sledjama:And what is the "something" you are searching for, like novices we refer to as "users" do? If you don't know what features will increase your productivity, you will of course expect to get a tool that you speak Yoruba to and it automatically writes the code for you while you sit back and sip your mug of akpeteshi. You went from talking about "noise" to Eclipse plugins issues, all which I properly addressed and now it's obvious you are the one with too much noise. You'll do well to just get very quiet. |
You know this thread made me dig into Eclipse's history a bit. I had earlier said that WSAD was based on Eclipse but it seems it might be the other way round or at best they are siblings. Eclipse came from the code-base of VisualAge (wonderful tool). I remember using VisualAge briefly before moving on to its successor - WSAD. But the look-and-feel of Eclipse is closer to WSAD than the VisualAge version I used back in the day. Essentially, Eclipse is from IBM. |
sledjama:Dude, I will even say worse to you were you in front of me. I have no patience for ignorance. sledjama:You see what I'm saying? Ignorant talk. You see, there is something called a release version: there is minor release and major release. A minor release does not change the functionality of the software components and it's mostly fixes therefore dependencies and APIs (through which plugins communicate with the software) remain the same. Major release versions are EXPECTED to break dependencies and APIs as the functionality of the software under the hood has changed. If you have any software release and none of the plugins break as a result of an upgrade, you can be sure it was not a major release. These things are standard, and are things I expect a programmer to be aware of no matter how small his experience is. |
sledjama:. . . but you don't hear noise when you start your computer and on the splash screen you see Windows XP or Windows Vista? You never know wetin dey worry u. ![]() |
If it's a Java host, you can even have a servlet. It simply acts as a proxy similar to what dell_net suggested. All your JDBC code will be in the servlet, and you just expose some commands to the servlet (Command Pattern). And yes, you can also similar use a web-service (but that's overkill). |
OK. U r a Mac freak. I wonder why the code name theme is Felines. Why not after the apple fruit - Orchard, etc? ![]() |
sledjama:Quite ignorant. Code names are part and parcel of software development. You will hardly have a version release of a popular software without it having an associated code name usually used for the software pre-release and sometimes much afterwards: Windows - XP (version 5), Vista (version 6). Well, I don't know of a code name for the simply named Windows 7. Linux Fedora - Cambridge (version 10), Leonidas (version 11), Constantine (version 12), Goddard (version 13), Laughlin (version 14), etc. For Eclipse of course anybody with a fair knowledge of astronomy will quickly catch on to what the naming convention is about. @Candylips Why not vi editor eh? If we wanna go so retro? ![]() |
LOL. NetBeans can NEVER top Eclipse. It's not even close. about 4 years ago I read some political article on NetBeans catching up with Eclipse. I had last used NetBeans in 2001, so after reading the article I decided to try it out. Talk about epic fail. In any case, most inexperienced programmers (note I didn't say developer) love NetBeans, but there is a reason IBM's RAD (Rational Application Developer) is based on Eclipse. Of course RAD is better than Eclipse, but it's not free and it's only for WebSphere development. There is a reason the "official" Google IDE for Android is Eclipse. Interestingly, I started using WSAD (predecessor of RAD) before I realized it was based on Eclipse. And the only reason I expect any seasoned developer to be using NetBeans is for Swing/AWT development, which NetBeans excels at. |
I won't be surprised if he didn't know he was on a suicide mission. They may have told him he was to park the car and walk away, knowing fully well he was to be blown up. |
You are probably using Internet Explorer. If that is the case try Mozilla Firefox or if you want to stick with IE install the official Java Plugin. |
Apparently people don't know that banking as we know it actually started with the Christian knights called the Knight's Templar. Therefore, we could say we already have Christian Banking. |

I've always been of the opinion that actively stealing != profiting from a mistake that someone else made. I see your points. . . but it will take me some time to internalize it. Fortunately this type of thing rarely happens in my life.
