Career / Re: N5 Million Cash Or A 100k Job? Help Him Decide by lordthree(m): 9:01am On May 11, 2020
Take the 5 million

Reasons why

1. There is nothing better than being your own boss believe me

2. If you take that 100k job you’ll have to deal with transportation fare, feeding so atleast 20k every month

3. What happens if the organization gets a new management that doesn’t understand this arrangement and sacks you

4 what if the organization goes bankrupt especially in the post covid era

5. What if you have a supervisor that frustrates you

Take the money be your own boss
Fix deposit 2 million and start a business with 3 million

i bet 100% sure that Lagos governor will never lift the lock down due to the current community spreading.

watch and see
The governor is ready to open up lagos that's why they started the #maskuplagos challenge

Just focus on your family, practice good hygiene wear proper masks not Ankara and pray to your god.

Is it that you are enjoying this back and forth quotes, or you are deliberately forcing yourself not to understand me?

Now we are currently on lockdown
Is Iamgrey infected? No
If the lockdown is lifted, is it possible for him to be infected? Obviously yes

The reason why you are seeing increased numbers is because THEY HAVE INCREASED THE NUMBER OF TESTS. THEY HAVE INCREASED THE NUMBER OF TESTS. THEY HAVE INCREASED THE NUMBER OF TESTS. THEY HAVE INCREASED THE NUMBER OF TESTS

If you conduct a test for 1 million people today, you'll see an increased number. It just shows you that these are the infected ones, not necessarily that they caught it today

But if you remove the lockdown, it becomes more difficult to find them, and the infected ones(who don,t know) will keep spreading it.

I hope your next quote wont let us dwell on this anymore

Bro you’re wasting your time. Most Nigerians are block heads

DEADALIVE:

Very good submission but one notable thing you failed to mention is where will the money come from because as of now Nigeria is running no business both government and private establishment. Moreso even if vaccine will be out the process and time it will circulate to Nigeria may be September if all things work good... mind you we are even depending rather we should also be looking out for solution to eradicate the virus within instead of looking upto others

So what’s your suggestion sir

Nelz77:
Deja-vu this keep happening....Just like b4 APC Government came on board every Nigerian was forming Economic and anti corruption guru.

Nigerians are proffering for a Relax in Luckdown like Economics and epidemics guru.

If this Lockdown is relaxed, three of these will happen
1. New cases will escalate
2. Hospitals will be overwhelmed
3. Nigerians.... this same Nigerians agitating for a relaxed Luckdown will accuse this Government of irresponsibility. Saying they’ll forget they where d ones that asked for relaxed Luckdown will b an under statement.

Government shouldn’t dare Relax this Luckdown.

This is exactly what a lot of Nigerians don’t understand

Nigeria is already tagged by WHO to be at the community transmission stage, a month ago we were at Cluster of Cases. USA Spain, Italy etc are examples of countries also at Community transmission this means that the virus isn’t just spread by people who have returned from countries affected, it has gone past that now the virus is in Nigerian communities.

Imagine clamouring to go out to work when there’s a virus even Nigerian doctors barely understand and treatment is only trial and error.

The lockdown must continue because I don’t trust the average Nigerian to maintain social distancing or the proper hygiene required to stop the spread of the virus. Let’s face it quite a number of Nigerians don’t even know what good personal hygiene is and will put others at risk.

I just hope the government extends the lockdown but with palliatives, people have to be given money every month till this virus ends that’s the only way we can achieve at least 95% lockdown compliance.

Finally I hope everyone would choose to stay alive by staying home, there’s nothing worse than being a statistic of a virus ravaging the world.

Well said.

The only lockdown goverment is supposed to lift is lockdown on nusery, secondary, and primary schools becos the virus hardly kill children. They should sit down and brain storm ways children will go back to school instead of involving dem in the lockdown for long. Before they lift it they should make it compolsury for teachers to go for test.if they wanna test children also..Fine

They should make it compolsury for teachers ans student to wear nose mask and gloves when going to school, while the school provide sanitisers for teachers and parent.
No parent or visitors should be allowed inside. They can pick up dere kids at the gate.

This is quite honestly the most absurd comment I have read all day.

[21/03, 18:41] : I spoke with the consultant of the Infectious Diseases Unit, LUTH yesterday and he told me clearly not to listen to a single thing spoken by the government.
[21/03, 18:41] : A lot of people are already infected and are taking Armatem at home, meaning when the pandemic becomes full blown in Nigeria, it will likely be worse than China and Italy.
[21/03, 18:42] : Pls tell your family and friends to stay away from needless gatherings, no matter how “important”, keep your hands as clean as possible all the time, avoid touching anything outside your house, run away from anyone who sneezes or coughs around you.
[21/03, 18:42] : Pls I have a note of warning for all of us, especially those in Lagos.
[21/03, 18:42] : They are dealing with far more than what they are revealing and he warned that everyone should take caution as though the pandemic is already full blown in Nigeria.
[21/03, 18:42]: He said even those who recover from COVID-19 suffer close to 50% of lungs damage permanently, which means they will be on medication forever or they may die from complications in a few years after recovery from COVID-19.
[21/03, 18:42] : It’s not a flu like China makes people believe, it’s more like chronic pneumonia.
[21/03, 18:42] : The doctor told me the NCDC is telling suspected cases to self isolate when there’s no means of checking how well these people isolate. This means by the time they start showing symptoms, they would have infected others.
[21/03, 18:42] : The virus like most viruses doesn’t last long in the body after incubation. Viruses have no “cure”, only the symptoms will be managed. The virus takes its course in like two weeks before the body develops antibodies to defeat it.
[21/03, 18:42] : This is the best possible way to curb the spread. This thing is not a joke at all. It is estimated to claim at least 80million people worldwide. Do all you can not to be one of them.
[21/03, 18:42] : Avoid people like the plague Cos asthma has weakened the lungs already and they won’t survive COVID-19.
[21/03, : COVID-19 will almost certainly be fatal to anyone who has respiratory illness, kidney or liver disease before infection. Cos those organs are usually its target.
[21/03, 18:42] : If you have asthma, pls treat this like someone gave your name and picture to an assassin.
[21/03, 18:42] : This virus is not a joke whatsoever.
[21/03, 18:42] : More advanced countries don’t even have enough test kits, how much more Nigeria?
[21/03, 18:42] : Panic now and act like the crazy one now, so you can be the sane one in the end.
[21/03, 18:42] : It is capable of infecting every human being on earth and killing up to 10% of the human race.
[21/03, 18:42] : If you have internet, watch “the worst hit hospital in Italy” on YouTube and see what’s going on there first hand.
[21/03, 18:42] : I don’t even care what Lagos State want to tell me.
If they like they should under estimate the virus..
on our own part.. let’s stay at home.

