This man has spoken well.
However, I'd like to add that there is no on-going war against corruption.

What we see daily are media trials of perceived political enemies.

The past administration engaged in some sleaze and corrupt practices, but they are gone now, and gone for good.

However, no one seems to be beaming a search light on the current administration, which might as well be perpetuating the same act we stoned the past admin for...using more sophisticated and water-tight schemes this time.

The feelers here is that as long as you're in the right camp, say and do the "right" things, you will not be hounded by the EFCC, otherwise, you're on your own.

This in itself is not a wholesome development.
My thoughts exactly.

Please take time to read the State Broadcast by El Rufai, the Gov of Kaduna State. This group operate their own nation within a nation and do not subscribe to the Nigerian constitution. They disobey laws; beat; kidnap female youth corpers for wearing NYSC trouser. Strip them naked on the streets; take land that does not belong to them, build mosques without approval, block highways always and are just a law unto themselves. The video that showed the army officers pleading with them will give u an insight into their lawlessness
And you believe the best answer from the authorities is to massacre 1000 of them in the comfort of their homes? You are a monster if your answer is affirmative.

The authorities just displayed their callousness in that address. I concede that some misguided shiites have been lawless in many occasions over the years.

That is why we have a police force. The offending elements should be arrested and tried than for many innocent people who just happen to share the same beliefs be summarily executed by blood-thirsty demons in military uniform.

If we have gotten to the day where people can be murdered because someone in their religious group committed a crime, then I do not want to be called a Nigerian.

Oga, if the military had killed only those that denied the COAS passage, we would not have as much condemnation as we have now.

The military after killing those that denied passage then went to the heart of Zaria to kill up to one thousand shiites in their homes and razed their houses.

Is that not excessive?

I'm waiting for someone to blame GEJ!

In other news, the Persians historically don't bluff especially against weak opponents like Nigeria.

They would not come with jets and foot soldiers like many uninformed Nigerians think. Instead, they will aim to sabotage the government.

Already, they have hacked two Nigerian government websites, which is an act of cyber warfare. So they are not kidding.

There are many ways that Iran can play this game without landing a foot soldier or sending a drone even. Cyber warfare, sabotaging infrastructure (power lines...), sabotaging current military operations against BH so there can be more loss of life and property...

When we say PMB is a dullard, some think we do not know what we are saying.

As long that there are monarchies and despotic govts across the Arab world then Israel will remain safe.

Why? Because kings and despots will never agree to a pan Arabic state.

A divided Arab world at war with itself is no threat to Israel.

This is what Gaddafi wanted but you don't expect the House of Saud to give way to Gaddafi and vice versa.

Ironically, ISIS is anti monarchial and also against secular govts. ISIS wants the same model in Iran replicated across the Arab world under their banner but their hatred for Shiites is greater so that is why they are taking the time off from expanding their caliphate to genocide the Shiites, Kurds and Yazidis.

It's a cluster phuck out there in the ME. Too bad your illiterate President just put us smack into the ring of fire.

Seek Logistics from other Shi'a-Arab government? That is the point, which Shi'a arab government will they seek logistics from? Yemen, Syrian, Iraq? To the best of my knowledge west Africa or indeed Africa Muslims at large are dominated by the Sunnis even the terrorists, Smuggling in weapons into Nigeria would be difficult or impossible. Hezbollahs are mostly of Arab/Persians dysentery. In other words they are whites and a large population of them moving into Nigeria would be easily noticed. Again Shi'a movement in Nigeria don't really have a territory, They are just scattered across Nigeria like the Jews were in Europe and can't really organized to stage an attack. For your information not all Shiites in Nigeria are a member of the Zakzaki IMN. Unlike Boko haram that may have some top men backing them both in the military and politics the Shiites has none or few in Nigeria. Iran didn't foresaw this and they really aren't prepare for any Shiites clampdown in Nigeria unlike in Lebanon, Syria etc This is not the first time the Shiites in Nigeria have been attacked, They are worst scenario than this since the regime of Abacha, What did Iran do?
Smuggling weapons and people into Nigeria is easy. There is nothing difficult about it with the many saboteurs and corrupt officers we have in immigration and defense agencies.

Sure, not all shiites are under IMN, but those outside the IMN will not sit idly by when other Shia's are persecuted. It's like the Sunni and Shiites coming together to fight the Arab-Isreali war of the '60s.

You should know that the premise of discussion in this thread is that this is an hypothesis. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards are fierce and effective saboteurs, and there are key shiites in Nigeria's government as well.

Iran really can't do much in Nigeria unlike in Yemen, Syrian and Iraq. Unless they want to take the war themselves to Nigeria they can't really fight a proxy war here. The Shi'a movement in Nigeria is really helpless and would be stamp out, Other than direct war with Nigeria the best Iran can do is to brainwashed their citizens and Shi'as all over the world into hating Nigeria. Just like they deed for Israel, America and Saudi Arabia, Get ready to hear lots of chants like "Death to Nigeria" soon.
Don't be so sure.

