Not surprising, the Army is not equipped to do police work. Get the Police Working, get the prison services working; recruit more police officers, rebuild police infrastructure to ultra modern standards, build more prisons and nationally we need to move away from the mentality of feeling guilty about the poor. The poor are not special or especially deserving of anything. The Nigerian poor or perhaps those that pretend to represent them are arrogant and entitled.


Functioning Police would get under control much of the current insecurity in Nigeria, return army to the barracks and the NE.

Actually the name Nigeria is so perfect, in addition to the perfect, subtle, cool, unflappable flag, that I’m tempted to believe we were destined. Nigeria is really something special, it’s a pity many are too blinded by hate and envy to see.

I've fought white people all my life but Nigeria is perfect. It’s simple, unimaginative and revealing of an inability to adapt to discard things that fits just for the sake of pride, questionable pride at that. Growing insecurity in the East will also affect all Nigerians similarly and it is no point responding to this by saying, ‘why not let Biafra go’ just as it is no good saying, ‘why not let Bokoharam establish its caliphate out of parts of Nigeria’ as some have suggested.

It’s never about the East alone just as it isn’t about the North East alone. It is a matter for all Nigerians, whether we like it or not. This is true. I've been trying to interest some African Americans and West Indians buying land in Nigeria, specifically in Lagos and Ogun, to broaden their scope to include other regions in Nigeria like Delta state and East but was having difficulty because of unrealistically high prices you find, this wave of insecurity has made advertising the South even more difficult . I’m finding it difficult to t convince many of these people that Nigeria is a huge country and that they are unlikely to even experience a fraction of the problems being over publicised online.

Very big monster, unfortunately there are many of them and it is partly Nigeria’s failure - or a flaw in the internet concept - that individuals like these cannot be traced and charged. My parents went to the village to attend one of my uncle's traditional wedding and my father's younger sister invited her boyfriend in. We slept in same room with her. I and my siblings slept off.
