Trust me, this is putting it as mildly as can be. 1.| I tried checking how much exactly it costs Nigeria to produce and deliver the entirety of the BVAS technology. It was passed to law and serious money started being allocated to it. Different sources seem to put the figures differently. But one thing is certain, tens and tens and tens and tens and tens of billions of Nigerian Naira was spent on it. Hundreds according to some sources. Literally! It was ment to combat and eliminate rigging, enhance transparency. Did it work? I am just getting started here. 2.| Buhari last year went on to announce that Nigeria will change its currency design. Hurriedly, they changed colour and hurriedly they put a deadline to the circulation of the old notes. Among many reasons for the change of currency the most popular being "to fight and stop or reduce vote buying, money politics and pump in untraced and unbanked money into the banking system". To also fight the infamous corruption. Did it work? Hold on now! 3.| Buhari has made and released many statements about the elections and that it will be the freest and most transparent, fairest and secured yet. We believed it. Wholly! Stay with me!! 4.| They went on to add more than fifty thousand more Poling Units. That is almost half of the more than 120k PUs already in existence. Still, this is the lowest numbers from an election since 1999, with more than 200m people, double the population since. Not that people didn't turn out enmass to vote, PUs were filled up and voting continued till the next day in many areas. But the numbers from INEC said otherwise, against the record turnout many people said they saw. See here.... https://www.google.com/amp/s/businessday.ng/amp/nigeriadecidesliveupdates/article/nigerias-voter-turnout-falls-to-lowest-ever-as-tinubu-wins/?espv=1 These and many more, yet absolutely nothing, not a single policy or breakthrough of Muhammadu Buhari GCFR worked. Zilch, zero, non!!! See, I tried to fathom and understand what we have experienced and are still experiencing from Buhari and his administration. I still cannot understand or say if it is absolute failure or well thought-out, carefully planned sham. Whatever it is one thing's certain, Buhari and his administration have done us a strong one. Very strong one indeed, and we together with Nigeria as a country have been hoodwinked. Big time!!!

meobizy:You've spent almost an entire year of your five years since registring on Nairaland. A whole year! On average you're the most active I've seen here yet. Come on!! My being active here is cause of the Peter Obi Presidency, which I am happy I did. It did pay off cause for the first time in Nigeria's history we're seeing a Middle Belt and South East political alignment. Look at the voter statistics, even though still rigged. We're also looking at a possibility of a first elected Christian Governor in Kaduna State. And I do have a very busy life too, even on weekends. What about you, what are you proud of being here for? |
Failure2019:You're just too ignorant you think you're open-minded and wise. There can never be no religion, check throughout history, nobody sat in one place and "created" a belief like they want you to think. Religion is the bedrock of a functioning society, all civilizations throughout history thrived thanks to religious beliefs. Politics, governance and leadership is very much tied to religious and or spiritual beliefs. That is why there is absolutely no single society or civilization of man that you can't find particular beliefs and religion associated with them. Go and read to understand outside what you were made to my friend. |
Ceenachi:I am not about to stop anytime soon. One is already peeping, if he says something and you sama him now they be the first to cry. Lol. |
Lol! I've always said it and will repeat it, the most insulted, abused, mocked, threatened tribe or region in Nigeria, especially here on Nairaland are the Igbos or South East, by a long shot. Everybody takes a dig at them, yet no other can handle half of what they receive. Not even close. Funny! Since 2015, even before that, they have been the center of insults and abuses. Compounded by the fact Peter Obi "dared" to come out and seek to be elected as the President of Nigeria. Even as they rigged him out, many have doubled down on the Igbo attacks, making multiple posts and threads just dedicated to insulting them. I made a simple comment here.... https://www.nairaland.com/7597441/it-should-record-yorubas-started Just a personal opinion, no swearing or insults, just an opinion. Now even though the thread was just a feast of insults on the Igbos, some mod saw it fit to remove only my own comment targeted at the Yorubas. Hahaha. Do you need the mods to give you a hand? I thought you're so intelligent and "sophisticated"? If you can't handle the heat what the h*ll are you doing in the kitchen then?

