As always, Nigeria's Can-do ways emboldens meek Africa, empowering them to believe that Oyigbo are not gods and that if Nigeria can do it, they too can achieve. When Ashiola took off her top and ran around the field waving it, I could just see Africans in my minds-eyes, biting thire fingers and preparing to think and support what ever Oyigbo press decided to make of that situation. If they roundly criticised her then Africans would join and cuss her even more than Oyigbo press. If they praised her, Africans would claim that they too have had female players doing that. Having stated the above, I fully expect one of the African teams to go beyond the next round but not Nigeria. Things will be made very difficult for Nigeria above the might of the English team. |
Above is the true story. And Africans off different West Africa nationality regularly stowaway on ships from ports in Lagos. Nothing to do with Brazil.
|
This is the true story below: THREE African migrants have been found clinging to the rudder of an oil tanker after surviving 11 gruelling days at sea. The stowaways were rescued by the Spanish coastguard in the Canary Islands yesterday, where they were rushed to hospital suffering with severe dehydration. According to the ship-tracking website Marine Traffic, the men were onboard the oil and chemical tanker Alithini II, which departed from Lagos, Nigeria. The men, believed to be of sub-Saharan origin, were sighted in their precarious position at the port of Las Palmas, on the Spanish isle Gran Canaria. Local media Canarias Ahora reported the men had been seeking a better life in Europe. The photo distributed by Salvamento Maritimo, the maritime safety and rescue society, showed the men exhausted and in desperate need of medical attention. They were found on the rudder blade, which is outside of the hull of the ship and is usually submerged. Salvamento Maritimo authorities said on Twitter it was a lucky voyage, considering the extreme exposure to the sea and wind. Authorities said: "They have been transferred to the port and treated by health services." According to Sky News, it is not the first time migrants have tried to stow away on the rudder of a ship. In October 2020, four people clung to a rudder of an oil tanker from Lagos, hiding for 10 days before Police discovered them on the vessel. The number of migrants crossing from north Africa to the Canary Islands has spiked since 2019.

Grit2943:Lol, See big lies |
Zxcvbnmghtr:Are they Nigerians, what evidence proved them genuinely Nigerians ? |
youngsahito:For useless African countries perhaps, not Nigeria. Nigeria is a solid, serious Nation however much some people want to deny the fact. Nations like Burkina Faso, Gambia, Niger, Chad, Togo, Benin Republic shouldn't be Nations, they have no long term future. Nations like these need to join with other Nations in order to be economically viable or stand a chance. Some important people and large swarths of citizens in the nations mentioned already know this and would like nothing better than to see a fragmentation of all of Africa in order for there to be a redrawing of borders so that they can benefit from being the citizens of new Nations. |
Aren't those people just being racists perhaps, see what they wrote about Darker Senegal. I've not been to Senegal but 'I've heard many good things about Darker.
|
RESHARPENED:So accidents and doctors going on strike doesn't happen in Jappaland ? BTW Heartfelt sympathy and condolence to the family. This must be an enormous and profound loss of a loved one, hope and pride. |
Excuse for the West to covertly disrupt Dangote refinery and generally prevent Nigeria self sufficiency wich Nigeria is accelerating with the help of China, loading. |
Vadese1:The Bokoharam and sundry Terrorisms inflicted on Nigeria should not be underestimated. Bokoharam was essentially helped by the West (France particularly) and Arab powers to destabilise and weaken Nigeria in order to arrive at Where we now are which is a Nigeria too weak and unable to exert influence over French West Africa nations in particular and West Africa generally. This has somewhat now backfired against France or maybe not since there seem a far deeper geopolitical game being played out beyond the original conceptions. For instance, some may wonder why weaken Nigeria if the aim is to retain France colonial control over her not so former former colonies? Related to this question is why, in spite of France and US heavy presence in Niger, this supposedly anti colonial control coup still took place? |
Problem right across the spine of Africa from, Mali to Sudan as I predicted a few years ago when I stated that external forces want war to engulf Africa from Mali to Congo, really as a means of obtaining resources cheaply. As a side note, I also warned those Africans that were fund of mucking Nigerians, calling Nigeria shithole, and wanting us to fall into anarchy. I used to say be careful that the disintegration you whish for Nigeria doesn't first befall your own Nation. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Cx7vYGadno Nigeria needs to stay away, consolidate ( tighten the Nigeria state) and watch. If Nigeria is that desperate to flex, wait, watch, the time will come. |
Nigeria should be using these moments to workout how best to protect Nigeria and Nigerians from the potential inferno heading towards West Africa not contemplating how to jump in like hapless US firemen sent racing towards the Twin Towers when the aircrafts first struck and the buildings were still standing. 1) Start by deporting Burkina folks in Nigeria from Nigeria if possible. Those people loath Nigerians even more than Ghanaians hate us. From this day on mark Bukinas Faso as Enemy of Nigeria. 2) Nigeria need to face the problems of our open borders. I would like to claim I'm the only one concerned about the borders but many others have worded complaints too; everyone except smugglers disguised as business people interested in rice importation from cotonue. 3) The military require new high-tech toys - surveillance equipment's, long range missiles and delivery systems, long range fighter bombers, more satellite in orbit, a miniature aircraft carriers, hundreds of drones from china. Add your own shopping list... 4) Embrace the reality of the hate African nations seem to show towards Nigeria by thire words and actions, Nigeria is huge and varied enough to be self sufficient in anything Africa can offer. 5) Invest in whatever exists in capability of monitoring Social Media. 6) Do whatever is necessary in bolstering the internal and international capabilities of our secret / security services. 7) Invest in the manpower and investigative abilities of police force. 8 ) Consolidate the ownership of our mineral resources and professionalise the eco-system around its extraction, handling, refining, exporting and so on. |
