Dtruthspeaker: Overstretching an argument to a point of absurdity is fallacious and most unreasonable.especially as by your argument, you are the devil kiilling babies.
whereas No reasonable person has ever thought it illogical for a Father to send His Son, to die, in saving others. E.g. like the father of a fireman who allows his son go into WTC to save people.
Your twisting and fallacious Reductio ad absurdum" and extended analogy. Can never work. No Road devil. Hahahahahaha. LoLz. A fireman allowing his son to go save people is not killing his son for their sins so yeah you are the one with the fallacious analogy. LMFAO! If killing newborns in place of the guilty is absurd and unreasonable and thus illogical so is "sacrificing" your innocent "son" for the "sins" of others. So glad you can recognise the absurdity, unreasonability and illogicality of such a proposition. Bwahahahahaha! |

Secondly, these fallacies made your response illogical. They don't apply. My statement was exactly the same as the question I posed to you, kill an innocent for the guilty and you recognised the illogicality of such nonsense when you saw your own reflection. LoLz. |

Christianity Etc › Re: When Eve Was Charged To Court, This Was Her Charges! by LordReed(m): 1:24pm On Nov 24, 2023 |
Dtruthspeaker: It can't because this is naturally very unpleasant and like most people I would have preferred to hide in the security of ignoring to continue in the security of not knowing
But, I have been bitten too many times by facts I chose to ignore because I wanted to hide in "I did not know" security. And it did not work as millions of people should have learned but they don't
But for me, I choose to face the painfull Truth, no matter how very bitter it is, i have found out that it is much more better and even profitable in the end to go through the painfull Truth.
Like I have told you before, I came to nairaland because of you in 2019 because it was around that same that a colleague showed me nairaland and then I saw all the wicked but hard and very hard questions and attacks which you used to assault Christians and churchgoers which definitely made me question my belief in God.
But because I faced the truths I saw how God had proven Himself to me and to the world and therefore I started finding all the answers that answered your wicked queries and thus was my faith and trust in God strengthened and that was when I jumped in here and came after you.
So, no one can spin it on me because where Truth is unpleasant everyone finds it unpleasant.
Thus I found what Lewis said here
"If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair". C. S. Lewis LoLz. So I inspired you to examine your faith in a deity, interesting. Some day you should walk us through your process. |

Kepukepu: On the average, religious people are more intuitive and less critical thinkers than irreligious people. There's a difference being brilliant and being a critical thinker. Religion with evidence hinders critical thinking and attracts the less thinkers (on thr average) There are literally several Pew research on this. Good so we agree that it is not the level of mental acuity that is deficient amongst the religious. |

1. Personal Email ID 2. NIN 3. Mobile 1 4. Mobile 2 (if you have one)
There is a new mandate for payroll processing by Ministry of Interior which requires these details. It is not confidential or a proprietary that that belongs to "YOU" the individual. Providing this to your employer as required is mandatory, you may verify the circular (from Ministry of Interior) with Faith for your comfort.
*Please comply immediately and avoid the embarrassment to yourselves.* Fake. I work for the government and at no time have I been asked by the office to provide my NIN or BVN. Don't be fooled into giving your details to scammers. |

Let the them enjoy it. Just like the Bible says; "if you live by the sword, you die by the sword." if you have intention of killing others just because of the advancement if your satanic religion, others too will have intention of getting rid of you. The Bible again says; Galatians 6:7 KJV "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap"

Anelkanu2: The year is 2013, Tari is in his 3rd year in the university, and after years of negligence on his faith in God, he decided to be more faithful. So, he starts paying his Tithe, cleaning the church and even gets baptised. He’s not the most righteous person, but from a distance, you can see he is making an effort. Everything is going great, he feels a connection to God and then a few months into his third year, Tari gets expelled. Yes, instead of being rewarded with all the good things of life, at 19, Tari loses three years of his life, and the only words out of his mouth are” God, why me?”.
Recently, I decided to read the entire Bible. Yes, from Genesis to Revelation (well, I’m only three books in but still…). Taking my faith in God seriously has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my 24 years on earth. Being born into a Christian home and having parents who love and trust God like their lives depend on Him didn’t leave me much of choice as a child. But my decision to get closer to my God is one I made out of necessity. Truth is, you and I didn’t create ourselves, and so we are not self-sufficient. We have a purpose on earth, and to fulfil that purpose, we need some guidance from the one who created us.
I like to think that God and I understand each other and whatever I ask, he gives, but there are times I have had my doubts if someone is watching and listening and if there is, does HE care? I know most of us have had those questions and uncertainties, and it’s okay. But really, one question that has been on my mind lately is “How does God work?”. And I’m not asking this because I want to be God or anything like that. I mean, I am ambitious but not that ambitious. My curiosity for the complex working of our creator stems from a desire to get closer to God. Because If I can get closer to Him, then maybe I can understand why everything happens the way they do. I have always been this way, right from my early years as a child; I would always go through my parent’s things. Call it sheer curiosity, but I thought that if I had more insight into what was going on their lives, then I would know what to ask for, how to help or what to do (or maybe it's just curiosity). And that is what led to me take up reading the entire Bible. Three books in and I already know what the answer is going to be. GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS. Which is why when you think you have figured Him out, something happens to reset all the data and evidence you have. And for the first time in my life, I have accepted that maybe it is best if I don’t try to understand God.
So, for anyone that has had the same question, I suggest you Trust and Love God instead, knowing fully well that no matter what happens, He has the best in store for you. LoLz! This is the thought stopping hard lock that has been bred into you that's why you give up exploring any further. You are not alone, I had the same thought stopping process for years until I decided to look behind the curtain. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Dr Naik Zakir's Dumb Answer To A Christian Guy's Question In Sokoto. by LordReed(m): 4:51pm On Nov 22, 2023 |
englishmart: Dr. Naik is into comparative analysis of religions. "Islam and Christianity" especially. I saw a debate he had with a Christian in Sokoto where the guy asked, "If Islam is a religion of peace, how come it's responsible for violence all over the world?"
"The police is responsible for maintaining peace, why do they have guns? Sometimes, you maintain peace forcefully," he added.
Law enforcement agency and religion are two different entities. You don't take laws into your hands and claim you're enforcing peace.
"I'm asking because..." "I don't care why you're asking, I've answered your question," Dr. Naik interjected His debater added, after several failed attempts to shut him down that the reason for his question was because a Christian girl was stoned and burnt to death in Sokoto for alleged blasphemy"
In his his response, he said "You can't blaspheme against Allah or his prophet. The penalty is death." He added that such act could cause chaos and the best way to avoid impending chaos was to take laws into one's hands, he responded
I'm beginning to understand why he was exiled from India his country for inciting violence and terrorism. His points are always deflective, and I wonder how bereft of intellect one has to be to be so convinced by his disjointed, conflictory arguments to the extent of converting to Islam.
If I may have a debate with him, it will have to be somewhere in Enugu, not Sokoto. He calls crucifixion, "cruciFICTION" According to their definition of blasphemy, his points are usually blasphemous. If I debate him in Sokoto, I won't come out alive. I wonder why a radical like this is allowed in our country, such people should be banned. We have enough problems with Islamic radicalisation we don't need to go importing more. |
