It might not be the amount in the account. It could be lump some of money, unexpained source of income and a lot of stufff like that. This is why the caips note is important. 2 Likes |

Just for reference purposes... The VO doesn't know you. All he knows is what you put before him.
And as far as i know...whatever claim you make to them without proof is void especially the finance and employment aspects.
If you can send all this documents talked about here without being asked by the V.O the better for you.
You are judged by the documents presented...do so beyond every doubt.
Finally no one should ever get trv denial for a visa application you don't need a face to face interview. It is as simple as that. Hmm. Isn't this the most difficult? I personally feel people deduce different meanings from what they read as opposed to you having the chance to explain what your documents mean. 1 Like |

OdeyemiAdekunle: Morning gurus.... Please I need your assistance I want to apply to memorial university... Please I need guide on how to go about it . Am reapplying again due to the fact that I was refuse... I also want to share my testimony on this platform.. Help me out.. Thanks Hi, Do not be in a rush to apply to schools and all that stuff. Although you weren't detailed enough when you shared your profile, your proposed course isn't related to your previous study. Your finances are kinda also not sufficient. I think you should take your time. Start by emailing your school and ask for a refund of your tuition. The earlier the better cos some schools can like to drag it. Then get a course that is related to your undergraduate degree. If you have a good cgpa, try to get a masters degree admission. Also about finances, make sure you have an idea of what the tuition fee is. so you won't be shocked when you find out it's high up there. You might need to get a co sponsor. All in all, take your time so that your next application will be successful. All the best. 1 Like 1 Share |

Why are people submitting their transcript to VO? I thought transcript was only meant to be submitted to the school u are applying to for them to give u admission? Ur degree certificate is enough No need submitting things that are not required for study permit and implicating urself in the process Sometimes this is necessary, for instance, in a situation where you had to specialize during your undergraduate studies and then you wanna proceed to do a masters in the course you specialized in, you need to show the VO that you have taken the courses through your transcript. Sometimes people have reasons for submitting specific documents, every application is different. 3 Likes |

prettytolar: Why do most Master's degree programs in Canada require someone to get a supervisor first? For some couple of months now, I've been mailing several profs and doctors regarding a space under them. Its either there's no available space or I don't receive any response from them I understand that this can get frustrating. Pele. There are schools that do not require you to get a supervisor cos they will assign one to you, you just have to do extensive research and find them. Also the good people here have dropped tips on how to secure a supervisor on this thread, i think if you read through it and follow the instructions, you will get a positive response from a supervisor. Just do not give up yet. 2 Likes |

Hello likeababygirl, what if you're in your late twenties like 26-29? Will the landed properties of your sponsor still count? Yes it will count. To be honest, i will rather you focus on the 'purpose of visit' and 'insufficient funds' denial reason. Once your proposed course is related to your previous study and your finances are okay. You are good to go. 1 Like |

MrMarc:
This information can be misleading as this statement isn't completely true...
People who got denied for lack of home tie (Inability to convince the V.O that they would return after completing there program) obviously weren't ophans as they have families.
What is home tie?? "In summary; These are compelling reasons that mandates/persuades or make a person to leave a foriegn land and return to ones home country"
It is your duty to convince the judge (V.O) with facts and evidence before he passes his verdict on your application.
Relationships comes in different ways when to be used as home tie.
1. Your kids, fiance, wife and hubby are strong relationship ties that can compel anyone to come back after studies. "There must be proof" birth certificates, marriage certs e.t.c
2. Your parents becomes a reasonable tie of you can convince the V.O that you are the only person that can take proper care of them as they are old can only be happier when you are around hence you are highly needed to return home and care for them.
3. I don't see any situation where your siblings become a good enough tie. (Don't bank on this alone as home tie pls)
4. Family business (Once it is documented and registered)
Finally as for your parents/sponsors' landed documents, those are not "your" home tie as your parents/sponsors own those property hence i would classify those as financial clout of them being able to foot your bills rather than your home ties. In simple terms; How does your parents lands compel you to return to Nigeria after your studies??
Thank you. Uncle, nobody is saying your wife or kids aren't home ties. Your parents and siblings are home ties too. If that is the case, people wey never marry no suppose dey get visa na. Your parents landed documents are home ties. Willed or not. If things go the other way in Canada, you can always come back to your parent's house. Also, family business and all that only applies to people that have registered business, what happens if your parents are not self employed? Anyhoo, me i have said what worked for me and other people i have seen on this thread and dazzall. 4 Likes 1 Share |