The Shia population in Nigeria is 10 million. El-zahkahzy has been receiving funds from Iran for the past 30 years.

Iran's economic bans have been lifted and they would start exporting more oil next year. That means more money.

The Sunnis do not have the monopoly of violence, the shiites are just as violent. All they have to do is bring in Hezbollah fighters to lead the charge in Nigeria. And seek logistic help from other Shia Arab governments.

When Islamists fight a proxy war, they don't send their army at the start. They fund armed groups that do the fighting.

The last thing the north needs is to be turned into a proxy battleground. Syria is not smiling.

The Saudis and Iranians will stay in their well-developed country and orchestrate a feud that will result in:
1. Killing of Nigerian citizens on both sides (Sunni and Shia)
2. Destruction of an already dilapidated infrastructure

I know many in the south are saying whatever the Muslims do should stay in the north. But if this blows over, the refugee situation in the South will be huge.

The south does not have as much landmass as the north. And historically, when the Fulani and Hausa people settle, it is hard, if not impossible, to kick them out later on.

PMB should be warned.

FFK should stop spewing nonsense. He can go to hell with his trash, bunch of hypocrites. Your statement his irrelevant to the public at large so save yourself some energy. If you think its normal for some miscreants to messed-up with the Nigeria Army and even go to the extent of confronting the Chief Of Army Staff convoy then you need your brain checked.
Under your drunkard master, some miscreants attacked Nigeria Police headquarter and scott free and till today no one has been paraded for the crime. This regime will not allow lawlessness from anybody so get that fact into your head.
We are Muslim so Shia can go to Iran where they can do their nonsense.
PassingShot:
Though the massacre of Shia members is condemnable and should have been avoided, videos of what happened have made us known that the movement was confrontational with the army.

Akpobolokemi was gently asked to come with the police who has gone to arrest him on different matter from those which he was granted bail and he resisted arrest. No where in the world will anyone resisting arrest be treated better than what those policemen did to him. He could easily have been seriously injured. In fact, such resistance is another crime entirely.

As for the state of economy, sensible persons know that what we're going through today is a result of our bad decisions from many years ago. Decision to waste our unprecedented dollars earned from crude sale with noth much to show for it.
Decision to plunder our ECA to an abysmal level of $29bn from $47bn that GEJ met it instead of growing it.

Decision to loot budgetary and non-budgetary allocations to fight insurgency by PDP cabal headed by Dasuki while GEJ looked on.

Decision to dollarize the economy by bribing anyone bribable just for GEJ to win election.

Decision to grant import waivers to the rich on luxury goods with NOI's and GEJ's nod.

Those poor judgements are too many to ink here and had we not gotten rid of GEJ, Nigeria would have become a complete FAILED NATION. After all, GEJ borrowed to pay salaries in March and April of 2015. So, what other indications do we need to know we were already dead in GEJ's hands?

FFK, you're a slowpoke if you feign no knowledge of all the wrong decisions that brought our economy to this state. May you and your likes who participated in crashing the economy be served deserved justice in no distant future.
Omo ale!
So a few misguided miscreants did not let the COAS pass. After killing a few tens at the procession ON THE ROAD. They also went to the heart of the Shia Muslim community in Zaria to kill "at least one thousand people" and burn their houses.

It's like if some people were protesting about Biafra and denied the COAS passage in Onitsha. And then he kills some at the point where he was denied passage. After which he sent the military to the heart of Onitsha to kill several hundreds of people who probably were not part of the protest but were simply Igbos.

When a group of people are killed simply because of their religious affiliation for the decision made by misguided elements in the same religious group, it is a crime against humanity and there is no justification.

Why not the military start killing thousands of Sunni Muslims because their religious members, Boko Haram, have killed tens of thousands of Nigerians including soldiers?

I regret being a citizen of a country where human lives are worth NOTHING. Where there are flagrant disregard of human rights, and the populace keep mute in a supposedly democratic state.

Karma is a darling. When you stay silent or try to justify someone's predicament, people will equally stay silent or try to justify your predicament.

In any case, his long-winded reply in 2012 criticized the sudden removal of subsidy. He did not really say removal of subsidy was wrong, rather he canvassed for phased removal for reduced hardship, and that is what the GEJ administration finally did.

But worse off are the governors who after agreeing with the president to remove subsidy suddenly, backtracked and stabbed Jonah in the back.

The odds of Nigeria and Iran going to war is equivalent to the odds of a person being struck by lightning.

In any case, hypothetically, the war will be fought in Nigeria. The war will drag on for months, but Nigeria will come out of the war a severely ravaged country, with Iran the likely victor.

If allies get in on the action, then the economic, military, and humanitarian cost of the war will be epic. Suffice it to say, the entire West Africa region will directly feel the effect of the war. The refugee crisis will make the current Syrian situation seem like rehearsal.
