You forget most of Cristiano Ronaldo's goals has come in the last 10 years. Before then he was more of a playmaker than scorer (he scored only 5 goals in 31 games in Sporting senior team). He scored more goals in his last two seasons at Man U than throughout his first five seasons at the competitive stage.

All this while, Messi had been honing his playmaking and scoring ability in La Masia for 5 years since he is was 13.

And even in his debut he scored 1 goal in 9 games. A worse debut than Ronaldo.

Ronaldo matured at Man U. After moving through 3 clubs.

Messi matured at La Masia without moving from another club.

In the last 10 seasons when they both have broken through, CR7 GTM ratio is 0.96 vs LM10's 0.93. This is despite CR7 being older than LM10 and LM10 playing with better midfielders than CR7. I did not include CR7 International GTM stats where he beats LM10 again because LM10 plays a more central role in Argentina than in Barca.

As far as assists is concerned, with Barca's gameplay and LM10's free role, that is to be expected.

Your argument is illogical. National teams don't play that often so, they should have less coherence than a club side. Which means the Spanish team is less coherent than the Barcelona side.
