She is 100% right though. I do the same thing of making it seem cute when a father is with his child. It's actually wrong to act as if they are doing something extraordinary because they aren't if we look at it closely.

It's just that so many men are just not stepping up to their responsibility to their children.

It makes the most basic things seem so magical. It's sad really.

Many,if not most Nigerians are exhibiting Stockholm Syndrome which makes them loyal to those that have mistreated them habitually and are pretty much guaranteed to repeat it.

Stockholm syndrome is a condition that causes hostages to develop a psychological alliance with their captors as a survival strategy during captivity

Is that really true though? Surely an angel is always better than a devil.

If you chose the devil again know that when you experience what a devil does you should not complain. In fact you speak like an abused captive person who is tied to their abuser even after they are free to go. It's actually a syndrome

The only reason why you don't like him is bcus he is about to jail all looting machine.

Really? He has not jailed them for the years he has been President. In fact they are in his party now.

He will do nothing.
PDP and APC are the same and should both be sent packing. They have raped Nigeria enough.

I have said it d north is d problem of NIGERIA, imagine ignorant gworo ppl chanting for a failure buhari... God pls deliver us from BUHARI come 2019 in Jesus name... i shake my head for the north...... $1 now 369 naira person cannot even fund forex account to trade. i miss d days of$1 to180 naira. most ppl here ranting APC buhari 2023.... dont understand dt this administration has given alot of ppl set backs, companies folding up and downsizing, business struggling to stay afloat, salaries been owed, PPL hungry, people dieing daily. It never ceases to amaze me how ppl are clamouring for someone who put dem in hunger.. suffering n hardship. well d destiny of NIGERIA is not in the hand of any political party its in Gods hands, so he raises one up and pull down another. God over Nigeria let ur will prevail. I am so ashamed at some Christians can not discern times n seasons. GOD SAVE NIGERIA... give us a David a man after ur heart CHRISTIAN OR MUSLIM.

God is not the one obtaining a PVC and casting a vote.....that would be YOU and the millions of other eligible voters.

The failure of Nigerians to take responsibility for the future of Nigeria is one of the major reasons Nigeria has gone backwards.
Nigerians claim to want better but lack the guts to actually ensure better happens.

Take...it...back.

With the advice given to come prepared you just ignored it. If and when you get to Ghana and you find it difficult or frustrating please don't come her to complain because you were given ample advice and warning to prepare and come with skills and money.

It sounds like you are going to Ghana with none of those things.

She looks lovely. Classy, stylish intelligent and pretty.

Nigerian men as always are insecure around a pretty young girl taking a picture without a man present with the audacity of looking happy.

If she is single they say ' go and marry' if she is married they say ' go and give birth'.

Nigerian women can never win when it comes to some Nigerian men.

She's actually mostly right about the origin but it originated from one man. The song legbebe tells the story actually.

The song is about a man that was a notorious phone thief. That's why it says iPhone 1 iPhone 2 etc up to 8. He was arrested on the eighth one and was taken by police after being put in handcuffs.

The story is the origin of shaku shaku dance.

The dance has been turned into something better though.

Don't mind d mofos...as if China just came into existence...only if they had used half of d money they stole and shipped abroad to build some of these things...i wonder where we will be by now as a country.

To think that PDP in its 16 year rule invested N2.74trn in our Power Sector and we are still living in perpetual darkness is mind blowing and ludicrous.

Yet they want to come back.

How many people in APC simply cross carpeted from PDP though? I think neither PDP or APC should be voted in again. Nigeria needs to be on tremendous growth trajectory in a sustained way for the next 20 years and I really don't think any of the parties really see the potential to totally transform every corner of Nigeria.

Just imagine how many projects we will be celebrating now if not 4 President Buhari's health issues in his early days in office and d saboteuric Saraki.

Also if he would have chosen his ministers earlier. It's not as if he physically worked on construction himself it is still CCECC doing the work. The first six months of inactivity especially in choosing ministers actually caused hesitation in the Nigerian system.

Good this railway is done, they can now move on to the other phases no matter who is president.

PDP should go and commission it then! Anuofia. This project belongs to APC, APC will take all the glory and Buhari will commission it. PDP will be absent on that day, so keep your mouth shut.

