There is a feedback section somewhere on a site which deals with complaints. I cannot remember the URL but I think the URL can be seen in the ban message you see at the top, when logged in from the banned account.

I cant remember seeing any url in the ban message when i was banned.

One common mistake that is used in random hacking via google advanced search (Also coded: Google master hacking) is to use non-php extensions for included files which at times may contain mysql connection parameters.

Such as putting a file like "db_conn.inc" or "config.php.inc" in an accessible folder. If u understand google hacking, u'll be suprised at how many website's sql username and password you can see for free because of this security flaw.

Also, if u are downloading an open source script or extension, be sure of the security before u implement. i've read through so many open source scripts that use ".inc" as extension for important files and put them where they can be reached.

in php, $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'] or get_browser() can help you identify the browser type and you can use php header redirect to send the user to the user to the correct page i.e pc or mobile.

When it comes to open source, u guys need to speak for yourselves alone and stop generalizing.

I have contributed to open source significantly on my site and on some repositories. If u think Nigerians dont do opensource, then u are yet to meet with seasoned Nigerian programmers (Gurus) because i know a couple of coders that do open source from here.

Note: Its not until u develop your own script that u have contributed to open source, you can contribute to another person's script. The version 2 of one of my open source scripts was developed by someone i didn't even know the name of his country and he informed me of the improvement and sent it to me.

You can contribute to open-source in so many ways, don't wait till you write one big program and make it free.

If u are not using a framework, i would advice you to create a database connection/query class where input validation is done before sending to mysql.
Explanation: Procedurally connecting to mysql on every page and validating on that page might cause you tons of trouble if u dont validate properly on one page.

Also, using a class makes it easier to improve on ur (backend)validation if there is need to, because u wont av to start doing that on every single page.

U might also wanna set your error level because u definitely don't want ur visitors seeing ur php/mysql errors. That'll be an open invitation to a hack party.

Its not as though there's a source code like u think. Those who resell get it from those who have the gateway or SMSC infrastructure.

This adsense thingy doesn't seem to work for me o.

I have 150-300 visitors on my site daily, some open-source scripts/applications, some commercial programs and yet i earn less than 1 euro per day from adsense for over a month that i've set it up.
Can someone tell me what is wrong? Does it mean that aside from my products, no extra income from adsense? Or do i just drop the adsense thingy so that i stop expecting anything cool from goggles Google?

Don't post it o. Don't opensource it. A lot of businesses might suffer. If u need the contact of some of their technical persons, mail me. I'll give u their direct contact details and believe me, they will respond.

I have not arrived, i have not learnt it all. What i am trying to say is that success is not a destination, it is the quality of your journey. U shouldn't wait till "the end" before you check how you are doing. You can check at every step on the way whether u are on the right track and where u r headed.

I am still a student of programming but that does not mean i won't use what i've learnt until i "completely know PHP".

I already had 3 Joomla modules listed at J.E.D before this one.

Skills are different from skills o.

Are you telling me you can spend 6 years to learn football on paper and not go out to the field once? Then u are not planning to become a professional footballer because u won't even know the weight of a boot. Maybe you are planning to become a sports writer and you should go and learn writing.

Same goes for a programmer. I expect that u will be aware that no programming language is static for 9 years without going obsolete. If it does not keep evolving, it will go extinct. So how will you start practicing when a newer version is always released before you finish learning.

Imagine that the guy started learning VB in 2004, by now, VS 2008 and even VS 2010 has been released and Most of what he learnt in VB is no more in use. He has to start his self paced 9 years training again with VB.NET. That's the way he will continue till he dies at his old age without any record of being a programmer.

Hobbyist who potentially hopes to become professional must practice and evaluate himself. Being a pro is not beans.
