It's not only gold, Uranium, oil, gas, lithium, coltan and so on that the West, East etc want cheaply or for free but also your soil. I read somewhere that soil in the West is exhausted and is only viable for approximately 10 more cycles whatever that means. So if or when them start wage proxy war in Africa, thire side hussle will be to finish as many of you as possible for the land. I guess wuna carcases go help enrich the soil ![]() |
I don't care about West Africa I'm only concerned about Nigeria. It's this sort of things that used to make me say Africa means Nigeria no good. West Africa is full of crap and Nigeria is going to be dragged into it. Incidentally, were all the soldiers from Mali to Niger not trained by America. Soldiers trained by US always conduct coups in Africa. So this is yet another angle to the monumental mess we're being dragged into by leadership. The other ECOWAS leaders are not opposing Tinubu who is doing Mister Africa, mister Africa. Nigerians are always putting other Africa interest ahead of that of Nigeria. Many of you on Niaraland are no different to Tinubu, you're always elevating other African nations above Nigeria. Or abusing Nigeria and Japparing left, right and centre. Why can't Nigerians put Nigeria first? Africa happed to Nigeria! Ok rant over. |
Nigerians always need to keep minds open and trust nothing without evidence. Niger says, France says, Nigeria says, European Union says...what if it's Niger that released bokoharm terrorist? |
NIGER REPUBLIC: A WORD OF CAUTION TO THE DOGS OF WAR!So good I thought I'd repost. He nearly said it all. |
Even if Tinubu were to make a U-turn on his decision, the involvement of the Wagner Group adds a layer of complexity that makes a peaceful resolution appear nearly miraculous.Quote smacks of wanting a full cake on the table after scuffing half of it. In effect Niger bares no responsibility, whatever happens to them now and in future due to thire banana republic coup d'etat will be Tinabue/Nigeria's fault. The more you look at this the more like an entrapment for pro China Nigeria it seems. It is as if Niger, France and US were in cahoots all along (even Wagner including )however to the contrary this may appear in public and international communities eyes. Perhaps accounts for why, although France and US are heavily present in Niger (with all thire surveillance and intelligence capabilities) the coupe occurred. |
Ikaeniyan0:Number 1 producers in the world, Nigeria was. I read Nigeria actually deliberately cut back cocoa production on discovery of oily so that Ghana and Cote D'ivoirein could have a larger share of the market. Through selective buying and advising of third world nations on what cash crops to grow, the West engineered a situation that resulted in a glut of cocoa on spot market negatively impacting price. Nigeria is a great Nation grossly underappreciated by Africa nations it has helped as well as by her citizens. |
Unrelated but related: this is about us Nigerians and electricity fixation . For years upon years, those abroad that claim they are Nigerians slaughtered Nigeria on social media, called the country and her people every unspeakable and unprintable name imaginable , all premised on Nigeria's temperamental electricity situations. Those of us that challenged thire overwrought bile against Nigeria only received more abuse. These people threatened secession, praised the slaughter of Nigeria men, woman and children by terrorist all because of our difficulty generating 24/7 electricity. They abused Nigeria night and day, elevated every country on earth above Nigeria, encouraged the abuses meted to Nigeria from Bombay to Timbuktu all because of electricity. Therefore it is little wonder that even Tinebu was brainwashed by the efficacy of Electricity and could be forgiven for quickly resorting to severing electricity to Niger Republic. It must come as a sobering shock to him ( pun intended ) that the Niger people are surviving quite alright without electricity thank you very much. something Nigerians cant do without apparently. |
BBC says, "Central African Republic President Touadéra wins referendum with Wagner help". Ref: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-66428935 And all over social media, reflecting the voices of so called people along the width and breadth of francophone Africa, are cheering for Wagner, echoing revolution and the form it will take. Therefore, in thire minds, Wagner leading the rabbles from one nation to another , toppling regimes in whatsoever shape that regime takes. Now, the question: how is Wagner any different from "revolutionaries" CIA used to create that toppled regimes in Africa historically ? Why is WAGNA not same as mercenaries that plagued Africa in the past, earning the West its terrible reputation as destabilisers of Africa, initiators of famine, conflict for resource exploitation and dictators ? So, after decades of self determination experiences gained, all that Francophone Africa has learned is, " let's try Russian backed meddling because, what , American backed meddling is imperialism while Russian backed ones are not ? |
