Nothing much to learn here, just the normal things i already know, but boy! I enjoyed the article, captivating and intresting. It's a case of hardwork+luck+fortune+God grace all lumped together. That girl dosen't know she belong to the fortunate 1% in this country.

You won't understand. You will always have to prioritize a lot of other things first. Given enough time, the car go still drop, but one must always do the most important things first.

Like I always tell people, too much money is never enough money. When you start earning a substantial sum, that's when you will realise that the things you need to put in place are sooooo much.

Eventually, all the things you want would be done, but it would only be a function of time and how good of a manager you really are.

Great read OP! I'm loving these Nairalife threads, always refreshing to read. Salut!
The lady in question is very fortunate and unarguably among the lucky few: a net income of around 500k monthly, a relatively well off and supportive bf and a kind sister doing her Phd abroad, all at 25, kai! Baba you sure say this life balance?

I didnt say rap was bad i myself love rap. Its my fave music. African americans are great at rapping. I love lil durk n lil baby n lots more of them. What i was implying was if i said all african americans rap or join gangs i would be wrong it would be a stereotype or generalisation. Thats wat i meant
But you are also guilty of these stereotypes and generalisations. Reread your subsequent posts where you were mindlessly lumping Africans together, and painting us all with the same brush as if we are all one, forgeting the fact a Ghanian is different from a kenyan,in both culture and way of thinking. Matter of fact, even here in Nigeria not all of us subscribe to the stereotype that BA are lazy, because we know better. These shitty we vs them mentality is stale and depressing and backward to say the least.

Get out abeg.
Continue pandering to her. Shameless thing.
It is a fair generalisation to say that Black Americans are cursed with victim mentality.
I swear you are a fool! You know damn well that you have no idea what you are talking about yet still typing rubbish. Saying African Americans have victim mentality is like saying Nigerians are scammers, which is a baseless generalisation, which is what you dumbos keep screaming about. You don't paint people with the same brush due to actions of few. I won't pander to your shitty view just because i'm a Nigerian,f**k that. Say what you like, that's on you, and neither will it change my opinion. Again, how would you feel if Nigerians are labeled as Lazy scammers?

Buhari, APC and our entire leadership has failed the people..
But what pains me more is when these same oppressed people start carrying brooms and umbrellas for washed up, packaged ass-wipes for critical leadership positions
It will only get worse.
2023 will either make or break this country.
Which make or break? Forget all these wailing and lamentations, come 2023 Nigerians of all stripes will vote along setimental lines. The politicians already know Nigerians thumbscrew - just promise them heaven and earth and they will gullibly give their votes.what's next? another charlatan guising as a politician is elected, give it time and he will begin to show his true colour. And the vicious cycle continues. It has repeated itself time and again, Just forget it, sufferness no dey tire Nigerians.

Mumu appreciate this one first. Then we charge them to do more.

Besides, the only thing mediocre about the stadium is your power of reasoning undecided
By unnecessarily insulting that poor guy you showed how clearly unrefined and uncultured you are.... Besides, he is right, in this time and age, building such a stadium reeks of mediocrity and backwardness - better stadiums were built in the 80s far superior to this. Have you seen the new Tottenham stadium? An epitome of innovation and modernity! Unfortunately, years of bad governance has conditioned Nigerians to see mediocrity as the norm, too bad.

Oga oo but rent is surely cheaper in naija
Rent largely depends on location. A one bedroom apartment that cost $2000 in San francisco may be around $700 in Dayton Ohio. These analogy also applies to Nigeria where a one-bedroom apartment in Eko Atlantic city is around 7.5m naira, same apartment is a mere 200k in Ikorodu. Besides, the housing quality in the US is far superior. What we could houses in Nigeria are merely doghouses.

Im good o. Ive decided to settle down, haha, they're here for you.

This country speaks Gaelic, I'm sure youve heard Enya sing, that's the real Irish language. Due to the influence of the British, the language is dying, just like Igbo. You'll only hear them speak Gaelic in the Countryside or village as we will like to call it.

Here in Dublin, I've never heard anyone speak it fluently, I only hear it in the Bus Whisper, after they mention the location in English, they repeat it in Gaelic, the government has launched various program to boost the language. It's being taught in schools, transition programs to get into higher tier of government and so on. Every Irish in town at least knows snippets of the language, just like I know little of my Nigerian dialect. Chair, go, come, bus stop.... you need to hear the Gaelic Whisper in the Bus, so cute.
Great! You've settled down? Are you married? If yes congrats.

Food in Nigeria is expensive, infact, the country has one of the highest food prices in the world according to multiple sources. More heartreaking is the fact many Nigerians earn below the minimum wage thus they can't afford to eat good food. Ironically, the country is the largest producer of yam in the world yet many can't afford it, pathetic!

This present administration is arguably the best that has ever Graced Nigeria when putting so many factors into consideration. Our agricultural sector is blossoming thanks to President Buhari, the Educational sector is not doing bad either, how about loans for SMEs? This administration is really doing well.
Our current security challenges is as a result of bad eggs in the country who have sworn never to let this administration fufill their good promises to Nigerians

The economy isn't doing too great thanks to Covid 19, but we are growing gradually as a nation all thanks to President Buhari.
Very soon Nigerians will smile and be thankful for everything this administration has done. The records are they for all to see
We love Nigeria.
Nigeria shall overcome
Nigeria shall be great again.
Grandiose illustions. Just for the record it is a UNDP sponsored program.

Yea staying in a hotel (if it’s a good one) might be considered extravagant.

My point is that what we consider “comfortable” in Nigeria could just be bare minimum in other places. So was it truly truly extravagant or was she trying to live at a standard that the rest of the world considers fairly normal.
Between rent/lease in a good and safe neighborhood, transportation, uninterrupted power supply and nutritious meals, she could spend close to that much before adding miscellaneous expenses

Yes, I would also love to see a break down of how she spent the money. I’m interested in knowing the true state of things right now.
Due to the hardship in Nigeria, many interpret the word "comfort" to extravagnce.

[quoteauthor=Iamolukorede post=105346468]I read loads of comment here and I smile, life in UK is outrightly diff from what we have here. I have worked and live outside Nigeria and I can relate to op submissions.

Many of you here saying trash dunno what it takes to stay alive in this jungle called Nigeria and yet non of you have ever stepped/traveled out of Nigeria for once and so for her spending up to that amount might sound strange to many.

It is not time we pause and stand to restructure this country ?.. or is this how we will continue with this failures by this incumbents and previous administration, that no election come 2023 until we restructure this zoo. However, the youth is the vast majority that can savage this country but yet the youth aren't ready yet, rather chasing fast life cars, money and woman tueh ..

The problems of Nigeria are Nigerian's and her solutions is right here in Nigeria. If you know you know.[/quote]My brother what more do you want us to do? We protest we got brutalised.
