The only people that need to hear that are those who missed the match; so when a coach has a press conference, it is not to tell us what we already know. Athletico Madrid had chances and took them; Real missed their own chances, so Athletico Madrid should get plenty of credit. We don't need to hear how lucky they were. That's speaking like a fan and not a coach/manager.

Oh he praised Barca? What else should he have done? He was well beaten on that one. Though I am sure if we listen to the entire conference he would tell us 1 or 2 reasons why he lost the league.

You see I always end up lecturing Chelsea fans on the history of Mourinho's hatred and inferiority complex for Barca (which he transferred to his followers). They call him "The Translator" obviously pointing out that he was no better than that role. You can imagine how crushing this is to his ego especially when he craved so much to be the coach of Barca. Watch the movie "Iron Man 3"; then you will understand when I say I agree that we do create our demons.

Mourinho's first coaching career as head coach (ignoring his role as assistant to Van Gaal) started with Barcelona Team B and he actually coached the first team on a few occasions; of which Tito Villanova (yes, same Tito while playing for another club and not Barca) was the first man to score against Mourinho in his coaching career.

Also mind you, it was the Robson connection that got him the Porto job (after all he pretty much followed the man's career path till he went to Chelsea).
