Nigerians shut down many debates by arguing correctly that Lagos's economy alone is larger than that of many African nations. Some may jealously long for the destruction of Lagos’s economy. Top of African American ire are Nigerians. Nigerians, as the latest Model Minority, was the final straw. From the outset, Trump understood this dynamics, which is one reason his immigrations utterances and to some extent actions, target Nigerians disproportionately.

Nigerians really shouldn’t be endorsing Trump. Unfortunately, as I keep pointing out, Nigerians don’t seem to understand the world.

Years ago, a Nigerian on Youtube commented that Gays and Lesbians should not endorse Obama because Obama was willing to let hundreds of thousands of Nigerians die at the hands of Bokoharam, by sanctioning Nigeria’s ability to procure US military hardware, due to Nigeria’s anti gay stance.The Nigerian stated that gays should tell Obama, “not in my name”.

An African American replied to the Nigerian, he stated that the Nigerian obviously knew nothing about gays and lesbians. The African American stated that as an American he knew many gay and lesbian people. He informed the Nigerian that gays and Lesbians are the most selfish people one could ever hope to meet when it came to their sexuality. He told the Nigerian that gays would happily watch billions die if it meant that they go indulge in their sexual lifestyles.

India and many other African nations remain the poorest nations in the world. Besides this, poverty is no excuse for lack or morals. During the Nigeria civil war when people starved in the East, people eat mice, grasshoppers, insects, grass and all sorts, yet people helped one another and shared what little they had. When Red Cross dropped food aid, people lined up and never fought for grain though in rags, hunted by flies and often walked hundreds of miles to get to any such food distribution centres. These Nigerians only rushed for items when the Chinese dropped sack of grains from airplanes and even then the strong shared what they collected with the weak.

Thankfully though, much of the reporting on Nigeria are based on lies and manipulations. Therefore there is no real cause for despair. Nigerians remain the kindest people in Africa.

Nigeria is a terrible place with terrible people, suffering and smiling is the logo. Nigeria can and will never the better, the politicians are useless, the youth are foolish, the standard not living is the worst. Lived in Russia for some years and regretted my decision to come back, decided to relocate to Benin republic few months ago and it was my best decision, business moving very well, I am happy here because everyone over here seems so contented with the little the have, electricity is 24/7, accommodation is monthly and affordable, no competition between "Big man" and "Poor man". Brazil police is worst than Nigeria's. Actually, police in much of South America are more brutal than Nigeria's police. Right now Nigeria's supposedly scary police are in many places in Nigeria frightened of turning up for work. Brazilian civilians dare not kill and behead members of Brazilian police. Can't do that even in Jamaica, kill police officers like Nigerians did, repercussions would be dire.

Come to think of it, I can't think of many places in the world where civilians can murder police, saying they are angry, and not pay dearly. Perhaps, UK, maybe, but then repercussions would be a slow burner like PC Blakeluck...

Protests are a vital component of a functioning democracy and we ordinary Nigerians must not let deviants and antisocial individuals sabotage future ones. Next time we need to police ourselves when protesting. It's a difficult situation but those of us able to or near where deviants are looting and destroying property need to stop them.

I guess another difficulty has to do with the acknowledged aim of the protests we want to stage. For instance, I sense one reason Endsars protesters did not condemn these looters enough was because at a subconscious level many saw the protest as first stage of large scale political reform - don't want to use the word Revolution- instead of Endsars. Next time , or just generally protests need to be clear at the outset what they intend to achieve with the protest.

I suppose reason this government isn’t seriously pursuing Social Media legislation are, one, opposition will argue that current government wants to silence criticism and two the current governments would want to likewise uses social media unpatriotically against current opposition if current opposition wins next election.

I'm guessing that like in most democracies, constitution prohibits police striking. If this isn’t the case, they need to go on strike in emulation of #endsars; #reformpolicingincludingpaystructure.
