Elsucre24: I will be 31 this year. Omo the age is scaring me and I keep feeling like I’m not doing enough. I have a stable job in the private sector with a 400k monthly salary. But I still feel the impact of the economy badly. I keep asking myself, at what point will I start living the good live? I feel stock sometimes because my job is very demanding and I almost do not have time to do other things, mind you I’m in the medical field and I work Mondays to Sundays most times but occasionally I have some Sundays to myself and sometimes a day off during the week. I can’t seem to be able to start a business as a side hustle cause most of the side hustles I can think will demand my presence at least for the first few months and I don’t really have that. My girlfriend is pregnant, I really wanna keep it but she’s not ready, I’m not even sure I’m ready. The only way she can keep it is if I’m going to get married to her before the pregnancy starts showing and I’m as confused as hell cos I don’t know if I’m ready. She has always been vocal of her plans to japa. Now that brings me to the idea of Japa too. I mean, I cannot deny that fact that I’m scared of the whole japa stuff cos I don’t know what to expect. Economy doesn’t even allow you save as much as you should. Everything’s just seems very scattered.
Pls I need adult minds to advise me on what I can do. 1. Do I start a business, what kinda business can I start with at least 2M that will not require my full presence? 2. Do I start to plan my japa through the study route and just face my fears 3. Should I insist on keeping the pregnancy and hope that things start making sense? This means I have to get married tho.
Thank y’all. Everyone must trend with japa....smh |

Whatever happened in Niger is just life. Life is cruel and anyone can stab you at the back. There are about 200 countries in the world with presidents and their guards and security have not betrayed them. Niger is just one country out of many so you have no point here. You still do not understand the politics of protection. You mention a guard protecting the king but I am only letting you know the protection of a king goes beyond a guard with a gun or sword. |