knight4cent: I submitted my application for student visa 9th of may 2017 ,and I received a message yesterday which says. Dear applicant I have reviewed your application and document which you submitted in its support. I have a concern that you have not fufilled the requirement put upon you by section 16(1) of the immigration and refugee protection act. On the current application form, you indicate that you have never been refused any kind of visa, admission, or been ordered to leave Canada or any other country.According to information in our records, you were refused a visa to the united state in 2015. I would like to give you an opportunity to respond to this information, I will afford you 15days from the date of this letter to make any representation in this regard. Please use the address noted on this letter for all correspondence and clearly indicate your file number.if you do not respond to this request within the time outlined above ,your application will be addressed based on the information available, which will likely result in a refusal. My nairalanders honestly I was refused USA visa in 2015 ,but it seems I mistakenly tick no when filling the form. Pls what do you guys think of my chance of getting this visa based on this message.am so scared.pls I need ur opinion. I think you should take your mind off getting the visa and focus on not getting a 2 or even 5 years ban. Just reply them and explain to them logically how you made the mistake. 1 Like |

MrMarc:
1. Paid Job where you can be given an introduction letter and or study leave (preferably with pay if possible)
2. Family Thats if one is married.
3. Registered business with verifiable documents
4. Landed Properties in your name (with evidence)
5. Bond letter This is usually from your work place after you have gotten your leave with pay which states that you are mandated to return and resume work (usually the duration of the time of your study).
This and the finance section of your (all) study visa application are the most important. You do not have to be married before your family can serve as hometies. Your parents and even siblings can serve as hometies. Also, the landed properties do not have to be in your name. Your parents landed documents can serve as hometies especially if you are not self sponsored and you are still in your twenties. |

If you are travelling this summer no need to buy from here. In Canada you can get really cheap jackets and warmers at outlet malls. Most times what they regard as thick here is a serious learner when you experience winter in canny.
My opinion doe Actually you still need a jacket. Not necessarily the very thick ones sha. This is needed especially if you have never been to a country with a colder temperatures. Weather is still around 15-25 degrees which is cold for a typical Nigerian. So a light jacket will do for now. |

@derel the earlier we realise that GHANSTU is fast the better for us. Ok if people would cooperate let's take statistics on those that passed the processing times. You would c it's mostly CALASTU.
And let those with GHANSTU that have gotten response tell us their processing time. It's usually less than the proposed processing times.
Oya let's take statistics then we can now predict when application would be attended to.
Just a researcher oh

Have been a silent follower of this thread for some time now. I have been skeptical applying for PhD as an MSc holder considering my cgpa before seeing WES post here. I went and input my grades on WES and got 3.24/4 as my equivalent GPA. The schools I see require 77% and 78% to apply.
Hope am good to go? Please Reply me gurus in the house let me start applying immediately.
Going for Chemical Engineering.
Experience guys should reply me please.
Since 3.24 is above 78%, you are good to go. Also, some people do not meet CGPA requirements and they get their admission. Just make sure you fufil other requirements and pray. All the best. |

Freshestc: Good day House, am so happy for this thread... I have a lot of questions to ask. 1.As a graduate of mass communication, is there a possibility of me getting admitted into a Canadian university to study Human resources Management as a Masters program? 2. Without being employed can i still bé granted admission? Thanks It depends on the school's requirement, ask them. However i'll say if you don't have at least (3)years work experience in HRM, don't go for it cos possibility that your visa will be denied is very high. To be on the safe side go for a communication related course. Admission solely depends on the school, some do not require work experience just academics. If your gap isn't too wide, i think you are good to go. 1 Like |

Thank you for remembering. I had put my two and two already and decided against Cameroun about two weeks ago. I will be applying from the comforts of my home here in the Plateau of Nigeria. My school said if visa is delayed, I can come latest November and be fine. Care for me to ask, could your friend be under a final order of removal in the United States? Meaning does he have valid visa? Because if you are under a final order, they make you leave and apply abroad. Please check with him/her. I was really hoping you will apply from Cameroon so we can learn something new (prolly a short cut to getting study visa). Anyways all the best. 2 Likes |

Are you in Canada already? Yeah. Decided to do unfurnished because I don't know who used the furniture before. Especially the bed and mattress plus i heard that there are lots of bed bugs and those kinda stuff in some apartment in Halifax I'll rather just get new furniture that i can trust.
