remmyz: im not too surprised to see some android features being reinvented by apple. the drag down notification...the control center...and counting...There is a reason you will find the same features in even a desktop O/S like Fedora. *light-bulb* |
texaco1: leave them ,they dont know anything.let them try that shitt in new york their brains will be blown off withing 30secsWhat part of New York? Have you been there before? |

teniyi: Anything that intoxicates in large quantity should not be taking in small quantity - Prophet Muhammed (SAW).Huh? ![]() |
norrisman: My argument is not whether they were of legal clubbing/drinking age. A 19 year old in saner climes is usually a fully independent person. If you can join the army at 16, go to war and make decisions to kill without mummy's/daddy's input, why is a problem for a pair of 18 year old girls to go out clubbing? I just cant understand all this ''why did mummy let them go clubbing'' statements. They actually were of legal clubbing age as I pointed out in my edit. This happened in Trinidad and Tobago and the legal drinking age is 18. So they were not doing anything illegal. Personally I think using age as a measure is an issue. Every single human has a different age of mental maturation. Some at 18 are still not really mature while some at 16 are already thinking way ahead of their years. A better measure would be some kind of test (aptitude or maturity test or what ever you will call it). Then when you pass, you are issued a drinking license. ![]() Of course there has been debate on the contradiction in the US laws which allow you to join the army at 16 but does not allow you to drink till 21. |
norrisman: Dont be daftt. In developed countries a 20 year old is an adult and will more than likely be living on his/her own if not attending Uni or college. You can join the Army at 16 for Christ's sake so why would you chat like an slowpoke and ask why parents allow a 19 year old to go clubbing? Was the Nigerian woman that crashed her Mercedes GL where her entire family perished a 19 year old too? Now, you don't be daft. In most "developed" countries, you are not granted entry at clubs if you are not at least 21. These are 18 year old girls. How were they granted entry in the first place? In fact all the people in this article are below 21. EDIT: This happened in Trinidad and Tobago and the minimum drinking age is 18. They were legal. |
Was that casting for Blair Witch Project? I mean, why was Tonto Dike looking like that? |
Kafiya @ 19 had already graduated from University. The 18 year old twins were still in final class of Secondary School. SS3 students dey go club. Convent school for that matter. OK o. |
emmysenior: I've been dreaming of tall storey buildings in a neighbourhood with a serene environment, with cheap subsidized rents to help the low income earners and starters...Iyanapaja (Lagos) part of Ikeja (Lagos) etc as case studies. You cannot have tall story buildings in those 2 areas. Reason? Proximity to the airport. |
yuzedo: Nigga woulda survived 2days under water and kaputted immediately upon rescue if some local ijaw fishermen discovered him first... Education good o!Ha ha...he probably would've been killed on sighting him still alive underwater. The guy go say na merman he kill. |
jaymichael: I do tell them do you know that Enya did that ROBIN HOOD sound track? No, it was not done by Enya. BUT it was done by CLANNAD; a group composed of Enya's siblings and uncles. ![]() |
ayeakamara: P.S: I'm trying to upload photos I took my a blackberry now...How about you try your Nokia? ![]() |
Is that really the house he bought for $700k or a picture of a random house? |
ddippset: i am still pessimistic about neymar/ messi combo. there will be problems! besides i have a strong gut feeling neymar is overrated.Neymar will score a lot of goals off Messi. You can take that to the bank. ![]() |
AjanleKoko: Essentially, he can leave Barcelona quite easily this summer, as already clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester United, and even Man City have shown interest.Thiago will not get any increased playing time at those clubs. Yes, even at Man City he will warm the bench plenty; especially once he commits one of his foolish blunders while being fancy. |
This right here is downright wrong and scary. Glo and MTN need to do better. How can you just have access to people's private information. Well thanks for this comment, I know who to avoid.
