ruzell86:Answer: The work they may get one day because the city is still standing. Destroying the city will guarantee no work, ever. Lagos attracts people from all over West Africa, deport some of them so that there will be jobs for Nigerians. The sentiment is horrible but never forget that many of these foreign Africans often praise South Africa when South Africa deport Nigerians, sighting that Nigerians take South African jobs. |
ahiboilandgas:Davido and co are probably trying to contact, Youth president in waiting, Beyonce in order to organise charity concert. Chris Brown, Youth Chief of Army Staff in waiting, will provide security. Chris Brown’s qualification for the post is defeating women in domestic conflict. |
Seetto:How do we know if you're not one of those destroying Lagos? For all we know, you’re trying to provoke ethnic fighting as part of this agenda. The point is, like you, I have no solid evidence; my interpretation of your words is no irrefutable evidence. |
He was too gentle. If I was leader of Nigeria, you so called youths rioting in the streets, burning and looting people's livelyhood and looking like rejects from Liberia war would get the fire you have been craving. Those that survive, I would kick out of Nigeria because you are no good for Nigeria and you claim life is better elsewhere anyway. Nigeria need compassionate, intelligent people. Getting shot of you scumbags would be my opportunity to weed Nigeria of some bad, retrograde genes. Why can't they be arrested, packed in boats and shipped off to Europe, America and South Africa since those nations care so much for thire skanky entitled asses? Sorry , but what I've been seeing of so-called Nigeria youth, thire heartlessness, envy and hatred for Nigeria and fellow Nigerians was disappointing. I realize genuine Nigerians will be angered by what I state but that's because you people are generous and kind but take it from me those people we all watched running up and down looting, killing and burning don't deserve you consideration. |
2mch:Authorities need to monitor social media, make investigations, arrest people, deport those that are not Nigerians, recapture those that are escaped criminals. SARS reforms need to proceed , officers arrested and prosecuted. Conversely those that killed polices officers, behead one, we are told, need to be arrested and prosecuted |
When or if things settle, police need to gather all these video footages of looters and arsonists knocking about and arrest as many as possible for prosecution. Fake news peddlers also need to be arrested and prosecuted. It is achievable, would take time but these things can happen. |
SegFault:Well, at the beginning of the proitests, some senior members of society went online to pronounce that the people had become more scared of the police than the criminals. Is it any wonder then that the people are now killing police officers and giving criminal murderers heroic welcome? |
Tonylyte:Who oppressed Nigerians? Nigerians are generally too free, I’ve always maintained and some of the ongoing vindicates that opinion. Truth seems as if Nigerians, like those crying oppression, have over a period began believing that they are living the life of the necessary rhetoric of apposition politics. In addition, in the long, un-introspective moment that is the majority of living, poverty can create an oppressive veil over life. |
odogwunaija:There are prisoners in northern states. Freeing of terrorist is under advice given by the West, trying to emulate South Africa’s truth and reconciliation project following the end of apartheid. It’s a stupid advice and perhaps one government was happy to conveniently adopt. Nevertheless as I began, there are prisons up north full of prisoners. |
OBTOREPA:Doesn’t have to be some grand conspiracy, If there’s anarchy in society, it’s not hard to imagine, friends, family or gang members of prison inmates organizing break out for them. |
Which one bu Yoruba assets and Igbo assets again o, see me see trouble? The growth of any part of Nigeria is for the overall good of the people of Nigeria, abi? Lagos, Abuja or Oweri prospers the benefit trickles down to everyone directly or indirectly in Nigeria, slowly the entire nation grows. |
Brandonx:They are not, at least not on the scale some shortsighted, selfish persons want. They are ready for the small battles such as reform police, end Fulani killings, end banditry; end power shortages, provide hospitals etc. One step at a time; during elections go out and vote on the issues not tribal affiliations; love your country and your fellow citizens above politicians; protest for better education, protests for better roads, vocational type training so that people have the practical skills to help themselves in the absence of jobs, keep the missions small and relevant to everyday life. On many issues keep the fight local to your state government. Endsars was achievable, things deteriorated when many online and on the matches, including some so called celebrities, began to say that this protest should be much more than about reforming SARS |
I saw Davido on YOUTUBE in conference with Police Commander, mentioning something along the lines of, ‘Even Chris brown heard about it…’ Imagine the level we have sunk… Chris Brown These are the youth to make Nigeria great? |

What hope for…… ![]() |
Neddstark:lol |
The culprit are Social Media, the rioters on the streets, and authories handling of events. Nigerians need to rely now more than ever on Evidence. |
Even IPOB could be instigating hate against Igbos in Lagos in order to make Youroba attack Igbo. |
Mods need to close these anti Igbo threads. ![]() People just write nonsense without evidence. Lagos is also full of people from all over West Africa, Social Media hides people, so anyone, including foreign troll houses could instigate tribal hate in Nigeria, exploiting social media anonymity. |
People shouldn't make this issue tribal. There are always going to be tribalists, racists, xenophobes in societies and Nations. Even IPOB as s group fighting to break up Nigeria, should be understood in its context. Fake news and the significance of Social Media in contemporary society is the more important issue. The Googles, Facebooks, Twitter, forums, etc what responsibilities do they have |
These back and forths are useless. Get information on the dead and make public, shouldn't be difficult since there was a massacre. |
SoBright101:It's not unreasonable to seek evidence. Since many died, it should be easy to get thire names. Records need to be kept. In any case, you need to publish photos , if thire families permit, in order to make heroes of them. When things settle, a case can be made for compensation and so on. The kekki dead desperately need recording and made public. |
smiliyB:Lives will be lost also because of destroying Lagos, so your argument is weak. When things settle, some people will commit suicide due to their losses, some will suffer mental break down, some will die due to being even more impoverished than they were before the rioting and infrastructural destructions. You may not get it. Perhaps this will help: during the top of Covid, governments around the world were at a conundrum whether to let COVID run its course or whether to intervene. Governments understood that letting COVID run its course in the hope that society may attain herd immunity will still result in many lives lost but the economy would be somewhat safeguarded. Conversely intervening in COVID would save lives but lead to recession and that the resultant poverty dye to recession will lead to many deaths. In the end, many Governments erred on the side of intervention. They did this not because more lives would be saved this way but because it was the moral decision the public would understand. The people are only able to sympathies with deaths that they obviously attaché to tangible thing like Covid. Just as you, smiliyB, sympathies with deaths caused by police or state action. The public are unable to identify with deaths that are indirectly caused by the same symptom. Just as you do not see that the actions of the rioters racing through Lagos, destroying property and impoverishing Lagos will result in deaths too, many more future deaths actually. |
niggadee:Never mind the revolution will be televised just remember the internet will tell lies. Make evidence your friend. |
blacknp:ENDSARS protesters probably meant well. But you’re right; those that talk up conflict disappear when conflict arises. |
NoPlaceLike:This is exactly what happens in African conflict zones, thieves, thugs, Warlords, street kid, the mad, psychopaths, dogs, the UN and the West all come in to take advantage of the ordinary people. You will be degraded, raped and murdered just to satisfy the greed and appetite of a few in comparison to the many. When this happens the politicians that the Youth say they want to punish will be far away; the youths will be killing themselves or taking drugs. Politicians that remain will try to control things in the solace of creating smaller more manageable nations like a Biafra, Odudwa, Arewa but his will fail since there will be a scramble for power, leading to sub-conflicts that will last at least a generation. The West will be looking for foothold in the mineral sector and will do this by sponsoring agents on the ground, leading to child solders gangs. The celebrities, your Nigerian celebrities, will sing charity songs that bolster their income and give them more international relevance., etc, etc |