It was when I saw how free the roads were at closing time yesterday that I knew that some people are actually already at home.

I was opening office doors with tissue paper and people were looking at me like i'm crazy.

Health / Coronavirus: 5 Reasons Why COVID-19 Could Be A Disaster In Lagos by lordthree(m): 12:40pm On Mar 19, 2020
1. For those that use the new LBS/BRT buses
The queues: you end up too close to strangers, and when they struggle they touch you.
The hand rails: on these buses hand rails are touched by millions of unwashed hands shocked.
The LBS staff: They touch numerous hands as they collect and tear up tickets which can lead to spread of the virus.

(i suggest the lagos state government makes sure that hand sanitizers are squirt to each passenger's hand as they have they tickets checked.)

2. Street Food
Lagosians have been raised to patronize street hawkers and vendors, we pass by someone frying akara and automatically we have cravings, years ago this wasn't an issue because patronizing these hawkers helps to put food on their tables, but, with the COVID-19 this is a disaster waiting to happen as these hawkers and street vendors don't practice good hygiene practices when making these.

Some Instances
Imagine a Suya seller seasons his suya meat with his hand, uses that same hand to cut up the suya, uses that same hand to collect money from a customer and the cycle continuous without washing his hand with soap.

or a Puff Puff seller who uses her hand to make the puff puff, collects money from a customer and uses that same hand to make more batches of puff puff.

Same can be said of roasted corn and bole, the seller touches the bole, potential buyers touch the bole and sometimes buy a different one

my suggestion during this period refrain from purchasing the street food.

3. Poverty and Living from Hand to Mouth
A whole lot of Lagosians are either poor or depend on their monthly salaries to survive so in cases like this how can they practice social distancing or self isolation, how can these people stock up on supplies, they have to go to work even with this contagious virus.

4. Eating with hands
Imagine eating Amala at a bukka without washing your hand thoroughly.
I suggest as painful as it might be, i suggest we start eating these meals with spoons.

5. Nose picking and handshakes
I wont even comment on this angry angry angry

Sports / Court of Arbitration for Sports Clears Chelsea to Make Signings in January by lordthree(m): 12:21pm On Dec 06, 2019
BREAKING: Chelsea are free to sign players in January as their transfer ban has been reduced by the Court of Arbitration for Sports.

The Premier League side were given a two-window ban by Fifa in February for breaching rules on signing young players.

Cas halved the ban to one window, which was served during the summer.

It also reduced the fine for the London club from 600,000 to 300,000 Swiss francs (£230,000).

Cas found that the Blues "did violate" rules "related to the international transfer of minors" and "to the first registration of minors" but "for a significantly smaller number of players" amounting to "about a third of the violations found by Fifa".

This news will come as a boost for Chelsea Manager Frank Lampard and his young side as in the past week they have been linked with transfer signings like Jadon Sancho (Dortmund) Ben Chilwell (Leicester) and Timo Werner (Leipzig).

Chelsea currently 4th on the English Premier League will look to finally spend proceeds from sale of players like Real Madrid's Eden Hazard, Alvaro Morata and Arsenal Flop David Luiz.

Romance / Re: Should I Continue This Relationship Or Quit? by lordthree(m): 11:19am On Oct 31, 2019
frankyskyboi:
I started a relationship with a lady in March this year and it's been going on well though she works in Lagos while I'm in the eastern part of the country.

When we were at the introductory part of the relationship, I asked about her family and she told me they are separated. I asked what's the reason for the separation and she said its due to irreconcilable differences and they separated when she was a toddler that it's her dad that raised her up tho she keeps contact occasionally with her mum.

She stays with her aunts in Lagos. I asked if she asked both parents to know why and she said she only asked her dad and he said he doesn't want her mum to be working class and she insisted to be One that he wants her to be a stay at home wife. I asked if she heard from her mum and she said no. She also said her aunts said same thing her dad said.

The reason really didn't go down well with me as it's too flimsy and I've told her to ask her mum and she keeps procrastinating or giving one excuse or the other. It beats my imagination how a grown up adult can't know with conviction why her parents separated or I guess the truth is being hidden.

I'm bringing this up here because my brother married from a separated home and it was war before my parents gave consent. If she can't give me concrete reason why the parents broke up which I'll present before my parents, I really don't know how the relationship can move forward because we detest divorce in our family.

Please I need your advice if I should continue or quit.

You obviously need a reason to end the relationship because this write up here is pretty stupid.
