Instead of shouting oil, Deltans could do worst than demand to see Delta state's Master Plan. Even Servant Plan, Junior Plan, Plain Plan or just Plan! angry which every state ought have even if the state is in an advanced nation since progress is never ending, yet alone in a so-called developing nation like Nigeria.

Mumu people. Something we have been enjoying in Rio de Janeiro since time immemorial.
People enjoyed it in London befor Rio, now people are enjoying it in Lagos befor kigali. It's not how you start, it's how you end.

Sure, brag if you're inclined, when others don't yet have what you have but once they attain same or similar to you, bragging you where first to own it, is hollow.

PoliticsRe: FG To Governors: Collaborate To Develop Regional Railway Infrastructure by Litmus:
innovative ideas and technologies that can revolutionalise our infrastructure and transportation systems.”

Alkali also expressed the federal government’s commitment to connecting all the seaports by rail, as well as connecting the airports and dry ports across the country.

On her part, Chinwe Uwaegbute, executive secretary of NTCF, said the forum aimed to provide a platform for enhanced coordination, share best practices, and collectively work towards the improvement of national transportation infrastructure.

Uwaegbute said the urban transportation system in Nigeria must undergo a transformational shift to meet the yearnings of the public with respect to the movement of goods and services.

“The dismantling of the fuel subsidy regime marks a pivotal moment that demands our attention, reflection, and collaborative exploration of alternatives,” she said.

She said the federal and state governments must see the need to have a paradigm shift towards a sustainable urban transportation system that aligns with global efforts.

This, Uwaegbute said, would significantly combat climate change and improve the quality of the citizenry.
Fantastic. My kind of language. We need a public transport revolution. We need at the very least to integrate all states by rail network. Trams once navigated Lagos, those could return. Authorities could start with a basic straight line that cut from top of the state to the bottom or figure 8.

We shouldn't forget bicycles either . A young nation like Nigeria with infrastructure yet to be established, can afford to create dedicated bicycle roads unlike in Europe where they just draw parallel lines beside car main roads, and pain between them, because infrastructure is already established and the cost of creating dedicated routes for cycling too prohibitive.

Out tiny revaluations should aim to lead the world not copy. We don't need to be technologically advanced in order to creat the best living environment for people .

A storm of investment worth trillions coming - from India ? grin

If India is that wealthy why aren't they investing directly in thire millions of chronic poor ?

Zambia's ties with Chins is so strong currently, they, Zambia, have become a Nation mocked. They are apparently indebted to the point of recolonisation by China. However bet you in the next couple of decades Zambia will arguably be the most developed Nation in Africa if they evolve to work closely with China on a more practical and respectable bases.

India isn't good for Nigeria or blacks generally. They're willful racists in thire apprenticeship to the current white dominated world economic system. To the extent, whites have rewarded Indians by appointing thire people to head of almost all strategic white owned conglomerate from Google, YouTube, Apple, Microsoft, Avis, Adobe, IBM, Visa and much more. No Chinese CO to my knowledge.

In my opinion. Nigerians also have destructive mindset and shortcut mindset. Go to Ojodu berger, they refused to use the pedestrian bridge and Instead the destroyed the steel barricades that prevented people from crossing the road on highway just because of short cut. Is that how developed countries behave?
Yes @ the bolded so they, "Abroad," invented Police ,policing and legal systems. Nigeria's law and order industry is underdeveloped so people in Nigeria are not socialised by fear of the system to conform to acceptable norms .

I've been to 15 states in Nigeria my whole life, and one thing I always notice is, Untarred roads, Lack of drainage system, Lack of proper planning e.t.c

Which always make me curious, Why does everywhere in Nigeria look like it got hit by a nuclear bomb? Why? Why don't we have modern streets and cities!!

Since the inception of Nigeria, I Don't think we have built any city, And please don't even mention Banana island, It's a piece of crap!!

