Beginning of the end of Nigeria
Nah, the beginning of the end of your people. smiley
Politics › Re: Pictures Of UN Office Bomb Blast In Abuja by logica(m): 2:43pm On Aug 26, 2011
Bombing of UN office => Al Qaida. Boko Haram had limited their targets to strictly Nigerian. Stepping into the global turf only means it's Al Qaida (but of course probably with Boko Haram connivance). The prognosis is not looking good for Boko Haram after this.
Culture › Re: Ever Witnessed A Witch Confessing? by logica(m): 9:41pm On Aug 25, 2011
I just watched a case of murder on Crime Channel where the husband confessed to killing his wife to the Police. He was released because there was no evidence linking him to the crime and his story didn't add up. The actual killer was caught much later. The husband STILL confessed in court but the DA convinced the court he was not the killer. The man was not insane, but for some reason believed he killed his wife. What would have happened to him if he was in Nigeria? smiley

You mean the "confessions" of a senile schizophrenic wracked by guilt for crimes she never committed?

If you really want to know, watch more of Discovery, History and Geographic channels rather than Africa Magic, BET and MTV.
Crime › Re: Cop Commits Suicide In Lagos by logica(m): 9:06am On Aug 24, 2011
it is well:
I won't be surprised if it is later discovered that this man did not commit suicide. This type of suicide would have better with pistol rather than AK 47. Well, it is well
My exact thought. But it would probably never be discovered. Our cases in Nigeria are always "Open and Shut". Things are always as they seem. No investigation.

. . . because they already looked alike before they got married and you only started seeing those similarities after years of observation.
Business › Re: Nigeria Ranks High Amongst Most Innovative In The World! by logica(m): 1:44am On Aug 24, 2011
They really should've asked the Nigerians they surveyed to write a 1000 word description of the business ideas. Dem for laugh tire. I'm sure not up to 1% have workable business ideas. And those with workable ideas usually do not have unique/original ideas; they are probably thinking of the same simplistic ideas such as phone card business or selling kokoro. Most are just building castles in the air.

I think it's time we all have 2 insure our family against kidnappers so dat whenever anyone becomes a victim d insurance company will ve 2 foot d bill.
Good idea. But if you know about insurance fraud, you'll see why it's also a bad idea (from the Insurance companies' point of view).

Sun of god:
It seems your stinginess is the reason the old man is still working.

When you should have been seeing that he could retire once you hit the big time.
So that's what a son is to you right? A meal ticket. Lazy fool. If Nigeria had a Police Force, fools like you will be tracked through your comments on this thread.

what happened in china was that they gave up and allowed private enterprise (anathema to communism). whats happening in scandinavia is that they practise a capitalist system with a mix of welfarism thrown in ( high taxation (up to 50% in sweden) with government owned common services)).
Before we go further, do you know the difference and relationship between Socialism and Communism?
Politics › Re: Communism In Nigeria: Why Not? by logica(m): 1:53pm On Aug 17, 2011

The unanswered question: if communism is so good, why hasnt it worked elsewhere/anywhere?
And what do you think happened in China? What do you think is going on in Scandinavian countries? Did you even read previous posts? It seems people are not aware that what goes on in Scandinavia with all of the welfare benefits are Communist/Socialists ideals. This even applies to the UK. Don't believe the hype.

The fact is, Communism failed in the USSR because the government was particularly vicious against its own people, and they also got drawn into a competition with the USA leading to unnecessary spending on weapons and other "Super Power" toys. Massive waste.

And going by logic, I suppose Communism promotes unity, democracy, freedom of beliefs, and peace ?
And how does Capitalism promote those? You cannot blame the implementation on the actual ideology itself.
Politics › Re: Communism In Nigeria: Why Not? by logica(m): 6:30pm On Aug 16, 2011
Fascism promotes violence and war as actions that create national regeneration, spirit and vitality.[7] It views conflict as a fact of life that is responsible for all human progress.[8] It exalts militarism as providing positive transformation in society, in providing spiritual renovation, education, instilling of a will to dominate in people's character, and creating national comradeship through military service.[9] Fascists commonly utilize paramilitary organizations for violent attacks on opponents, or to overthrow a political system.

How is this similar to Communism?

shotster50:
Typical marxist chant. Whats new?
Actually a bit more than that. Indeed your ignorance is not new, since you cannot tell the difference between Communism and Fascism. Communism, Fascism, Anarchism, Socialism. . .do you even know the difference?

Have so many so called "Communist" states been evil? No doubt. But they have not been any more evil than the bastions of "Capitalism" like the United States; they have only invested less in a propaganda machine (which is still reverberating and mouthed by the likes of you long after the Cold War).

No thats communism all right.
LOL. No, that's ignorance. UK and US propaganda have taught you well.

What class of criminals will this law protect? I don't think illegal immigrants are in the same class as armed robbers or serial killers, or are they?

We would be more fortunate if that were the case. No Kleptocracy is a much better descriptor.
You are mixing up government ideology with economic ideology. Kleptocracy is the is the former Anarchism is the latter (we are discussing the latter here).

Was the Catholic Church not a major participant in ODESSA, which helped shelter and transport a lot of Nazi war criminals to Argentina?

Our system is best described as Anarchism.
Politics › Re: Suspected Criminals Can Avoid Arrest By Running Into Churches? by logica(m): 10:01pm On Aug 15, 2011
strangest:
Such thing happened in the olden days but it wasnt the church, more like shrines like Okija,   running into them to take refuge automatically makes you part of it,
Actually it also applied to the Temple of Artemis. Cleopatra's sister (Arsinoe IV) was banished there for her safety due to the political situation in Egypt, but she was eventually dragged out and murdered. That was not for criminals, but for political refugees or asylum seekers so to say.
Politics › Re: Suspected Criminals Can Avoid Arrest By Running Into Churches? by logica(m): 9:18pm On Aug 15, 2011
So criminals are the citizens of Heaven. Makes sense.

Wetin concern capitalism with empathy? The point is to make money, not to be a charity.
I'm mostly trying to debunk this idea of everyone being "equal.
There is really nothing to debunk when you don't even understand what you are "debunking".
