Family / Re: "Stop Congratulating Men For Taking Care Of Their Children " - Lady Argues by londoner: 7:38pm On Aug 12, 2018 |
She is 100% right though. I do the same thing of making it seem cute when a father is with his child. It's actually wrong to act as if they are doing something extraordinary because they aren't if we look at it closely. It's just that so many men are just not stepping up to their responsibility to their children. It makes the most basic things seem so magical. It's sad really. 1 Like |

Many,if not most Nigerians are exhibiting Stockholm Syndrome which makes them loyal to those that have mistreated them habitually and are pretty much guaranteed to repeat it. Stockholm syndrome is a condition that causes hostages to develop a psychological alliance with their captors as a survival strategy during captivity 1 Like |

budusky05: Is that really true though? Surely an angel is always better than a devil. If you chose the devil again know that when you experience what a devil does you should not complain. In fact you speak like an abused captive person who is tied to their abuser even after they are free to go. It's actually a syndrome 1 Like |

kepstone: God is not the one obtaining a PVC and casting a vote.....that would be YOU and the millions of other eligible voters. The failure of Nigerians to take responsibility for the future of Nigeria is one of the major reasons Nigeria has gone backwards. Nigerians claim to want better but lack the guts to actually ensure better happens. Take...it...back. 2 Likes |

Shinner2010: With the advice given to come prepared you just ignored it. If and when you get to Ghana and you find it difficult or frustrating please don't come her to complain because you were given ample advice and warning to prepare and come with skills and money. It sounds like you are going to Ghana with none of those things. 6 Likes |

She looks lovely. Classy, stylish intelligent and pretty. Nigerian men as always are insecure around a pretty young girl taking a picture without a man present with the audacity of looking happy. If she is single they say ' go and marry' if she is married they say ' go and give birth'. Nigerian women can never win when it comes to some Nigerian men. 1 Like |

She's actually mostly right about the origin but it originated from one man. The song legbebe tells the story actually. The song is about a man that was a notorious phone thief. That's why it says iPhone 1 iPhone 2 etc up to 8. He was arrested on the eighth one and was taken by police after being put in handcuffs. The story is the origin of shaku shaku dance. The dance has been turned into something better though. 1 Like |

blazer2018: How many people in APC simply cross carpeted from PDP though? I think neither PDP or APC should be voted in again. Nigeria needs to be on tremendous growth trajectory in a sustained way for the next 20 years and I really don't think any of the parties really see the potential to totally transform every corner of Nigeria. 1 Like |

blazer2018: Also if he would have chosen his ministers earlier. It's not as if he physically worked on construction himself it is still CCECC doing the work. The first six months of inactivity especially in choosing ministers actually caused hesitation in the Nigerian system. Good this railway is done, they can now move on to the other phases no matter who is president. 1 Like |

Enice: You have refuted the facts of what I wrote though? Even Buhari openly said he is continuing the project from the last government. Nobody will keep their mouth shut and if you can't be intelligent and show manners in your posts then don't even address me. The project is done that's what counts and maybe you will admit that when you can see beyond your schoolboy mentality. It is called continuity. 2 Likes |

Seetto: Yes, it's good it was completed now. There would be absolutely no point in abandoning past projects and Buhari did say clearly that he would be continuing the good projects that started in the administration before his. In fact the culture of abandoning perfectly good projects has been the bain of steady infrastructure development in years past. 1 Like |

useni1: People get to America coming from a variety of situations some get to the US on the green card lottery. Some through marriage and some through student visas that allow part time work . You can start saving when you start earning and that's what people do depending on their situation. It's false to suggest that you have to start saving after your first ten years of being in the US. I think when you saw that by your calculations gets you to 90k you are trying to move the goal posts by trying to reduce the once 15 years to save down to 5 years to save. If some people have stayed for 20 years with 'nothing to show for it' ( whatever that means) others have something to show for it. They are not rare in fact. 10 Likes |

Jaynom: I'm just fed up with some Nigerian men and their mentality. I'm glad you can't ignore my words in fact read them again. I am profoundly ashamed of some of them sometimes. I just can't respect some types my friend. They are the primary reason Nigeria is a mess and rather than to have some shame far too many open their mouths so wide to abuse Nigerian women at every opportunity. The same women they have let down so badly. I feel pity for Nigerian women that have to tolerate how some of them relate to them on a daily basis both on and offline. THEY DO NOT DESERVE IT. 3 Likes 1 Share |

useni1: That's just on that job though. Your savings will depend on what your bills are. Are these people in two person households where their spouse is also working? Even on your calculations over 15 years ( as you stated) isn't that 90k in savings? There are Nigerians that earn over 62k a year though. There will be some dishonest ones but it's not impossible to save 100k over 15 years in the USA. 9 Likes |
