PoliticsRe: Gaddaffi's Last Formal Speech by LeStylo: 11:27am On Aug 12, 2014
The media gaze and propaganda has since shifted to another vulnerable country to pillage and destroy to save the glory of the West. Few months after Libya fell, America announced self-sufficiency in petroleum from shale oil fracking technology. A curious change of event especially when we all know the technology is crazily expensive and will soar the pump price of gas in a totally capitalist economy. And it will only still be logical to depend on comparatively affordable imported crude.

For those who knew Libya, it's a sad turn of events and demise a good but imperfect African leader.
For those who fell to the propaganda, the West remains the saviour of the world. It had saved Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Somalia and South Sudan.

PoliticsRe: Four Rail Lines’ll Be Completed This Year –FG by LeStylo: 11:17am On Aug 11, 2014
Sincere9gerian: The Abuja-Kaduna standard guage rail line was started in 2010 and has now reached 85% completion rate according to this report. Isn't that substantial PROGRESS so far? Aren't you happy about that?

Likewise the rehabilitation of the 1,657km eastern narrow guage railway has PROGRESSED steadily since 2012 in spite of delays due to the Boko Haram problem in the northeast. According to this report, certain sections of that line will be completely ready by end of August and put to use. Aren't you glad about that?
Yea, the Abuja-Kaduna line made an unprecedented progress that's nothing short of impressive.
PoliticsRe: Four Rail Lines’ll Be Completed This Year –FG by LeStylo: 11:11am On Aug 11, 2014
HappyJoe: Story.

The Warri rail has been 77% complete for almost a decade.
The truth is that the last significant effort on that line was by the Abacha's government. Obj did not touch that line with a 6-foot spanner.

The Lagos-Kano line was over 80% completed following efforts from Abacha and Obj governments. A close friend worked on this project, and another friend at Costain West Africa led the Northern team for the project completion.

We have recycled more rhetoric than ideas at the uppermost level of leadership in this country since independence.

youngmonie: hmmm... Nigerians dnt see the future, remember whether now or 20 years time an hausa man will still be president of this country whether we like it or not. GEJ is laying a bad precedent, it can suit us now , we are ok with it and shouting they should impeach all of them, but when that time comes...............................
It's a shame. When CIV was laying the foundation of what later became a 10-yr unrest, the nation applauded. Little did they know what havoc the societal segregation would give birth too. No leader in our history has so unabashedly fueled those things that divide us. The nation must really be careful before we burn down the nation for political vagaries.

So well Nyako. I never loved his style nor appreciate his performance smiley

The train is likely moving towards Ogun state, where there are more lawmaker decampees from APC into PDP over the weekend. The lawmaker will want to try their numerical strenght against the governor soon.

Meanwhile, the gimmick had already failed in Rivers and Edo. From the trend, need i say more about who might likely be the instigator-in-chief?

slimthugchimee: Huge white elephant project. Whats the need for this now dubai is already a great place this is just a waste of money
Despite the marvelous achievement of Dubai in barely too decades, it is still dogged by seasonal flow of tourists. This is largely due to the very harsh heat wave from the Sahara in summer. Flight tickets and hotel accommodation crash at this time. A temperature controlled area will be a juicy all-year attraction especially to the money baggers from the West.

Tourism has already overtaken oil as Dubai highest revenue earner.

That's the stuff LEADERS are made of.

Christianity EtcSouth African Pastor Makes Members Eat Grass by LeStylo(op): 9:53am On Jan 09, 2014
God forgive for saying this, but how stupid can some people be? And how do you follow and obey another human being so blindly? A pastor in South Africa, Pastor Lesego Daniel (you will find his pics after the cut) is making his members eat grass. Yes, grass!

Pastor Daniel, who is the founder and Head Pastor at Rabboni Centre Ministries, situated at Zone 2 Ga-Rankuwa, north of Pretoria, said he was basically trying to prove that humans can be controlled by the spirit and they can eat anything to feed their bodies. I don't know how he managed to convince his members to go outside the church and start eating grass, but he! Unbelievable!

Scientifically, Lesego has taken the human psychology to a fresh level. Man can make man do anything only if he make him gullible enough.

PoliticsRe: Which State Governor Deserves The Award For Best Performing Governor In 2013 by LeStylo: 1:19am On Dec 27, 2013
Le Stylo: Without bias the following have performed quite well this year in no particular order:
1. Rauf Aregbesola = Osun
2. Sle Lamido - Jigawa
3. Kwankwaso - Kano
4. Babatunde Fashola - Lagos
5. Ibikunle Amosun - Ogun

Please note that the year in focus is actually 2013 hence i have not included Rochas Okorocha - Imo, Akpabio - Akwa Ibom, Sullivan Cime - Enugu, Oshiomhole - Edo, "Iroko" - Ondo. Others IMO have been merely struggling for average or far below in performance - Kwara, Plateau, Kogi, Niger, Taraba, Kaduna, Sokoto, Ekiti, Delta, Abia, Ebonyi, Cross River, Kebbi, Anambra etc.
Contenders for worst position IMO:
1. Kwara
2. Kogi
3. Delta
4. Rivers
5. Kaduna

Again, 2013 is the year in focus please.

isaajibola: Lecturer teachn student from home doesn't guarantee best in student, I can say dats a lazy stuff at times, sum skul wu normally teach student from home re an ONLINE INSTITUTION. Go find out abt foreign skuls like HAVARD UNI, OXFORD UNI, YALE UNI,TORONTO UNI and co hw students were receivn lectures. Weda d remaining UNIVERSITIES do it or not, dat doesn't mean dey re nt d best. UNILAG still remain d best in LAW, OAU still remain d best in ENGINEERING, UI stil remain d best in MEDICINE. Its gud for every student to knw hw to operate system dou.
It says "send assignments from the comfort of their homes", the OP modified the topict. It will be foolhardy to think this will be a replacement for actual teaching in the lecture rooms.

Scorpionking: Nigerians are ignorant about other parts of africa.Nigeria is not even 7th place in giant of Africa. I often hear you guys mocking countries like zimbabwe and namibia. Have you ever been to Zimbabwe? Zimbabwe and the rest of southern Africa are incomparable to shitty west Africa,Southern Africa like Botswana,Namibia,Swaziland,Zimbabwe and south Africa have subtropical climate like Southern California and Australia ,blue skies, rolling hills, snow capped mountains etc,4 seasons, even the nature is amazing ,that is why even white people love and settle in Southern Africa.
even without skyscrapers the southern Africa is generally more appealing.you guys need to travel more.western African climate is simply not conducive for first world development. Africa is a big continent, not every were in Africa is like Nigeria
the countries likely to be first world in Africa by 2040 are Botswana,South Africa,Namibia,Swaziland and zimbabwe
What a way to think! What has climate got to do with first world developmenthuh Another warped thinking trend. Our climate is heaven compared to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar where even the "First world" developed nations refer to as next generation cities!

Would you dismiss him without bothering to clean the poo?

That Obj reeks of filth is not news; that we allow ourselves to be carried away by the messenger and not the message is my concern here. As far as the message was concerned, Obj was spot on! GEJ's leadership calls for concern. Despite his short-comings, Obj's patriotism remains undiluted and that is incontestable!
