Youf - or is it youth - will take over reminds me of this: When kids rule the roost! Children aged eight to 16 are left home alone for four DAYS in TV experiment – and celebrate by raiding booze and playing Fortnite into the wee hours https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-6366635/Alone-Home-sees-children-left-FOUR-days-without-parents.html |
Bakerdav:Take over and do what? Lol, I never thought that stupidity could be so funny. ![]() |
Black music personalities and Celebrities generally have no place in determining political polices. Their use by the embellishment in the various nations where black presence is significant has contributed to blacks languishing at the bottom of every socioeconomic indicator and the bottom of all race based stratification. The ghettoisation of blacks and the relegating of blacks to Class – lower class at that – and not a Race of people inclusive of differing classes is largely their fault. #Say-no-to-celebrities-as-black-spokespersons |
DamZik:Nigeria will survive, she was ordained by the ancestors for a greater black purpose than your small bitter dreams and jealousies. |
Angelfrost:Calm down dear. ![]() |
In addition to all that the warning voices have stated, I’d like to add that these acts are damaging the concept of Protest Movement in Nigeria. For the next decade, the public will not support future protests. |
pacespot:See, you don’t even understand that the foundations of democracy were built on neo liberal principles advocating for Minorities. Minority rights, contrary to that which laypeople take away from the democratic concept of majority rule, are the very purpose of democracy. |
Instead of cussing and acting as if the world has ended due to his Sanwo reported statements, get the evidence in the form of video, bodies of victims at the morgue, relatives of the victims bearing witness , etc. Make hard evidence your friend. |
Clap, clap, come on people, we are Nigerians, resilient and strong. Let's rebuild people, community and relations. Reform the Police, which was the original aim. |
Looking on the bright side, new and better police stations can now be built to replace the burned down ones. Hopefully those given responsibility for replacing the Police station, Prisons and other state buildings destroyed, do so informed by lessons learned from the ease with which the rioting public accessed them. Hope the police stations are built to a formal looking and standardized style, differentiating them from ordinary homes. |
pacespot:Whish there was a rolling eyes emoticon. Look, mister, you have given none of this any thought, it is clear to read in your words. There’s a radio presenter, James O’Brian, on one of UK’s radio stations, LBC, who is fund of stating something that I have found true and useful. Try it yourself. He says this: “Write it down” ; Context: Things can seem clever, fine and sensible in your head and you may even verbalize your beliefs in eloquent, convincing, language; however, the test of its veracity is articulating it on paper or in text. Write it down and flaws will become apparent; you’ll see how the concepts you’ve held dear and nourished for so long collapse and become putrid mulch. With all due respect you sound incredibly naïve and exceptionally ignorant. In addition, your statements are incredibly annoying because property and lives are being lost with scope for greater losses. Do yourself a favor, and the rest of us the same indirectly. Write down how what you and the likes of you are doing is going to end well and create the Nigeria that fulfills the dreams of majority of Nigerians not just you and you mates. |
pacespot:How? |
pacespot:What will you replace the old men with and why should those that voted for them accept who you replaced them with? |
Overthrow the government through the ballot box not through violent street protests. See, if you cause the downfall of the democratically elected government on the streets, like this, you will set a Presidence. Meaning, you create a new culture, and your next president will almost certainly be forced out of office by violent street protests organised by the opposition. |
Nigsrdumb:I'm with you. I was pointing out Hillary Clinton/US Hypocrisy |
In the chaotic days after Hurricane Katrina, an order circulated among New Orleans police authorizing officers to shoot looters, according to present and former members of the department. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/after-katrina-cops-given-ok-to-shoot-looters/ |
The Orangeburg Massacre occurred on the night of February 8, 1968, when a civil rights protest at South Carolina State University (SC State) turned deadly after highway patrolmen opened fire on about 200 unarmed black student protestors. Three young men were shot and killed, and 28 people were wounded. The event became known as the Orangeburg Massacre and is one of the most violent episodes of the civil rights movement, yet it remains one of the least |