bigiyaro:I'll take your rejection of white people created Nigeria more seriously if you can communicate your rejection to me in talking drums , smoke, spirits or whatever form of messaging your indigenous group created . |
Another thing, some Northern governors need to take a stand on whether they are Nigeriains or Nigerians, they cannot be both. Majority of the world's Nations are an amalgamation of peoples regardless of how the polity arose. For us here, wheather you belong to one of the major ethnic groups or the smallest, we have evolved to commit to one Nation, called Nigeria. We are all capable of forming our own ethnic nation. Besides there are generations now born in the geographic boundary called Nigeria, approximately 200 million of us. These young people are Nigerians regardless of if thire forefathers originated in Sudan or Egypt. Elders should not be arrogantly proclaiming loyalty to Sudan, Niger, Egypt or Biafra on thire behalf. Approximately six generation has arisen in Nigeria since 1970. I chose 1970 because the civil war ended thereabouts... Thank you. |
Thing, is, forgetting the geo and realpolitik stuff, at an earthy, down on the ground level, all the gra-gra and sanctimonious posturing of Niger, Mali, Buckina and so on is because Nigeria will be the nation that ultimately suffer the consequences of thire failure. If Niger is left to the Junta and sanctions imposed by the West leads to starvation or and widespread anarchy, Nigeria will ultimately suffer the consequences in the form of terrorism, refuge influx, beggars and the thieves that hide among them. No matter how negatively the Troll Houses paint Nigeria from abroad, the peoples' of Mali, Burkina and Niger are in far worst place. They are in dire straits. Actually , their majority poor are so piss-poor, they have nothing to loose. Africa happed to Nigeria! |
Some will soon cry, 'leeeeet the poooor breeeeeath!!!!!' Lawlessness excused on the bum of the poooor. All states need to begin grappling with city landscape, it's about time. Clear road side shaks as is being done by Gov Soludo in Anambra. Enforce planing limits like is being done now in Lagos, cleanliness led by Akwa-ibom. This is good for all Nigerians, longterm; although they will be unhappy short-term and the selfish politics type will exploit the situation, crying, let the poooor bweeed! |
Internet + mobile phone + primitive people = disaster ![]() It's like handing loaded machine guns to children. |
Exceed15:Where's your evidence? There seem to be evidence that an ex Nigeria military ruler rifled away perhaps a billion but no evidence for a democratically elected Nigerian leader. However, I'm always willing to learn. Outline your argument with at least refrenceable materials, thanks. Who is the individual that stole a billion? |
Morocco and Jamaica stand good chances of proceeding to the next round. The French women team is not as difficult an opposition as the English to beat. This Jamaica team should match Colombia's at the very least. |
MrsTwrite:Nigeriens most likely but all can be Nigerians or whatever because few to none have identity documentation. You're essentially the nationality you orally claim. This is why I continually preach that Nigeria needs to get to grips with issues of nationality and identity. It is stupid, lazy and an excuse for us to keep fooling ourselves that we are Africans so that we don't have to take nationality and nation building seriously. |
GreyLaw:The combined forces of the nations you mentioned cannot defeat Nigeria in war. The danger for Nigeria is in the aftermath of the war. An example of my meaning is the aftermath of the war between US and Iraq. America defeated the Iraqs in open warfare easily but in the aftermath came ISIS and the terrorism the world contends with till today. Nigeria would quickly flatten their military bases and may attack strategic parts of thire cities in short order. They won't be able to fight Nigeria in open warfare and would be quickly degraded to the state of guerilla warfare where they will become more effective. And, no, I don't think the West will help Nigeria, they will play at double- agents with all sides. The very France Nigeria is rushing to help will assist those that are allied against Nigeria. And they will help Cameroon attack us from the back, leading to the empowering of secessionists forces in both Nigeria and Cameroon muddying the conflict even more until war finally stretches from Mali to Congo as I've always predicted France wants. |
