I will be 31 this year. Omo the age is scaring me and I keep feeling like I’m not doing enough. I have a stable job in the private sector with a 400k monthly salary. But I still feel the impact of the economy badly. I keep asking myself, at what point will I start living the good live?
I feel stock sometimes because my job is very demanding and I almost do not have time to do other things, mind you I’m in the medical field and I work Mondays to Sundays most times but occasionally I have some Sundays to myself and sometimes a day off during the week. I can’t seem to be able to start a business as a side hustle cause most of the side hustles I can think will demand my presence at least for the first few months and I don’t really have that.
My girlfriend is pregnant, I really wanna keep it but she’s not ready, I’m not even sure I’m ready. The only way she can keep it is if I’m going to get married to her before the pregnancy starts showing and I’m as confused as hell cos I don’t know if I’m ready. She has always been vocal of her plans to japa.
Now that brings me to the idea of Japa too. I mean, I cannot deny that fact that I’m scared of the whole japa stuff cos I don’t know what to expect. Economy doesn’t even allow you save as much as you should. Everything’s just seems very scattered.

Pls I need adult minds to advise me on what I can do.
1. Do I start a business, what kinda business can I start with at least 2M that will not require my full presence?
2. Do I start to plan my japa through the study route and just face my fears
3. Should I insist on keeping the pregnancy and hope that things start making sense? This means I have to get married tho.

For some days now I have been on a serious dilemma whether to resign from my federal government job that pays me above N200k for my current position and migrate to the UK or stay in naija and set up a business to augment my salary. I will be 34 years next year, I feel traveling to the uk for studies next year September will delay my chances of getting married, as I have planned not exceeding 34 years without getting married.

I belong to the school of thought that believes can make it in Nigeria despite all odds. However, considering the economic realities of the country, I have recently contemplating of japa and maybe get a Nigerian lady for marriage after my studies.

Please I earnestly need matured advice from you guys to know how to start the coming year.

The problem I have with all this commen from Nigerian men is that most of you have women as your bosses in your place of work....lol. if in your place of work you have not resigned because a woman is your boss I don't see how your wife earning more than you is a problem. A poor wife can insult likewise a rich wife. A poor wife not insulting you is because of slave Master relationship and not because she respect you. If she insult you ....lol you will foolish tell her you will not eat today and there is nothing she can do so she begs you so she can eat....How is this respect? Most Nigerian men cannot earn respect without money. Now the difference between Wike and Fubara's emergence is that, while Wike on his own with the structure he built through GDI and its reach through the length and breadth of Rivers state battled an opposition government in power to a standstill and emerged victorious. While conversely Fubara was carried like an appendage (Nomination form, campaign and logistics were all financed for him) through the campaign, people even complained that they hardly see him speak in public, infact Wike in one his interview stated that he anointed Fubara because the Man never at any point indicated any interest to govern the state and he is a technocrat that will take Rivers state to the next level.

Should such a person be playing politics at this early stage of his government, one should have expected him to concentrate in delivering good governance and I have to admit he started well with his plans and pronouncements especially in agriculture and infrastructure and human resource development.

Then with time entrench himself to the people by virtue of performance and perhaps after his first tenure he can start playing high level politics as they all do but no he rather listen to people that know next to nothing about his nomination by dismantling the very structure that brought him to power.

Well he has played his card let him deal with the consequences thereof.

Nigerian politics is a peculiar one, a stand alone person can hardly smell the coveted seat of a governor unless the person is a money bag with the people behind him/her or you're carried by the existing structure in place.

Which opposition Governor did he battle? Amachi was a pdp Governor and his disagreement was more with the wife of the president so I don't understand the so called structure you are talking about. Amaechi completed his tenure as a Governor.

As a man, you are a king and your wife is the Queen. Queens don't work, they only look beautiful for the king to admire and they don't have any say in the house. And they dare not question the king for having concubines or taking more wives.

Men, work hard, work very hard so you can take care of your home and stop waiting for your wife to bring something to the table. You can't handle that table.

My wife is just here enjoying herself. She is respectful and takes care of the home and when she catches me cheating, she can only cry. I will pet her and beg her and go back to my cheating. And the day she cheats, she is going back to her father's house while I take another wife.

I have seen plentiful post about failed marriages on the Internet. Most marriages only last a couple of years before divorce comes up. Although there are few happy marriages. The ratio for happy marriages and failed marriages is 20:80. There are many factors that contribute to failed marriages which include cheating, unfaithfulness, finance etc. Some just wake up and realise that their wife is no longer attractive ( did they force her on you? ). Back in the days marriages were pre set up whereby couples barely knows themselves. Nowadays you see couple dating for 6-10years and when they finally get married issues will start poping up.

Maybe marriage should be like a contact after some years it will be terminated depending on how long the couple want it to be

What is the essence of the nonsense you wrote? Like what is the message if at the end you write about marriage being a contract? Why do we need contract when you can just have a baby mama and move or women can just choose to have IVF or seduce someone to impregnate then and just move on