DexterousOne:Kent State shootings Twenty-eight National Guard soldiers fired approximately 67 rounds over a period of 13 seconds, killing four students and wounding nine others. Students Allison Beth Krause, 19, Jeffrey Glenn Miller, 20, Sandra Lee Scheuer, 20, and William Knox Schroeder, 19, were killed and nine others were injured, one of whom suffered permanent paralysis. All died at the scene except Schroeder, who was pronounced dead at Robinson Memorial Hospital in nearby Ravenna shortly afterward. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/65/Kent_State_massacre.jpg |
Obierika:Unfortunately there are millions of them up and down Nigeria. They clutch mobile phones created by minds many centuries in advance of theirs. Mobile phones bombarded them with information many are simply too unsophisticated to understand in rightful context. Subversive take advantage and poison some such minds and have done for long a period now. |
DexterousOne:It has happened before and would again if US protestors take to the street as violently as reports coming in portray Nigerian protesters currently. And America is the world’s leading nation. I doubt any third world nation would tolerate the level of anarchy being reported. |
See hypocrisy. If Americans were looting and destroying like the Nigerian mobs are, Trump or Hillary would call on the services of the National Guards and protestors would be shot. Hell, Trump wanted to deploy the US Army to quell Black Lives Matter protests that was nowhere near as destructive as the one going on in Nigeria. |

Nigeria desperately needs police reform and the protests to end SARS, on balance, makes sense. However, trying to bring down democratically elected government through violent protest instead of ballot box, especially when a large part of the Nation, rightly or wrongly, supports that government, is wrong. This can only lead to anarchy and who could reasonably blame government supporters. Even trump supported far-right groups confronting Black Lives matter. Well meaning protestors need to put away the placards for now and return to the streets maybe in a month’s time. During this protest break, watch and assess what government does in honouring promises made. |
Nigerians and false sense of how the world works, lol. Nigerians please take care of Nigeria and stop destroying your country informed by a false sense of your Special Suffering. Anyway, protest going on in Nigeria is just one of many. Currently there are fierce protests going on in Bolivia, Haiti, Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict, Anti-government rallies held across Belarus, Violent Protests Chile tec. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xbzb48rQf7I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIuatPaeBGI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqhFFPK4SLE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1y5bHKATgP8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJJE031HQXo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrq3uN6bCZs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYEOGu6MtA8 |
Faithful007:Necklaces are also worn inside shirt . Wearing those tags outside shirt does not redact purpose. You’d be more convincing arguing west invented dog tags, therefore do as the west does and wear dog tags inside shirt. Or, they are more liable to be torn off and lost wearing them outside shirt. |
Faithful007:Why? |
Be clear, this woman is effectively calling for the arrest, prosecution and certain imprisonment of the relevant prison Warders when things return to normal. |
southniyikaye:My god see mentality. ...and these are the people that will make Nigeria better? One day Nigeria need to purge population, too many people in Nigeria are not Nigerians. |
Reads amateurish, like an ill-informed piece of journalism, like someone passing off conspiracy talk by one or two warders as fact or just commenting for relevance sake. I find it impossible that warders would free prisoners unless the warders’ themselves are criminals. Sorry, but her entire story is implausible. |
RuudVanNisteroy:Channelled by whom to whom, how, where? when leaders know little about leading Nations and new people like even you will be swallowed up by a none existent system because political amateurism, for want of a better word, led to the situation whereby no enduring civil service is in place to do much of the governing of the nation. In a properly functioning political system Civil Servants virtually teach the new team voted in by the people how to govern. Records help employ the right civil servants. |
Tumbulum:That will not happen to me and millions upon millions of Nigerians in Nigeria. I'm no mathematician but I would wager that chances of Fulani beheading me is slimmer than winning lottery. Still, I pray that you and no members of your family are beheaded by Fulani. I prey that Fulani behead no one in future, actually. I also prey that after #endsars protestors go home and see what the government does, if the government looks to be sincere in reforming police from top to bottom, I pray that people take to the streets in #endfulanikillings protests. A Wiseman once said, death is no revenge for we all die in the end. |
This tale sounds like one of those White women, 'Big Black Man', stories. White women, ‘big black Man’ stories are almost invariably fables. |
