Really, all my years as a programmer, I've been dealing with GUI stuffs. Pls answer this:
for example on nairaland, is this how users are created? eg
CREATE USER 'logicalhumour'@'nairaland.com' IDENTIFIED BY 'omega123ova';


Before something like
GRANT SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE ON nairaland_db.user_db TO 'logicalhumour'@'nairaland.com';


Is this how it's done?.

The reason why i said that Nigerian programmers are dumb is that even the social networks or forums like this one, where not even coded by them, they only downloaded open source PHP projects, slapped their names on it and "eureka" a new web 2.0 application is born. Yes make sure you install windows builder and MySQL on eclipse for the purpose of database .
Eclipse is good you just need to configure it.

Go to help new software and put the path of MySQL and Windows builder . There are many videos on how to do that on eclipse.

We have installer software like install creator to install you software on different PC.

There are many online just google it. All the software on your PC like chrome was install using an installer not the exe extension.

When netbean automatically generate the jar file u will put it in install creator .i recommend you watch Tutorial on how to do that on YouTube.

Netbean will create the exe file for you. Look at the bottom you will see the directory . You can also use any install creator. Make sure jdk is install correctly.

If I download netbeans and use, will it work on another system if transferred?

Secondly, if I transfer the app to another PC which doesn't have jdk installed, would it run? (or how can I convert java code to a native code )

What I mean is, I, for example, create a nice GUI stuff, how can I then have it as a desktop app which can be executed directly.

Why don't you try USB tethering. Guess you are using an android device, right?

My phone always shows tethered, but system doesn't access the internet

wat do u really wat to Kw....? do u want to use ur phone as hotspot to ur system? if so create a hotspot connection & lunch it then open ur wireless or WAN network to detect d network from ur phone then connect n browse...

But my pc (windows XP ) has no WLAN

I've tried almost all setting I find from Google just to configure my stupid Windows XP (tho I wouldn't upgrade sha ), and iam tired. Is there any software I can just download?... like a driver or suite that would work automatically?.
I have Techno P3 and M3 (Airtel, MTN ) respectively, please help me with a link. And please, if there's any other way you're sure would work...

You don't need to 'install MySQL' again as it its already part of the XAMPP stack just like @DanielTheGeek mentioned above. You however, need to start the service to get it rolling Note however, that you can only use this on your laptop and not for production environment if you nor want gbege

I don't have either of the the apps but can I just install xampp without mysql server and still run mysql?

i dont see why there should be a problem comnecting python with sqlite, although i havnt tried it in python 3, im sure of 2.7. however, you cannot just ask to be helped without showing the code you have actually tried, while we go through it and tell you your errors .
however, the normal syntax should be

#!/usr/bin/python
import sqlite3
conn = sqlite3.connect('test.db')

Umm.. I think I have thesame problem with OP. now with test.db how do you store maybe a name and password there?
