ogugua88: Rihanna is psycho. Didn't she hit him first? How many guys has she been with post-Chris Brown? Smh.
That's it right there! It was so bad that the dude even indirectly insulted her along the lines of "I have an ex girlfriend who has been with every guy in the industry"; and then she deleted him from her Twitter contacts.

werepeLeri: Just so you may be seen to have written something. If these so called adverts were bashing GEJ, calling him names and pestering him to resign, you wont have anything to say to it, but because they are captioned differently, you have come to NairaLand to seek support so that the bashing may continue. There is freedom of speech and expression. If some are free to call him names and pester him to resign, some are also free to support him and pester him to go on.

How many of you on NairaLand label those who support him as sycophants? You just did. So, if they call those who rubbish him haters, why are you complaining?
I saw 28 likes for this post. What happened to the remaining 12?

By the way, my power has been off for close to 48 hours now. Is this payback time for all the long hours we had power over the past 2 weeks?

LMAO. Yeah, it's typical for incompetent people to "discover" their workload has overwhelmed them; simply because they are not capable. Just resign and stop doing a shoddy job. Speaking of self-development; imagine the choir preaching to the preacher. My self-development took me to the US to work; and brought me back to 9ja. Where has yours taken you?

Sealeddeal: Tinubu destroyed but Fashola has rebuilt their institution of govt.
This alone has rubbished everything else you said. Fashola's administration is very much a continuation of Tinubu's administration. Fashola has been implementing a whole bunch of policies (and projects) which were actually put in place by Tinubu.

If you are smart, you will know it's easier to destroy than to rebuild.

@IBB Of course you removed the governor that stole 300k. He either didn't give your cut or didn't carry you along at all.

AjanleKoko: A good development, and not new. Even the Arabs are doing this in their country these days; opening more schools, getting more of their nationals employed.
Even if Nigerians do not sabi, companies should be forced to train them. Let the expats go and look for jobs in their own country. Shikena.
Firstly, I can't even believe that there were no labor laws protecting Nigerian citizens in their own country in the first place. Then the one I find a bit strange is the case of some Nigerians speaking against the law. Fvcking unbelievable! Americans and Brits are always crying about "foreigners taking our jobs" even when there are probably only 10 Americans or Brits in the entire world capable of doing the job. And here some Nigerians are actually saying "Hey our people are incompetent...give the jobs to foreigners"? No wonder they are so far ahead of us.

Ironi: So you have perfected highlife? crap.

I doubt whether you even know what highlife is.

No surprise here, the usual big mouth and Nigerian yeye.

Even if the Nigerian is being thought he still maintains he is the teacher, little wonder you can't find solutions to your problems.
"Taught" you mean? You "thought" you have "taught" who what? Can a m0r0n even teach himself? I just told you where the inspiration of High-Life came from: Jazz music; and as far as I'm concerned it's a music form in transition. So you guys never had your own traditional music like Juju and Fuji? What problems do you speak of? I currently have one problem - Ghanaian girls can't have enough of my d!(k in their mouths. So who's got the big mouth - me or them? Speaking of deep-Drinking. Can you help me solve it?
Celebrities › Re: Ghanaian Artistes To Sue Flavour N'abania Over Song Theft by logica(m): 11:54pm On Aug 15, 2012
Ironi: makes no sense if Ghanaians are the originators of highlife.
If you check the quote below, I believe it's in basic English.

It's like how the English invented football and Brazilians perfected it.
Now you tell me; does it make sense that the English look at Brazilian football and try to emulate it; yet they invented football? Use a bit of sense.

Nigeria has Juju music and Ghana has Highlife.
Oh really? No wonder Highlife musicians got a lot of inspiration from Jazz musicians. Anyway, when did the Yoruba ethnic group become Nigeria? Juju is from the Yorubas FYI.
Celebrities › Re: Ghanaian Artistes To Sue Flavour N'abania Over Song Theft by logica(m): 10:51pm On Aug 15, 2012
We all know High-life originated from Ghana, but it got to the point that they were getting direction from Nigerians. It's like how the English invented football and Brazilians perfected it. Currently, you cannot claim ALL Nigerian artistes are copying from Ghana because they've mixed in a lot of Nigerian culture into the sound. You have Fuji, you have Juju, you have Apala all mixed up into it. Do Ghanaians also do Fuji, Juju and Apala talk less of the styles from the East?

Flavor's own case is special; we all know he's not original. But speaking in general terms about Nigerians copying Ghanaians? Una miss road.
Career › Re: FG To Check Hiring Of Expatriates In Place Of Nigerians by logica(m): 8:41pm On Aug 15, 2012
I read through every response and I can clearly see all those against this policy either can't read or are projecting their incompetence on others. Once again FYI, you will hardly find a job a competent Nigerian cannot fill. Nigerians work abroad and are not noted for being less capable than their contemporaries. The fact that you are not capable does not mean there is no Nigerian out there who is more than capable.
Career › Re: FG To Check Hiring Of Expatriates In Place Of Nigerians by logica(m): 8:31pm On Aug 15, 2012
adorebee: Qualified indeed!!.And people keep going abroad even for health purposes.Pray you dont suffer from any chronic illhealth. That is when you would know T̶̲̥̅̊h̶̲̥̅̊e̶̲̥̅̊ true meaning of INCOMPETENCE.
We talk apple this one dey yarn orange. What does this have to do with the problems in the health sector? And was it not the dunces like you who ran down the sector leading to massive brain-drain? I doubt you've been in the US or UK else you will know the number of highly skilled Nigerians abroad in the health sector. Matter of fact any sensible person doesn't need to travel to know this. And many have started coming back to work as guest doctors. I know you are incompetent in whatever you do. This is pretty obvious; but don't project your ailment on others.