You have refuted the facts of what I wrote though? Even Buhari openly said he is continuing the project from the last government. Nobody will keep their mouth shut and if you can't be intelligent and show manners in your posts then don't even address me.

The project is done that's what counts and maybe you will admit that when you can see beyond your schoolboy mentality.

It is called continuity.

Yes, it's good it was completed now. There would be absolutely no point in abandoning past projects and Buhari did say clearly that he would be continuing the good projects that started in the administration before his. In fact the culture of abandoning perfectly good projects has been the bain of steady infrastructure development in years past.

These are PDP projects.

Only a fool would believe that Buhari govt would plan, build and complete these projects in 2 and 1/2 years. Buhari appointed cabinet members after six months of his govt

Construction began before Bihari was even president. Construction began in 2014 Bihari became president after that. Same with the railways, construction started before Bihari was president.

5 years to get your green card, another five years to get your feet on the ground and go back to school if the interest haven't completely died off. Then another five years to start saving. Now you see what I am talking about? I know many people who have stayed there over 20yrs with nothing to show for. Living in present day America is very expensive and you are left with little or nothing to invest back in Nigeria unless you are a very smart person

People get to America coming from a variety of situations some get to the US on the green card lottery. Some through marriage and some through student visas that allow part time work . You can start saving when you start earning and that's what people do depending on their situation.

It's false to suggest that you have to start saving after your first ten years of being in the US. I think when you saw that by your calculations gets you to 90k you are trying to move the goal posts by trying to reduce the once 15 years to save down to 5 years to save.

If some people have stayed for 20 years with 'nothing to show for it' ( whatever that means) others have something to show for it. They are not rare in fact.

It is mostly on faceless nairaland this cowards show themselves. This ones are timid around girls in real life. It is however influencing the way the younger ones coming up view women. They kill our women without even blinking more often this days because they are being unconsciously mentally conditioned to view them in a negative way as less second class humans and worthless no matter how intelligent or hardworking. This specific set of jobless monikers which regularly are on front page attacking Nigerian women forget they will have daughters some day (some are gay men though but still).

The issue now is Seun and his mods do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it. It is almost if they enjoy it and think it brings more traffic because of the high number of likes this comments castigating bashing and bullying our women bring. In my small capacity I try to take them on on this forum by my sarcastic and rebuttal post to see the folly of their ways but I keep getting banned by the mods. Any way this is my free year, and I won't stop till I go back to being busy again.

Preach.

It is quite difficult to ignore how bitter some people are

I'm just fed up with some Nigerian men and their mentality. I'm glad you can't ignore my words in fact read them again.

I am profoundly ashamed of some of them sometimes. I just can't respect some types my friend.

They are the primary reason Nigeria is a mess and rather than to have some shame far too many open their mouths so wide to abuse Nigerian women at every opportunity.

The same women they have let down so badly.

I feel pity for Nigerian women that have to tolerate how some of them relate to them on a daily basis both on and offline.

THEY DO NOT DESERVE IT.

Earning $1,306 weekly is just a bit over $62,000 annually, when taxed you are left with less than $45,000 to spend for the whole year. That is not money, Nigerian living in America knows it is the truth. At most you should be able to save just $6,000 in a year from that.

That's just on that job though. Your savings will depend on what your bills are. Are these people in two person households where their spouse is also working? Even on your calculations over 15 years ( as you stated) isn't that 90k in savings? There are Nigerians that earn over 62k a year though.

There will be some dishonest ones but it's not impossible to save 100k over 15 years in the USA.

Does it matter? The whole is global now and the reality can be felt all over. Explain to us how is it possible to save over $100,000 in 15 years..Mister statistics shocked

It depends on what they do. If they went into nursing the average salary of an RN is 1,306 per week. Many people in the USA have more than one job too. It is very possible to do in the US over 15 years to save over 100k.

She won the Miss Black USA Pageant in 2010 and founded The Joyful Joy Foundation, raising funds and awareness towards the fight against Malaria.[3][4] Additionally, she co-hosted the 2014 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. She played the role of Adanna (Danni) on the soap opera Tinsel, and won Best TV Actress of the Year at the 2014 ELOY Awards. - Wikipedia

See above what has to be added to prevent the onslaught of verbal abuse and character assassination of Nigerian women by Nigerian men.

I'm really beginning to hate some Nigerian mentalities with a passion.