Apparently the quote on your profile is, well, nothing but a quote. |
bashdecash:Obo Lagido. What's a f.ucking monkey doing wearing a tie? Indeed what goes around comes around. Watch your back, as it's coming from right behind you up your stinking azz. |
EuroMeko:And still, you don't see the difference between a US Police Department helping ANOTHER department and this? Or maybe I wasn't aware when the FBI became a department of the Nigeria Police Force. |
EuroMeko:And you don't seem to get it! They called the Russians simply because they DESIGNED the missiles. Calling them does not mean the Americans given time will not figure out how to deactivate them, but it's time wasting so better to call those who designed it in the first place. So how does this compare with a Police Station getting bombed and then calling the FBI to come help out? Have they ascertained that the bombs are made in America? Yes, true the FBI has more experience of course, but all the same it highlights how redundant our Police Force is - they can't even safe-guard their own station! I mean, how often have we heard of people running into Police Stations for safety only for the mob to drag them out of the Police Station and killed? |
If there is sincerity of purpose it's not a bad idea. But we all know how insincere they all are. |
sirjec:Dude, use your head. Or maybe you are just so ignorant that it didn't occur to you that the reason Americans could need Russians was SIMPLY because the missiles were designed by the Russians. How then does this analogically fit with bringing the FBI to solve a crime inflicted on our redundant Police Force? |
LMAO. A POLICE FORCE had to go get another POLICE FORCE to help crack the bombing of a POLICE STATION. Ridiculous is an understatement. |
LOL. How can you ever separate Christianity from politics? The real father of modern Christianity (Constantine) was an adept politician who decided to use an obscure religion as a political tool. The rest as they say, is history. |
Who is this annita mo.r.on? Americans still engage in more fraudulent activities than Nigerians. That's standard fact. |
Once again, Ekiti doesnt even hold the highest record for multiple births in Nigeria, so what are you still saying?
So holding the highest record means exactly what? So when you hear something like "Ekiti multiple births are caused by yam", in your mind, it should mean "Ekiti has the highest number of multiple births"? Logic is missing from your thoughts. |
@ logica thesame type of yam selected for pounding in ekiti, is also used for the same in other parts of the southwest. There's no magic or lucky numbers involved.
Yes there is. Ever heard of the type of yam called "Efuru"? I'll bet you haven't. And that's the difference between Ekiti pounded yam and the rest - they hardly realize that a particular type of yam is best for pounding, and will likely use any type they come across. There is skill involved in knowing the actual type that's best before cooking because there appear to be no real visual discriminator. Even most Ekitis will simply cook all the yam and then pick out the efuru from the lot for pounding. But of course, I am not stating that efuru is definitely responsible for multiple births; I am only of the opinion that it should not be discounted. Also, the other area in Osun state with a high rate of multiple births DOES NOT have to be yam related. There could be completely different factors at play here. |
@tpia, I think it pays more when you pay attention and read properly before responding. I said there is a particular type of yam SELECTED for making pounded yam which makes it the type mostly consumed by Ekiti people. LOL @ Water yam. You have no clue. And for the person who says the different types of yam are "white, yellow", it appears you are a fake Ekiti person. No real Ekiti person will categorize yam by color. The categories you will hear are along the lines of "egbodo", etc. Maybe you should ask your grand-mother. |
There is a particular type of yam selected for making pounded yam; as of course it produces the best (stretchy) pounded yam. I can't remember what it's called. There are really different types of yam, and any seasoned Ekiti who knows enough about how pounded yam is made will tell you that much. Though it is produced everywhere, it is the type that is consumed most by Ekiti people. |

Even high-schoolers can perform unauthorized intrusions. |
While performance is important AGE can also be a factor in the pricing of a player. Young players (in the 20 to 26 range) are bound to be a bit more pricey that any other range. |
Sarcasm/cynicism is lost on some people. |
Lots of recent graduates are also jobless. The industry is saturated (you know how Nigerians like to flock into any area where they hear there's money to be made) and many companies are suffering from the economic downturn. |
Paraphrasing someone who doesn't know that having something that makes me different from you DOES NOT define me is a waste of time. I bet you need lessons in logical reasoning. |
Fhemmmy:No, my "manliness" does not define me, but it definitely makes me different from you. It appears you are not so good at reading or smart either. I will disregard the other comment, but I'm sure you realize it applies to you as well. Just replace "manliness" with a "vagina". |