12Monkeys:I just schooled you so well instead of learning from the wise words you decide to cry. Okay, cry me an ocean you tribal jingoist. Hahahahha |
12Monkeys:Hahahahahaahahahahahahahahaha You people are very obsessive and ignorant aren't you?! I am not Igbo, not even close. |
truthhurtsnaira:I love how you put it here really. Some people are really getting the entire point of my write-up at last. The post is not ment to insult or put down anyone but to be honest about my point of views and also directly and bluntly ask questions. Sadly their replies only prove more points than otherwise. They always claim they're "accomodators" and "liberals" yet their actions and even history says otherwise. The Yoruba person only sides and supports someone if he has something to gain personally, it all about self-interest, not the desire for general good. I have seen in my lifetime the Igbos support the Yorubas, support the Fulanis, support the SS even us the Christian North. But I am yet to see the Yorubas, the Fulanis even the SS fully reciprocate. Who's really the tribalists and bigots here then? |
XLence:Perfectly said, thank you! |
I am very interested and very pleased with this post, sadly the hateful lots will come in to intentionally derail and spoil this wonderful project of a post. |
No wonder they're not celebrating the "win". The wicked runs when no one pursues him, this time he is being pursued. |
OmegaAutos:Thank you for pointing that out to me, didn't see it. But if you'll be a little bit as open minded and willing to learn and take corrections as I just did you will see what I mean and adjust your showing bigotry. But you won't, cause you're so "liberal" you never take corrections and input. |
OmegaAutos:You people keep using the word "liberal" yet you're the most tribalistic and bigoted I've ever seen, hence my post here. You talk of Yorubas "splitting" their votes. For one, that's not the topic of discuss, but of course you're so "liberal" you can't understand simple write-up. But let me indulge your large claim. Outside Lagos(which is vastly multilingual) which SW State gave Labour Party large votes? One state in the MB has totalled your bogus claim. These South Easterners you love to hate have supported and would have still supported a Yoruba if he was capable and fit for the job. Yet you present the biggest fraudster and criminal politician in Nigeria today and want them to pick him over a far far more capable and fit Peter Obi?! Oh no my man! This is not the topic of discuss, but you've made me draw this for long cus you people have comprehension issues. |
IGBOSON1:Don't mind them, they think us being quiet is ignorance and submission. The moment that door is opened we all are going out. |
Brimstone77:And that is my question to them right there! Funny they left the post and decided to attack the messager, albeit falsely too. Why aren't they happy and celebrating the "win"? Why don't they even talk about it but adamantly almost exclusively still ponder on Peter Obi, the OBIdients and even attacking a region and tribe, who are the supposed loosers then? Their replies and vituberations here only proves how small minded and hatefully bigoted they are, it blinds them all. Such bitter creatures they all are. |
duro4chang:Wow!!! You're now probably the big liar on this forum aren't you? I should start going through your over 13k lying bs comments just to prove you wrong, again? Today you're from the MB now? So you identify with different regions as you click on different posts right? I wonder how many accounts you have here too? |
duro4chang:I remember you once said you're from the SS, I think Edo or Delta. You MF liar I've caught you red handed now. |
Yamiriflathead:Well, I am from the Middle Belt, so the Yorubas didn't and never gave us anything. Yet we accommodate them over here without asking for anything in return. Except my simple questions here which you can't answer cus you're exactly as I put up in the post. |
duro4chang:Out of the abundance of your complete ignorance and foolery you've just confirmed my write-up. You have dragged the Igbos into these yet again. But I am not an Igbo and I have no Igbo relative in my family. So the joke is on you, my ignorant Yoruba Samurai. |
Taba21:After these elections and the direction of votes from the Middle Belt, dey play. Just dey play!! Eh go do you like film soon. |
Drealman20:My perfect answer is this.... The middle belt is the highest voters of Peter Obi outside the Southeastern. Figure that out yourself. |
Don't know how far they will decide to push this post but here goes. Since Tinubu took hold of the Presidential election victory I have been left disappointed, not just by the loss of the Labour Party's Peter Obi but also for an odd unusual reason, by which it opened my eyes even more to the extreme manipulation and hatefilled bigotry of the South West. See, I remember the promise by a lot of the OBIdients online and off about how they plan to celebrate the victory of Peter Obi when he wins the Presidential election. People around me, even here online like Dbull showed off some wads of cash and said how they would celebrate Obi's eventual win. Peter Obi didn't, Tinubu did. Now since the so-called victory of Tinubu I've noticed that the South Westerners instead of celebrating and making tons of threads, posts, about it and their celebrations, have either reclined back to sulking oblivion or doubled down on their attacks and stalking of Peter Obi, the OBIdients and the Southeastern Igbos, like the win was the other way round. I do not get it!! Even the entirety or a majority of the South West are unbelievably mute and totally silent about the Tinubu win. Don't get me started about the silence from the North, it's deafening here. Image if Peter Obi or even Atiku had won, the OBIdients worldwide or the Atikulators would have had a month's worth of celebrating. some would have died of reckless celebration, just like 2015 and 2011 elections. Why's now so unfathomably different, even among those that claim to want Tinubu's long time ambitious, almost elusive win? Why have they left and forgotten they won and seemingly turned to the opposition and total bickers? Do they really even want and desire a Tinubu win or was it all just some misplaced priority and passing indulgence just to spite a section of the country? Or is the ambition so elusive they still haven't realized they "won"? Or don't they consider it a win for them too? Or don't they even realize their person is victorious? Or is the whole Tinubu brouhaha just a fraud? I would really love they answer my bewilderment! @LocalStandard is a Gwong by tribe, from Southern Kaduna. So come at him as he is, a Middle Beltern!! |
kestolove95:No be your beloved brother form Arewa again? Bigot!! |
If the South East is going we too in the Middle Belt will like to go, maybe even join them. This country don tire person. |
Jonathan Asake for Kaduna State Governor.
|
Magnoliaa:Which side's that? ![]() |
habsydiamond:Thank you for this wonderful reply. |
Oj777:You start out on a marathon walk, along the way, when you're almost there you find out you where rigged to fail. What do you do? Do you fight harder in the last minute or do you turn back and started going back the long distance, wasting all the gains already made? You choose my man, you choose! |
This one's simple! GOVERNORS!! They keep shouting structure, structure! We thought what they ment was enough resources to get to the people, everywhere. But after what we saw in Lagos, Rivers, Kogi and many other States, even the elections outcome, we know what they mean now. They're talking about power and resources to bully, intimidate, manhandled the people and voters. Bending the people's will and choice, forcing their own on us. It's all about self-interest and resources and people to help achieve that. But how do we stop them? How do the people reclaim our mandate? Well by coming out tomorrow and voting that's how. By voting our candidates, Labour Party Candidates, we are taking a big leap further ahead. By building our own structure, our own army, fortress, base, strong holds, etc etc. Yes we're not sure of a free, fair, secured elections. Yes we do not know if the people's will and choice will prevail. But if the righteous and the sane and the enlightened do not go out and take action then the very worst among us will, and we loose out, big time. If you refuse or hesitate to take actions someone else will do it for you, and oh boy will it be the worst! We've started all these with Peter Obi, let us all see it to the end with him. Only then can we say we tried.
