remain at home - which is clearly imprisonment. Strangely, you describe this as "freedom."

Why is this the case sir?

4. Homemaking is a very honorable job and a serious responsibility; it is the foundation on which healthy societies can be built. The societies that disrespect homemaking lose the homemakers and result in broken homes as can easily be witnessed in many parts of the world. It should be recognized that the trend to belittle the task of homemaking is anti-family and anti-society and must be curbed.
This is a good point and must be noted. Well said sir.

5. It is a Muslim woman’s right to dress modestly, wear hijab, and refuse to be put on display. This right must be accepted universally and any effort to restrict this right must be recognized for what it is: Religious discrimination and/or persecution.
I have to agree with you on this point as expressed: with the proviso that the definition of "modest" attire is surely not limited to the hijab or is it?

6. There is only one legitimate form of the family, that created by the union between a man and woman as provided in all revealed religions. Any other form is not only immoral, it poses a serious threat to the humanity.
Once again I wholly agree with you and I am especially pleased to see that you defined legitimate marriage as being between a man and woman and not between a man and several women.
IslamRe: Islam Vs Feminism: Equity or Equality? by LDaVinci: 12:11pm On Nov 02, 2018
Lukgaf:
Equality is a slick and catchy slogan. But what does equality actually mean? In mathematics if two variables are equal, one can be substituted for the other without changing the result in any way at all. If men and women are equal in this sense, then a woman can do anything a man can do and vice versa. You can substitute one for the other everywhere. Thus a woman can be a truck driver, a coal miner, a prison guard, or what have you. Similarly a man can become Mr. Mom, replacing the mother in taking care of the children.

That such mathematical equality is absurd is manifest to anyone who knows the biological and psychological differences between men and women. Yet this is precisely the direction that the so called gender equality campaign has blindly taken. It aims at replacing the complementary relationship between men and women with a competitive one. The result can only be a social upheaval of unprecedented scale.

Some people in the societies that for centuries refused to consider women as human beings or to give them any rights have gone to one extreme from the other. Islam has nothing to do with such nonsense. When women had no rights in the world, it declared: “And women shall have rights, similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable.” [Al-Baqarah 2:228]. That remains its Command today and forever.

Similar rights, not same rights. Equity, not a blind equality.

Both men and women are equal in their humanity, in their accountability before Allah, in their responsibility to perform their assigned tasks and be judged based on their performance. But their assigned tasks are not the same. They have been given different capabilities by their Creator and the tasks based on those capabilities. This differentiation is not an error that needs to be corrected. It is the only basis for building a healthy and prosperous society. Islam liberates a woman from the modern tyranny of having to become a man in order to get a sense of self worth and achievement.

If Muslims had done their job, they would be asking for universal rights for women as given by Islam and generally ignored in the world today. Based on our dismal performance, and the current discourse on the subject, that would be quite a revolutionary — and liberating —act
Good day and thank you for such a balanced and truly well measured post. This is very thoughtful and refined and as I said I very much appreciate it. There is no doubt that the extreme feminists of today have extended their crusade into absolute absurdity and it is key that just such a post as this is presented with a view to providing much needed balance and good sense in this matter.

Having said that I will crave your indulgence to ask a few questions which I do pray you will be so good as to oblige me with.
PoliticsKeyamo Receives N450 Million From NNPC For Buhari's Campaign by LDaVinci(op): 12:54pm On Oct 25, 2018

The source has told LeadersNG that this is part payment for the Directorate of Media and Publicity which Mr. Keyamo heads. Buhari was not a part of this.

I have been reaching out to my sources ever since this news broke and this is the gist.

Saraki has planted moles in many places including the DSS.

This is how they could get something on Kemi Adeosun and also how they could be aware of some of the happenings in the Presidency and also how he could write a report against magun and rather than first presenting it to the President, went straight to saraki with the report first.

That mole is the DSS boss.

He acted based on instructions from Saraki and not the Presidency.

What we all saw today was a script orchestrated and played by actors known as senators.

The woman who challenged the DSS man was supposed to do so with another woman from Ekiti to make it all look real.

The DSS officers were all bribed and well paid for this make believe invasion and the aim was to further postpone the reconvening of Nass under frivolous reasons.

Here is a picture of one of the DSS operatives and your guess is as good as mine regarding what is in his hand.
How long has PMB been aware that the Head of his Secret Police reports to his enemy and why has he done nothing about it all this while?
