Nigerians and tori, tori culture - our strength and weakness! No one ever dies in Nigeria without the living attaching some spiritual, magic-realism, outright fantasy or political conspiracy to it. ![]() |
Nigerians Slam NCC’s IMEI, Phone IDs Directive: We Deserve Some Privacy!Nigerians don’t deserve more privacy - almost the best definition for a third world citizen is anyway Anonymous since the First World state is more present in the lives of citizens than is the Third World state in the lives of her citizens. Besides, nothing is better for the citizens of a Nation like Nigeria - whose citizens are characterised by Free Abandonment, including the abandoning of all personally responsibility to society- than to be monitored, tagged, registered, categorized , referenced and sub-referenced to within an inch of your lives. ![]() You Cheerleaders of Police killers, Terrorists, Kidnapers and all manner of miscellaneous anarchy certainly don’t deserve anonymity! |
Bialegend: Here is a bit of Dar es salaam. You're proud of this?? Tanzania has beautiful Nature and the industry around your natural wonders is good, be proud of that, not the junk you posted. Although, I bet there are Nigerians that have been so thoroughly brainwashed into seeing nothing good in themselves that they probably see the pic you posted in vastly superior terms to anything Nigerian. |
Well, from my perspective as an ordinary Nigerian man on the streets there are two things I’ve never found in Nigeria, one is the free easy sex everyone talks about and the second are these marginalised Igbo. Please don’t point me to the Igbos, they’re all around me as Nigerians, getting up and down to Nigerian things, as Nigerians do, just point me in the direction of the free easy sex, thank you. ![]() |
pacespot:Concerns over State Police isnt a Northern invention, broad spectrum of Nigerians have raised same concerns as the IGP. |
RobbStark:Hmm, De-marketing. I like it. It's a simple but concise term coined by someone with Insight. ![]() I belive De-marketing is what’s being done to Nigeria by a certain West African government’s financed group - in order to divert international interest and investment to them. Nigerians unfortunately and inadvertently facilitate it by stupidly engaging in politically informed smearing campaigns without restraint due to awareness of the wider implications |
UK is best when you exploit opportunities in UK (although very, very, VERY limited opportunities exist) to create quality of life in Nigeria by building a legacy, taking advantage of the pound sterling. If all you want out of life is electricity, running water and healthcare UK is for you. But life will be boring and will pass you by in the blink of an eye. One year of life in Nigeria is equivalent to Ten in Britain. |
Interesting channel, if you’ve not seen it before: Forgotten Weapons https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bHCVR66mS0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9bULArrKs4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVPxZdBxUJU |
DubaiLandLord1:The civil war legitimised Nigeria, fight another civil war and it ends differently then, so be it, that new war endorses what it endorses. I'm sure if a new civil war ends the way you prefer, you will not claim that it isn’t legitimate or that it settled nothing. For now the civil war legitimised Nigeria, no point arguing about it, my mind’s made. |
Laideabdulahi:Nigeria doesn’t do something like this enough and are subsequently taken for granted. Nigeria has great peoplepower potential but we are too soft, too kind. Nigerians have a very great country but are way too apologetic about being Nigerians –and for no great reason at all given the state of the world – Nigerians need to get up of their knees and stop putting up with crap, enough is enough! Nigerians legitimated Nigeria by engaging in a civil war to keep the country one, Lord Lugard ceased to count from the end of that war. |
Why do some claim Nigeria is illegitimate because the British created it? I ask because these types of people will claim that Ghana forefathers (or is it Founding Fathers) legitimated Ghana in their eyes but do not take into account that by the same token thousands if not millions of Nigerians legitimated Nigeria by fighting a civil war, which in a way was a blood referendum on whether to keep Nigeria. Millions died in that war in the name of keeping Nigeria one. In my reckoning this legitimises Nigeria more than majority of African nations. |
AdakaBoro8:Wow, what an immoral, cowardly, bankrupt and decrepit thing to say. He’ll have no use for your respect since it would be a stain and is obviously worthless... |