Politics › Re: Beaten By Soldiers At Okene For Trying To Video Them by logica(m):
onatisi: ideally military barracks are not suppose to be in civilian arean ,that is why in western countries barracks are located faraway from civilian areas,it is only in nigeria u find a military barrack in the middle of a city.
True; but this has more to do with secrecy and for soldiers to concentrate more on their jobs, than shielding civilians from possibly being attacked (except of course if the soldiers in question have mental problems). VERDICT: N/A

onatisi: secondly ,they are mad dogs that often times bite their own superiors, that is why no matter how bad a military officer is maltreating a civilian if his superior officer gets there all he will say is that he should leave the person.and at times they might even refused to listen to him.just s they did in the case of the man that dies in lagos they insisted on taking the man to their barracks, the officer had no choice, even their superior officers tread with caition when dealing with them, their heads can turn at anytime, that is why they are always kept comfortable in their barracks, they have water and regular light becos if they start to grumble in the barracks that means problems
Discipline is a requirement in any Army. Disobeying a direct order from a superior is a serious offense; and in war-time this might be treated as mutiny and punishable by execution by firing-squad. VERDICT: The "Nigerian Army" cannot be described as an army since it does not enforce discipline in the ranks and needs to be disbanded.

onatisi: thirdly ,the army are not trained to hndle civil matters ,they have been conditioned to look at civilians as inferior and so any slight provocation from a civilian will results in serious beating ,a soldier can take on 6 police men at once, i can go on and on ,pls llet everyone be aware if a solidier kills any civilian NO CASE OO.NA UNKNOWN SOLDIER.PLS STEER CLEAR OF THEM.
A standard soldier is well trained to handle civilians as they do have to interact with them whenever they are conducting an operation both during war situations or non-war situations like rescue operations (disasters or hostage situations). A standard soldier cannot look at civilians as inferior as his task is to serve civilians; especially considering that he is not an alien from outer-space: he has relatives who are civilians (and more likely both his parents are civilians). A standard soldier has a huge case to answer should he kill a civilian. VERDICT: A public execution is highly recommended for soldiers found guilty after a court-martial, of killing a civilian (of course after a dishonorable discharge).

onatisi: lastly they are nice ppl to have as friends, very funny and playful but when their heads turn i beg run and take cover
A standard soldier's profile should not fit that of a psychopathic kid as he has great responsibilities which he is aware of; and which make him sober and focused. Only a f00l will make friends with grown men whose psychological profile fit that of a psychopathic kid. VERDICT: @ss kissing and canoodling with rogues can only get you so far.

adorebee: Ofcourse,Even without being told, you ѠȊ̝̊̅ℓℓ hire and train Americans, because they re your host country but the law can neva forbid from hiring Nigerians too.Likewise here,A̶̲̥̅♏ yet to see a foreign company dat hires 100% foreigners(@ least they need someone who understands our local language for ccommunication purposes if need arises). We re only envious of their managerial positions.Bring what you have to T̶̲̥̅̊h̶̲̥̅̊e̶̲̥̅̊ market, beleive me they ѠȊ̝̊̅ℓℓ employ you.T̶̲̥̅̊h̶̲̥̅̊e̶̲̥̅̊ minister/FG should just sign an agreement with them on the percentage of local hands that must be employed---SIMPLE!!!
Your ignorance is laughable. Yes, indeed by their stringent immigration and labor laws, they would have basically forbidden the hiring of Nigerians (even qualified Nigerians resident in the US apart from GreenCard holders). LOL @ envious of their managerial positions. Abeg, speak for yourself. So there are no Nigerians capable of filling those managerial positions? I'm sure that's what you think; but there are people more capable than you and those around you.

Seun: Who gets to determine who is capable? Why would employers hire expensive expatriates if they truly believe Nigerians are capable?
Dude, ever heard of skills assessment? Determination of the capability of those you can hire is not rocket science. How does the US keep track of unemployed people and their skill-set? How about you also check the procedure for employing H1-B holders in the same US. You have to PUBLICLY advertise the job for 3 months consistently (if I recall correctly) and then when the job cannot be filled, you can go ahead and bring in H1-B. Does that answer your first question?

On your second question, the simple answer is some countries are more interested in keeping their citizens gainfully employed than others. It might be hard for you to figure, but most countries look out for their own people.

Seun: Idiocy. People should be hired based on merit. Millions of Nigerian customers should not be punished to provide jobs for a few employees.
Where did the article say unqualified Nigerians will benefit? I thought it clearly stated that the idea is to consider a capable citizen ahead of expatriates (a general practice worldwide)?

This is not the time for chest pounding on who "captured" where. Or where is the Black Scorpion today? Hurriedly retired over a matter of corruption that doesn't even come close to what the likes of Babangida and Abacha perpetrated. And to think the same Black Scorpion was lucky to have escaped being murdered during the counter coup of '66 (by Buka Suka Dimka if I recall correctly).

It was unfortunate as generally speaking, the hands of Yorubas in the Nigerian Army were forced (they were initially neutral until the perceived attack approaching Yoruba land).

What can be worse that a monkey, if not a brain dead monkey. LMAO. What ethnicity do you think I belong? I know your guess is wrong anyway. Your "notable man" who happens to be a former "soldier" for want of a better term is using population as basis for victory in a war; and you talk about "brain dead"? Do you know what it means for a "soldier" who went high enough in the Nigerian Army as to become the governor of a state so show such crass ignorance? No wonder they always spoke of Babangida as a "genius"; because certainly next to this nincompoop he appears as one.