Then you will do well to avoid a lot of people. Apart from regular people with friends working in tech departments of Cell Providers, security personnel and in particular the SS can have access. I have not even considered the millions of hackers out there. |
I don't know why some people are here pretending and acting disappointed. First and foremost, I have no business with Sanusi's private life; but certain things are not new. Is it really news that he puts the resources of his office to private use? How did he PUBLICLY donate 100 million to Kano several months ago? So why is it news that he uses a private jet to go rendezvous with his mistress? And is it news that he engages in nepotism? If not for nepotism (or some form of favoritism), how did he become the CBN Governor in the first place? So how is it news that he pulled strings to have his mistress on his workforce? Do we not know what goes on in Government offices? Why are some people acting shocked? Who are you fooling? I have long seen him as nothing but a gallery player; he had long been written off way before the fuel subsidy scandal. And several of his contradictory policies: Cashless drive while trying to introduce higher denomination (5000 Naira note). Once the IMF boss called him the "most intelligent Nigerian" it was a wrap. Hypocrisy? Indeed. What's new? |
cold: Wow!6 pages & still no word from Jarus. This is serious o!He is still calling the oga at the middle. ![]() |
Ess: Sms are not like phone calls that our operators can easily have access to as a switch engineer explained.Funny. You don't even need physical access to the phone; simply get access to the server which forwards the messages. |
Idi Amin: Do Nigerian ladies still turn down marriage proposals at this time of husband scarcity?LMAO |
biolabee: let me ask you a q if it was your sister what will you doHuh? I didn't see this earlier. I go dey discuss my sister's love life? Am I that jobless? Is that what you do? Your sister sits you down to discuss her relationship? Did she also call you when they started having sex too? LMAO. |
biolabee: You don't know me mehnHa! I don't and I don't want to. I speak based on your antecedent on NAIRALAND. Stop backing people up. Stand on your own (stop being a cheerleader male). No more. |
biolabee: On this matter I have to side with the ladies...Ha ha ha ha...side with who? Dude put on your glasses and see that this is not a gender war. Maybe that will explain your consistency in siding with the ladies; I hope your endeavor will yield fruit. But the news is, this is a matter of personal opinion. No need siding with anybody. In this same thread, you will find "ladies" speak for and against. |
Princess zoe: This is the reason why a man without the fear of God is the worst candidate of marriage. A man with fear of God will not condition his wife to be with such demand. Even after many years in marriage and there are no kids, he will still be faithful to his wife, trusting God for deliverance. The bible says that children are heritage from the lord and fruit of the womb is His reward. God will surely reward fruitless couple who faithfully waited for Him.I just had to laugh. |
I know of a woman who gave the husband the condition that they will not have kids till 5 years after their marriage. He agreed. Pressures from family didn't deter them. It's an agreement they had, and it was nobody's business. Same applies here. ![]() |
lovelydoll: i garantee you will not have a wedding. You two will both be worrying about the expenses of your unborn child ,that will you not have enough to have a big wedding. You are probably the most intelligent doll in the world. How you figure these things are beyond me. So once the fiancee is pregnant, they cannot have a big wedding, and they will struggle with money. You have said it all. Your prescience is astounding. FYI though, not everybody is as broke as you. Maybe you can figure that into your calculations. Also, not everybody wants a "big wedding". I wish you luck with your "big wedding". |
mko abiola: Wetin concern u?Best response so far. ![]() |
lovelydoll: you know a women can easily get pregnant by another and pin it on you and you would never know cause you brought the condition, and if she is not getting pregnant by you she will be desperate to be pregnant by another for u.Ha...wetin this one dey yarn? Ever heard of paternity test? |
lovelydoll: and the guy giving the condition is selfish and lazy.Only a doll could figure a guy's laziness from his preference of having his fiancee pregnant before marriage. ![]() |
afinic001: @op, your points are valid but you can't blame the men considering the rate@ which Some ladies take postinor. Who go buy no 'testing'?Valid? The OP is obviously not given to deep thinking and this is a very lame attempt at best; because every single scenario he pointed out is not directly tied to the decision of getting pregnant before marriage. Every one of them can happen after marriage, and with or without a pregnancy. |
flexshop: You people should stop forcing western culture down our throats.very soon, america and europe will implode.the timebomb is tickingMatter of fact, most marriages in the West occur after the bride is heavy with child or even delivered sef! |
