luizkyworld:Give examples please, thank you. |
Icumsa45:What have YOU done for Nigeria? and, actually, it's beginning to seem as if the so-called Poor are overrated. |
Not surprising, the Army is not equipped to do police work. Get the Police Working, get the prison services working; recruit more police officers, rebuild police infrastructure to ultra modern standards, build more prisons and nationally we need to move away from the mentality of feeling guilty about the poor. The poor are not special or especially deserving of anything. The Nigerian poor or perhaps those that pretend to represent them are arrogant and entitled. Functioning Police would get under control much of the current insecurity in Nigeria, return army to the barracks and the NE. |
U.A.R - not surprised; after all, France has long wanted Nigeria to go the way of C.A.R - my god but some of our people are primitive Ohh! |
VEXT:What do you mean? At least 2 instances are implicit in your statement, neither of which makes anyone a fool actually in the broader sense except a fool in your opinion. |
Rwandans are happy with President Paul Kagame and that’s alright; international media love Paul Kagame and it would seem he is the West’s darling, feted and toasted, which is alright, in a way; but what is alwrong, are Nigerians hailing Paul Kagame when Paul Kagame is not a democrat. Nigerians wouldn’t tolerate, and neither would the international media or West tolerate, a Nigerians dictator however well he ran Nigeria. |
kendrick9:Imagine folks that believe in juju running a Nation ![]() |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ea3bEbnoLxg Meanwhile the real Nigerians do what Nigerians do, help one another. |
Actually the name Nigeria is so perfect, in addition to the perfect, subtle, cool, unflappable flag, that I’m tempted to believe we were destined. Nigeria is really something special, it’s a pity many are too blinded by hate and envy to see. |
I've fought white people all my life but Nigeria is perfect. It’s simple, unimaginative and revealing of an inability to adapt to discard things that fits just for the sake of pride, questionable pride at that. Actually white people built this world – yes they did – by adapting much taking from Africa. I regularly adopt stuff from all tribes of Nigeria without shame or being moribund by obstinate pride in my specific tribe. |
Calculating:Come-on man, dont be naive! It’s not about Easterners alone just as it isn’t about Northerners alone. The fighting up north affects all of Nigeria locally and internationally. Locally the fighting in the NE affects Nigeria in the form of kidnapping, herdsmen and sundry trending insecurity of which Amotikon, ESN and even IPOB are a consequence. The fighting in the NE has resulted in increased poverty all over Nigeria by depriving other sectors of the economy investment spent on the military. Internationally, it has deprived Nigeria foreign investment. dimmed the brilliance of our successes in entertainment and growing software industry. Growing insecurity in the East will also affect all Nigerians similarly and it is no point responding to this by saying, ‘why not let Biafra go’ just as it is no good saying, ‘why not let Bokoharam establish its caliphate out of parts of Nigeria’ as some have suggested. It’s never about the East alone just as it isn’t about the North East alone. It is a matter for all Nigerians, whether we like it or not. You would be funny if you believe that everyone writing about this stuff - hurtfully or helpfully- would not rather be interested in something more positive than this stupidity killings and mayhem unfolding. |
Same types that believe a magician resurrected a dead woman in Sierra Leone are here forming intelligent hard nosed cynics capable of discerning the sincerity or not of this politician Gulak. |
muykem:Lol, this whole thing can be soooooooooooooooooooo anoying but take it easy... |
Cheek, as if Kenyan na catch ![]() |
Capitalism. Signs of Nigeria's growing capitalism. Capitalism conspires to be rid of public fruit trees, sells the public class prejudices that make them cease to grow fruit trees in the front yard and plantains in the backyard; it seduces the mass with supermarket and online shopping until the public become Capitalist Consumers enslaved to the vagaries of the market and economic turns. But, you’re going to blame the government since that is the short-term thing to do and the way some are only capable of ever seeing things and planning them. Even if all farmers are farming optimally, Hearders extinct, prices will follow and upward trajectory above the heads of little matchstick men leaping for them in any long-term graph. |
A lot of so-called Nigerians love this, since to their limited thinking, the political party ruling is tarnished. This type of people dont care for the people of Nigeria they care only for political power. I prey that omniscient powers bestow upon the people of Nigeria understanding and wisdom. |
See, the Mass Stupid who believe that this sort of thing actually happened are the type of people that come online to scream how Nigeria is a shithole and they want to burn elites, kill politicians, chase off police and generally bring down the state and, afterwards, they will rule instead , bringing about better governance, progress and prosperity. ![]() |
mekaboy:This is true. I've been trying to interest some African Americans and West Indians buying land in Nigeria, specifically in Lagos and Ogun, to broaden their scope to include other regions in Nigeria like Delta state and East but was having difficulty because of unrealistically high prices you find, this wave of insecurity has made advertising the South even more difficult . I’m finding it difficult to t convince many of these people that Nigeria is a huge country and that they are unlikely to even experience a fraction of the problems being over publicised online. |
cooljude:Very big monster, unfortunately there are many of them and it is partly Nigeria’s failure - or a flaw in the internet concept - that individuals like these cannot be traced and charged. Like I’ve been preaching for many years now, Internet bares a large part of the responsibility for Nigeria’s current situation and will be for many years to come a power for disability in Africa and rest of the world. An international symposium is required to discuss the abuse of Internet and absolute impunity enjoyed by those that abuse its freedoms. |
Northernblood3:Thinking like this is one consequence of sending your child to school in Ghana. ![]() I’m serious because the inability to take or accept responsibility was never a Nigerian trait. |
naptu2:Targeting immigration offices, assassinating immigration officials, tearing down border infrastructure and disarming border guards, so does this mean Nigerians are foreigners? |
ArcFresky:The majority of people in any one nation are stupid. I assume that the majority French stupid at the advent of the French Revolution were on average smarter and more informed politically than the Nigerian majority stupid today. Nigeria's stupid are way too stupid to be encouraged, as you have encouraged them, to tear down society . The French masses were at the time relatively more enlightened than Nigeria’s Stupid Masses - judging by the motivational comments Nigeria’s Majority Stupid make regularly on the streets or online - and those that manipulated and marshaled the French Majority Stupid were able philosophers and notable intellectuals of the time. The consequences of this lead France to usher in the Age of Enlightenment and the beginning of Modernism. By contrast, imbeciles motivate the Nigerian Majority Stupid consequently mob rule and the society of Scavengers, Rapists, Ritualists, Supper-superstition , Carpetbaggers and Lord of the Fly will rain. It is cynical and rather wicked of the West to continue to sow seeds of such insurrection in the minds of Nigeria or Africa’s Majority Stupid that are at best infantile and more comparably moronic and imbecilic. Nigeria's dumb masses should not be allowed anywhere near leavers of power. All of you that know better please, please stop romanticizing the poor of this society. The African poor need to be guided and protected and governed by the better informed – even if badly. The alternative dose not bare thinking about. |

I continually wonder and feel sad at the thought of just how many of these security officers and IPOB members, dying daily, might have been Nairaland members and only last month on Nairaland arguing hotly. ![]() |
Hardfacts234:Mister, if sponsors intend it, Biafra+10 won’t be able to prevent Herdsmen/Terrorists or Jihadist slipping through the borders to blow up things, you wont be able to do much about it. Threatening reprisals or war would suit them just fine. You can’t have enough wars in Africa, wars are much appreciated by dumb people incapable of doing anything constructive and Africa is full of dummies. |
You can’t have French West Africa falling apart all around while there’s a developing and progressing, all shiny Nigeria in contrast. Bokoharam isnt looking as if it can cut it alone… |