Loyalties of our soldiers especially the northern soldiers, most of them have relatives and historical relationships with Niger, the likelihood of sabotage is going to be high.I need help understanding the quoted above. So, if Northern soldiers have ties with Niger, they will not fight Niger soldiers? What will they do,then, will they stand by the side line while Niger soldiers attack none Northern Nigerian soldiers? Will they take sides with Niger soldiers against Nigeria ? If so does this mean thire loyalties lie more with Niger than Nigeria? If so are they actually Nigeriens not Nigerians? If so, why are they in the Nigerian army? Does the quoted imply Northern Nigerian soldiers are more loyal to Niger than Nigeria, if at a snap they pose more danger to Nigeria than Niger ? Don't these Nigerian soldiers have families in Nigeria? What will they do when fired upon by Niger soldiers? If Niger people have relations in Nigeria as Northern Nigerians have relatives in Niger, why are Niger soldiers keener to fight Nigeriains than supposedly Nigerian soldiers with ties to Niger are to fight Niger according to the |
Osariemen12:That one wey be like barrell ? I was going to say, she resemble mother i'd like to flog rather than mother i'd like to.... but then I realised that is the same thing to some. |
Favorisieren:The negatives outweigh some of your good ideas. Even if the military action part of your plan works out, Nigeria lacks the organisation and economy to sustain the type of presence in Niger you imply. |
One weak argument by some Nigerians in favour of ECOWAS restoring democracy in Niger is that which postulates coupes sweeping across West Africa must be checked less same overtakes the rest of West Africa including Nigeria. Implicit in this argument is the warning and threat ECOWAS will also pose to Nigeria's military by its decisive action restoring Niger's democracy. Why the argument is weak is that the entire West Africa including central Africa can't stop Nigeria military taking over if they decide to mount a coupe. ECOWAS is Nigeria and poses no threat to Nigeria military. The uncharitable argument for why Nigeria's military won't mount a coupe in Nigeria has nothing to do with ECOWAS but to do with the delicate power balance across Nigeria that might tilt towards civil strife should military force itself on citizens. I prefer to believe that Nigeria's military has simply matured and outgrown coupes. |
If you're a progressive and Nationalist like me (Hmm, progressive and nationalist, hope this isn't a contradiction) you're reminded again reading through the posts why Tribalism is is anathema. No one takes responsibility when we adbot the tribal mindset. In a nation where the poor are already absolved of all responsibilites by the irresponsible we have the added dimension of tribal buck-passing. Abstract concepts are responsible for our problems in Nigeria not us - Witches, Igbo, Hossa, Yoruba, Politicians, corruption, Nigeria, |
Jappanese Nigerians are bad for the Commercials buisness. Why should any foreign nation invest millions on PR companies to advertise thire countries as great places to visit when a Nigerian would do this for free. There are no foreign destinations too shitty for Nigerians to travel and eulogies. ![]() Jappanese Nigerians politicking Japparing are for me worst for Nigeria than the worst politicians. |
Dynamicboss:If it so happened that, for some reason, people couldn't leave thire country and Jappa across border to other countries, I bet citizens of these coupe nations would not be as celebratory as they are now with military take over. Easy Jappa is another of several reasons why nations in Africa don't progress as much as they could. |
On the other hand, why is leadership Nigeria ignoring Niger citizens' apparent support for the coupists ? Why are we taking a stand against French West African's anti France hegemony? Ironically, us Nigerians are foremost among the critics of what we saw as French West Africans docility before France's outrageous colonial retainership. Algerian islamists are also chronically anti-France. In what way is France blackmailing us? |
Nigeria leaders and, actually, Nigeria people, always putting Africa ahead of Nigeria. If Nigerian people are not putting Nigeria down and praising Ghana, Rwanda and South Africa , Nigeria leaders are sacrificing Nigeria soldiers lives and the economic well-being of Nigerians to go fight for other African countries. What has Africa ever done for Nigeria except join Europe, Middle East and Asians to mock Nigerians, calling us thieves, scammers and drug pushers. ![]() The other day Ethiopia wouldn't even let Nigeriains fleeing Sudan enter their wack country. |
41 African Countries Sign Military Agreements With RussiaI expect if I bother to research OP's post, embellishments, misdirection, deliberate misinterpretations and outright lies will be the resultant evidence, especially the inclusion of Nigeria. In reality, Nigeria is a none aligned nation that has cordial relations with both Russia and Ukraine. I shouldn't - since people always post misinformation on Nairaland - but I cant help wanting to be amused by how OP might respond to a question that posits why his map indicates South Africa is not included among the African nations supposedly backing Russia against the West when South Africa has been the one most vocal in her support for Russia. |
Unfortunately, Africa happened to Nigeria |
I came to read how Nigeria is worse. Maybe, like, India beat Nigeria 1000 to zero at football. |
