AlhajiBitcoin: What we eat in Nigeria is not food.
Can the reader mention the last time he or she ate salad or cheese ??
When they drink tea, it's the N20 sachet or N50 sachet. May God help this country.
Some people don't know there is 1kg milk and Milo. They have never tasted it. These days in Nigeria eating chicken is seen as luxury. |

somehow: So they told you Garri and soup is no balanced diet?
What constitute a balanced diet and do you need to spend 2.5m in 2 months to have 'Balanced' diet? Say what you know bro.... It is a fact that garri has little to no nutritional value. Besides, the lady in question never said she spent whole 2.5m on food, but on her total 2 month stay in Nigeria which is understandable. PLEASE LEARN TO COMPREHEND BEFORE COMMENTING! |

slowice: That's is why we only eat garri and soup, rice and beans then spag and indomie. As a Nigerian, you can't afford daily balance diet(proper meals) for a family of 6 even if you earn a million monthly. You will definitely go bankrupt.
The worst is someone will still be shouting sai barber after drinking garri without sugar. Suffering and smiling people full dis country.
Some certify odes are already packaging atiku and Tinubu for next election. Imagine the stupidity? Most Nigerians are malnourished, but they don't know that. |

Kiasa: 1. Just like the op and others are entitled to air their views I am entitled as well.
2. I am not trying to change the op's mind nor anyone's else's mind but I will refute lies, generalisations and exaggerations.
3. The op experienced 4 months, not years but months in the US and bragged about the little money he made during that time which is nothing, a teenager earns more at McDonalds.
He lied and degraded people he wasn't there long enough to get to know. The real reason he made this thread is to let everyone know that he went to the US and the amount of money he scammed while he was there which can't even pay the rent. You sound a bit upset, i think you need to calm down... |

Derende: I must be very sincere with you getting a 2000 dirhams job as a fresher on a tourist visa now in the UAE is like passing a needle through a camel eyes. The jobs you can get as a fresher in the UAE can range from 1100 to 1700dirhams. And most of the jobs that even pay the 1700 won't even give you accommodation, so at the end of the day you will still be falling back to 1100 to 1500 dirhams salary as a fresher. I always advice those coming to Dubai that have good budget to avoid coming here with tourist visa. If you have up to 1.1 to 1.2million naira It is better you process a two year work permit visa from Nigeria. That is the only sure way you will enjoy Dubai a bit when you arrive. But coming here on a tourist visa to look for job you may likely find your first two years in the country not that funny. Thanks for the info man. You come across as a lovely soul, do you mind if we become friends? |

You need to understand not every Nigerian share the same view with the op, he ain't our spokesman and dosen't represent us, matter of fact, he is just an individual entitle to air his views - some of his claims are outright exagerations and some overt generalisation. However, i wonder why you feel you need to reply every comment here, you can't change some people view nomatter how you try, thus i suggest you give it a rest. |

As for courses I feel it is okay if you have the money . God bless you bro... I like the way you explain every vital information without witholding it. My question is how hard is it to get a job that pays 2000aed a month? |

You've been being properly advised by the above commenters - being nice to your neigbhours ain't gonna harm you in anyway,of course no one is suggesting you trust them easily, that would be naive of you, but atleast simple greetings and a bit of casual talk will go a long way in forstering good relations between you. Additionally, if such nasty incident should repeat itself, don't hesitate to inform your landlady immediately, i belive she would handle the issue appropriately. And don't ever physically assault anyone bro, that could very much land you in trouble with the police, i belive that is the last thing you will ever want. Stay safe and enjoy your stay in your anonymous country(pun intended). |

Bornsinner7: The question is "is there any law banning calls at checkpoints of policemen"??
All of Una begin they advice the guy say make him say sorry and move on..
Yeah it is good to say sorry and move on.. but with all this comments.. it shows that of all us as Nigerians have no right.. the country is damn broken.. imagine police man slap you for nothing and your right na to say sorry
Well.. I'm not saying that we should be stubborn towards law officers.. all I'm saying is that the country don bàjé
Well since my years of being a Nigerian in Nigeria.. I don't think I've heard about any law that forbids that.. it's audible to the blind that the country is a failing state. Besides, saying sorry won't take anything from the guy, besides it's the wisest thing to do. Arguing assertively with a NPF personnel who is hungry, underpaid, frustrated and ill-trained is foolishness. Better safe than sorry. |