fijabs:Start your own line of original tasting bread at home. Use fresh tapped palm-wine for liquid, which will also act as yeast, thank me later. Start your own aquarium business. The best small businesses are ones offering a new niche. Aquarium business should be rare in Nigeria but may work since Nigerians are big on real estate and many are looking for appealing decorations. You could order fish tanks from china, India or make them yourself - there are many tutorials online. Stock up on local fishes. You may also be able to import exhotic fish eggs. Actually Aquarium accessories are big business on eBay. You could start an EBay side hustle. Hobbyists from all over the world will order stuff like mangrove wood to decorate their aquariums plus rocks and stone. Stones that come from lakes and rivers have specific characteristics that make them fit for aquariums not ordinary stones in your backyard. They will buy shells, corals, etc. |
chinchonglee:I do, I'm surrounded by them, and they’re the best. Without them, Nigerian men wouldn’t be the men so many women of other nationalities value. It’s usually lazy, uncouth, brokeass men that dislike Nigerian women. |
Nigerians keep saying States are not viable when actually they are; the governors are the unviable ones. Lagos state illustrates the difference capable governors make. |
chinchonglee:Crap, If it had been the reverse, a Nigerian girl that left him, you'd be first to claim oyigo girls are Soooo loyal, they will stay with you to workout violence issues, they are mature and full of humanity, they wont just automatically tow the feminist line and accuse their man of beating them, they will seek councillors, they understand the value of sticking together, but a Nigerian girl will just abandon you, claiming feminism, Nigerian girls are so vacuous and shallow |
owobokiri:Mayweather is 2 years older than Pacquia, so why would Maywather drag foot in the hope that age would catch up with Pacquia? You’re buying into white racists denials of Merewether’s greatness. Many hate Mayweather not because of his supposed ostentatiousness but because he made comments that implied Africans are physically superior to other races. |
When did Nigeria start responding to France's dog whistle? |
AyakaDunukofia:One day it will be won, no situation last forever. And, actually, should you wish to press the mater, a number of nations have done it. |
He is right. Nigerians used to be practical and imaginative people, I hope we still are and that this period - when we became like your typical African nation unable to see beyond war and charity aid - is an aberration. In spite of the people’s rightful anger at Militant Herdsmen and demands for laws on droving to be implemented, we have the capacity to look deeper for ways of turning this whole situation into one that benefits the majority. The West benefits hugely from African conflict situation it is not beyond us to look beyond our anger, frustrations and resentful sulk to work with the Northern cattle association to create a beef and cattle industry. End cattle droving and begin controlled cattle industry, nothing wrong with that, except you're harbouring simmering resentments and vengeful hatred that blinds you to possibilities for progress. At the heart of the viruses and germs that kill humans in the millions there you’ll find white people digging around for means of control and profit making in the form of vaccines. |
Tsk, tst, tsk, nothing the black man loves more than quick fix, he can never see the long term picture, he can never visualise the shiny diamond behind the uncut stone, always making the wrong decisions ![]() |
ud4u:They were identified and tracked down through investigations. Police worldwide, including Nigeria police that can ask for help abroad, have access to sophisticated means of investigating and tracking criminals. Really, criminals, terrorist etc shouldn’t be difficult to track down in Nigeria because they lack sophistication in covering thire tracts. The wonder is not that the police or military tracked these people down; the wonder is why aren’t many more lethal laws breakers being tracked down and arrested or eliminated? I’ve always thought that the levels of insecurity in Nigeria owes as much to Nigeria security agents not later tracking down culprits as it owes to Nigeria security agents not being able to prevent culprits striking in the first place. I’m really pleased that this time the Nigeria police was able to do what police in the West do, which is apprehend criminals through investigation afterwards when security measures failed to prevent criminal acts taking place. I’d like to add that loss of life is always regrettable but in this instance, considering how deadly the gunmen have been against police, many will understand the police’s use of lethal force. |
Simplyleo:They have to wait in line a long time for even legitimate people haven’t been seen yet. Palestinians are in front behind the Myanmarns; the Rohingya’s that were in front of both are tired of waiting for UN or Joe bieden to act and are now sleeping in one corner. Joe Biden is having ear problem and does not seem to be hearing the Palestinian cry. |