It's sad that only about 3% of Nigeria is actually developed and the other 97% is just straight up piece of trash!!
Nigerians seem to prefer their streets and environment this way, research Nyesom Wike Abuja plans pushback. Nigeria is hostage to the needs of the poor. Nigerians believe that the poor need to breath open gutter and rubbish-tip air .

Opposition Politics practice and expertise in mobilising the masses to concentrate on the so called ills of "Nigeria" is precisely why the masses are suffering. You the so called masses need to concentrate on your various State Governors! You masses are enabling your state leaders to get away with doing relatively nothing. And the main reason for this is the methods adopted by your Opposition Politics. But of course opposition politics of Nigeria is all about the interest of specific people mainly part of an echelon of civil society, terrorist/ islamic groups, separatists groups and groups controlled by foreign powers. They are not interested in your wellbeing only the usefulness of the threat you posses due to your numbers and stupidity.

PoliticsRe: Presidemt Tinubu Departs Nigeria Today For G-20 Summit In India by Litmus:
The relationship that exist between India, Europe -especially UK- and, increasingly America - makes them unfit for Nigeria. And I'm being diplomatic by not expanding on this because I will not be offensive if I can help it. Lets just say India has 1billion people and increasing. This is a lot of people to cater for and India and Indians are responsible for India and themselves. They have adopted coping strategies that is for their interest and may or may not work for them, however immoral I might find that as a person of another race. My practical concern should be about Nigeria/Africa and what the impact of India and other nations and races strategy for survival and flourishing may mean for us. Nigeria needs to invest more in a two way relationship with China.

I guess Dangote is the one influencing government in the India direction.

Fantastic.

One small observation led comment: given our Nigeria people's physical propensities and our National organisational flaws, in terms of maintenance, metal turnstiles might have been better options than those glass or acrylic ones that are in the video already projecting to the casual observer a future of falling apart, neglection, decay and dilapidation .

Majority of Nigerians calling for Revolution are similar to the police shaking and surrounding that gas gun in awe. Revolution and Gas gun sound awesome if you've not a clue what both mean because you're unsophisticated.

The same way police may gingerly carry that gas gun fearfully to the middle of a field and blow it up with dynamite is same way the Nigeria stupid masses will one day destroy that beautiful Nigeria out of ignorance of what goes on in the world, saying they are doing Revolution.

Wike is only doing as Nigerians want, which is be like Obodo oyigbo. And befor you claim that, in Obodo oyigbo, provisions are first made for the poor, not true. And, actually when, for instance, UK was in the early stages of developing, they sanitised the cities by clearing out the poor, the destitute and effectively imprisoned them in Work Houses and Asylums.

Nigeria need to invest heavily in education. Find ways of preventing Nigerians traveling to other West Africa nations for schooling. A man is likely to reason as he is educated and the place he is educated.

Just imagine, you claim you are a Nigerian dissatisfied with developments in Nigeria, which presumably mean you have a better vision for Nigeria. Yet when opportune to air your views by this platform , Niaraland, to audience in the millions, you site fleabitten Ghana, rehabilitating Rwanda and now Coupists in Mali and Gabon as your vision for Nigeria. Nigeria must copy Rawlings, Kigam or is it Kadam of Rwanda, or some other lowbrow African Muppet and coupists. How decrepit and bankrupt are some people's ambitions for Nigeria - yea gods help me!!!

For Christ sake let's be hearing your vision for Nigeria. Let's read your roadmap to a better future. As revolutionists your vision and aim should be to propel Nigeria to a future way in above of any Nation currently around today let alone African nations that are all behind Nigeria. America, Europe, Asia are all flawed in thire societies and not Examples for anyone with half a brain to aspire towards even if you may or will fail to achieve better.

Nigerians need to stop making excuses, using politics to seem more convincing. On the other hand, perhaps the majority don't but opposition politics groups exploit them to paint the childish , simplistic, monotonous, one dimensional, frankly tiering image of Nigeria they create.
