moscobabs: you are right but dont forget the Older generation were Contented unlike our generation that want to be rich by all means , our heart of desperation makes thing harder for us That is history revitionism, you know. "Contentment" then was a myth. The emergence and profliferation of "yahoo" then known as "419" in the early 1979-1983 by mostly state-sponsored Nigerian students abroad and their compatriots at home is something that was well-documented. I suggest you read on that part of history. |

TheN1: I still don't understand how apple does it. They just sell the same exact phone as last year, move the camera around and the whole world starts scrambling for it.
With all the disadvantages like lack of in screen fingerprint scanner, big notch, small battery etc. It's almost as if their fans are 'hypnotised'. I mean, I can understand if people just like apple phones and decide to wait till there is a drastic change in design, but switching from 11 to 12 and now 13 is just crazy. Almost same design and spec for a ridiculous price.
I really admire the apple marketing team, those guys are geniuses. You don't need to do illegal stuff to scam people. My sentiments exactly! Anyone who upgrades from the 12 to 13 has no idea what to do with money. |

fineboynl: Lol you don't have a customer base and you want to rent a room and parlor. And using the parlor as shop. I can see reasons why you mom think you are not sharp and very dull.
You need a shop at a busy place. Make alot of samples of your work and display them to passerby.
Better remain where you are and rent a shop first and not a room and parlor. And you think you are smart with such a comment? |

I left exactly around that age, even without any pressure from my parents. So, I wonder what you're still doing there with all the insults.
As for your fiance, what part is he playing in establishing your tailoring biz? Or he too is "slow"? so much judgement in one comment. You have no idea what she passed/passing through that prevented her from taking the bold step yet you sat comfortably from your sofa spewing nonsense. |

The reason why this guy posted this thread was to gather people together who will eagerly start raining curses on the government for their worst state.u derata dably, the economy is bad.this is the worst government I have ever experienced.some people are still surviving and raising their families through side hustles.even when u travel to other countries,u won't have the luxury of running one job to take care of ur bills. The guy who posted this trash was expecting the FTC guy to start raining curses on buhari, but the guy told him the plain truth of what people are doing to survive.if u guys don't want to side hustle to survive, then don't blame the government for making ur life miserable Egbon calm down! Who are the "you guys" you are refering to? The ops thread might be motivated by simple observation which has nothing to do with his socioeconomic status. |

Honestly some of us believed so much in Naija...my wife won't even forgive me for all the ignored opportunities abroad...here I am today desperately looking for an escape route by all means at least for my kids.
Naija is looking hopeless by the day. You should be forgiven for your miscalculations and missteps, however, you should be noted as an individual with little foresight ,morever, you are not alone - alot of people who actually have the means to leave never did mainly due to wishful thinking that "the country will get better in the foreseeable future". Am glad such people are now learning the hard way. Additionally, i sincerely hope young people take note and make hay while the sun shines. |

30naira: Your research might be a bit distorted by the negative conspiracy theories arou d artificial sweeteners.
aspartic acid and phenylalanine are the 2 main ingredients of Aspartame. Theses are ingredients you would find in many fruits and foods you consume daily.
You would need to drink 15 bottles of diet Coke in a day before it can become harmful Exactly! The fact still remains there is no evidence to suggest aspertame is worse than sugar, in fact, reverse is the case. |

Ikwerelastborn: You're ignorant, aspartate which they use is sweet and even worse than sugar That's debatable if not baseless. There are no conclusive evidence to back such claims. Infact multiple studies/ health authorities have pointed to artificial sweetners being a better option than sugar, it may even have some benefits. Nonetheless, people are urged only to take it in moderation. That said, Stop scorning people you barely know for no good reason, it makes you look so stupid and immature. |

A 15-year old minor and virgin, and a 50-year old man = RAPE.
Report the man to the Police, have him arrested and charged.
As for the pregnancy, how far gone is she? If it's still in its early stages, she doesn't have to keep it. She's only 15 and has her life ahead of her. Definitely ask her what she wants to do, though, because her decision is what matters. She is 16 not 15! |