I guess that even if Nigeria does nothing, France will intervene, causing anarchy in our backyard. Therefore, whichever way you cut it, the huge problems some of us anticipated with worry concerning Sahelian terrorism moving down from the Sahara open spaces into West Africa, will still occur by another means thanks to France. Nigeria should not fall for South Africa's covert goading. Let them lead AU into the Niger trap France is plotting. Let Nigeria be economic power house big brother, not the blood sacrificing one. |
Believe America at your own peril. America also gave public support to Nigeria befor our Liberia and Sierra Leone adventures while they privately smuldred. They liked Nigeria placing the bodies of her youth on the line but thire resentment at our swaggering from the process was greater. Out current insecurities in Nigeria has its origins then, from Bokoharam to Ipob, they all benefited from the West's ire at Nigeria. The Arabs and Asians whose diamond enterprises we interrupted joined too. Nigeria should tell Camela Harris or whatever her name is to go talk to Ghana. When talking to the Ghana president, she should discuss how to dismantle the new Niger regime the same way they plotted the dismantling of our Nuclear power ambitions by carting off our uranium, plutonium or whatever ... |
How can anyone that knows anything about Nigeria and Nigeriains insinuate that Nigerians are under any form of restraint on Social Media? This is how ignorant foreigners with clichéd and stereotyped views of Africa sow seeds of discord in African nations, believing that they are liberating them. |
Beverlyjean:Are you kidding? Sorry, but you need some sort of help, if you can sit wherever you are , claiming Nigerians are sanctioned on Social Media. Nigerians, irresponsible, noisy, Yash exposing Nigerians, the freest, spoiled brat Nigerians ?? |
Come O but why this IPOB fighter blocos dey im lap area ?
|
Looking like a fictitious third world country's high-noon area isn't going to encourage foreign investment in Enugu. Lagos needs competition from other Nigeria states in order for the benefits of GDP rise to elevate the lives of the greatest amount of people long term.
|
Suspect33:South Korea is a contender, they have two men on thire side, has Japan any ? |
Stolen cars going to ,"West Africa" usually means Ghana. If headed for Nigeria, Nigeria would be spared no shame under ambiguous titles. |
sunsweet33:You shouldn't have retracted, South Africans and Kenyans are by far more downtrodden than Nigerians. There are no freer people on earth than Nigerians. That which the average man, woman and child can get away with in Nigeria would not be tolerated by the South Africa and Kenya authorities. Being downtrodden in the political sense starts with government wilding authority over the people and being able to oppress them through the powers of the state. Secondly if Nigerians are mistreated it is by omission not by force, since Nigeria is arguably a lawless country. …although you could try the unconvincing philosophical argument that the Nigeria government is mistreating and oppressing the people by leaving them to thire own volition. |
Taigaban:You idiots have started again, wanting to repeat Lagos on a Nigeria scale. If you and your loved ones are in Nigeria, Kama would be when if the type of people that killed and eat the police guy in the East, eat members of your family. God forbid such a thing happening, mind .. |
Hypothetically, when the poor wreck a nation so that it no longer can function, where will they find fuel for thire cars and generators or food to eat next? |
That catchphrase " let the poor breath!" Is way, waaaay more deadly for Nigeria than Biafra instigators, Bokoharam and Delta militants combined. This was why yesterday I called the creators of that slogan immensely Evil people. |
Mass looting and rioting is the least of the harm you can instigate in a country from abroad by making entitled people feel sorry for themselves as " the POOR poor people that need to Breath!" |
Trying all sorts of tricks - including getting Nigerians arguing along tribal lines to deflect Nigeriains from pointing out South Africa is a shithole - will not stop South Africa being a shithole. |
orohbiro:Jamaica and China may prove more dangerous for Nigeria than higher ranked teams. China is technical assured while Jamaica reggae girls are strong and, more importantly ,fired by the emotions of a narrative. Ghana and serval of the Africa teams Nigeria regularly struggle against are fired by the emotions of a narrative. For Ghana, the emotional narrative may be hate for Nigeria that they may feel always steal thire thunder. This equals to beat Nigeria at all cost. For the other Africa teams it is to beat famous Nigeria, taking Nigeria down a peg or two and showing the world that they also count. Jamaica's emotional narrative has to do with putting Caribbean football on the map, Jamaica's national pride in thire spotting abilities, not wanting to be defeated by an African team, shaming the Jamaica footballing authorities whom is widely blamed for treating the Reggae girls as shabbily as Nigeria's FA is said to treat the falcons. Nigeria herself also plays better when driven by an "emotional narrative". Ours is to beat the European or Western teams for belittling Africa. We strive to show the world that Africa is to be reckoned with. For this reason, I'm always less stressed when Nigeria plays Western teams or teams that are said to be above African teams in prowess than I am when Nigeria plays African - or other third world teams - that strive to show us a thing or two. |

Some people are just funny. It amuses me how people are so narrow minded to see the abundant opportunities in Nigeria and utilize them efficiently.