CaveAdullam: The average person lacks self-awareness, knowledge, and wisdom. Because building these virtues and values takes a long time.
A woman earning more than her man in the process of a relationship ought not to be a problem. But the average woman doesn't think beyond the first layer of her head. Hence, many become obnoxious and treat their husbands with disdain and disrespect.
Women want to be with men higher and better than them. Once a woman senses that she's better than you in one or two areas, resentment and disrespect start breeding in her heart. Because she sees you as a leader, and expects you to operate from a higher dimension. You operating below her scares her evolutionary wiring - that you are a man who can't protect and provide for her kids in dire moments.
These challenges men face with women have led men into the field of innovations and different wonders. The burden of performance is always upon the man. The woman wants that assurance that she is with the right man.
Relationship isn't a competition. It ought to be two people working together to achieve a particular goal.
However, in sexual relationship, men must be ahead of their woman in all ramifications. It breeds respect, ensure the stability of the relationship, and gives the woman an assurance.
Men that have their women ahead must work hard to pass them and maintain first position. It isn't by pulling her down, treating her badly, subtle jealousy, subtle hate, and acting macho.
It is him going back to the strategy board to plan better ways and win his game. After all, it is his duty to lead his family, and by so must remain at the forefront.
It's easier to tell women to maintain submissions, modesty, and humility when they are on top and earning more than their husbands than for said women to deliberately act that same way.
Only advice for this women is to help stimulate their husbands in getting to the top. Not by anger, henpecking, nagging, subtle jabs, and negligence. But by love and humility.
It will not be easy. But it is possible. Because a woman wants to see her man at the top and it gives men joy to be at the top.
Thanks. The problem I have with all this commen from Nigerian men is that most of you have women as your bosses in your place of work....lol. if in your place of work you have not resigned because a woman is your boss I don't see how your wife earning more than you is a problem. A poor wife can insult likewise a rich wife. A poor wife not insulting you is because of slave Master relationship and not because she respect you. If she insult you ....lol you will foolish tell her you will not eat today and there is nothing she can do so she begs you so she can eat....How is this respect? Most Nigerian men cannot earn respect without money. They lack value system hence all the time you hear them talk is just make money you can get any girl...lol some of them think the reason to get money and be rich is to get women....useless species |
Politics › Re: Governor Fubara Appoints Former Assembly Speaker, Edison As Chief Of Staff by loswhite(m): 2:15pm On Jan 02, 2024 |
AmazingELixir: This your question I find very irrelevant.
Now the difference between Wike and Fubara's emergence is that, while Wike on his own with the structure he built through GDI and its reach through the length and breadth of Rivers state battled an opposition government in power to a standstill and emerged victorious. While conversely Fubara was carried like an appendage (Nomination form, campaign and logistics were all financed for him) through the campaign, people even complained that they hardly see him speak in public, infact Wike in one his interview stated that he anointed Fubara because the Man never at any point indicated any interest to govern the state and he is a technocrat that will take Rivers state to the next level.
Should such a person be playing politics at this early stage of his government, one should have expected him to concentrate in delivering good governance and I have to admit he started well with his plans and pronouncements especially in agriculture and infrastructure and human resource development.
Then with time entrench himself to the people by virtue of performance and perhaps after his first tenure he can start playing high level politics as they all do but no he rather listen to people that know next to nothing about his nomination by dismantling the very structure that brought him to power.
Well he has played his card let him deal with the consequences thereof.
Nigerian politics is a peculiar one, a stand alone person can hardly smell the coveted seat of a governor unless the person is a money bag with the people behind him/her or you're carried by the existing structure in place. Which opposition Governor did he battle? Amachi was a pdp Governor and his disagreement was more with the wife of the president so I don't understand the so called structure you are talking about. Amaechi completed his tenure as a Governor. |
Family › Re: Does A Woman Earning More Than The Husband Affect The Marriage? by loswhite(m): 2:11pm On Jan 02, 2024 |
saasala: The major reason the marriage of our parents lasted till eternity is because our fathers were the sole or major breadwinners of the family.
The reason marriages nowadays crash easily is because women now bring something tangible to the table. This is the major reasons marriages in Western countries don't last because women now have a say.
I just laugh when I see Nairaland guys saying "Nigerian women don't bring anything to the table" Like can you handle them when they start bringing something to the table?
I will rather not want my wife to bring anything to the table or bring something very small to the table. I only need her to be a good wife, take care of the home, the kids and be submissive. That's all a woman needs to do.
Nature has not designed a woman to be a leader. The moment they earn more than you, then they become the leader which is abnormal, and since they are not wired to lead, they will crumble the ship and scatter the building.
As much as people get divorced in Nigeria, we are still among the least divorced countries in the world but the numbers are climbing up because a lot of men are asking "What is she bringing to the table?"
I understand that the economy isn't helping matters and the make up of the 21st century generally has made it possible for both men and women to work and anyone can earn more than the other, and this is a pandemic.
Women are designed to worship their men, respect them, take care of the home and the kids.
As a man, you are a king and your wife is the Queen. Queens don't work, they only look beautiful for the king to admire and they don't have any say in the house. And they dare not question the king for having concubines or taking more wives.
Men, work hard, work very hard so you can take care of your home and stop waiting for your wife to bring something to the table. You can't handle that table.
My wife is just here enjoying herself. She is respectful and takes care of the home and when she catches me cheating, she can only cry. I will pet her and beg her and go back to my cheating. And the day she cheats, she is going back to her father's house while I take another wife. Do you play chess? In a game of chess the queen work to protect the king so your analysis of queen don't work...lol I wonder where you got that from sha |

Family › Re: Why Ladies Refuse To Build With Guys !! by loswhite(m): 12:36pm On Jan 02, 2024 |
Wisegeek01: Heres why ladies refuse to build with guys .. Experience ✨
and i cant blame them for that, because this my gender, men!! They can ghost ehh! Today you are dating, tomorrow is saturday you see trad on their friends status😎🥂 ..
but thats not to say ladies don't ghost too oo, one of my guys they ghosted during university, fell sick for 1 month, i mean he said theres nothing he didnt do for her, even that he was repeating a year is because of her, they dated for the whole time frame in school, same set, and towards finals she was bringing invitation card, ma guy fainted, when i talked to him, he was like nwa nkwo na zu, ngbe mmiri na ezo, je ulo ogwu ( the lady i backed inside rain to the hospital ) but you see this gist, i wil gist another day.
So ladies do too, and they usually do it to someone they think is unserious about marriage, whether they love the person or not, ( i dont know if they are usually under pressure from family or peers - but this will be another topic for another day )
while the guys ghost a lady they feel dont have all the requirements, but both of them are sneaky and using the same formula, no closure, just ghosting, i will understand if theres no closure for a toxic relationship, but a relationship that had no flaws, you just wake up one morning and jump out of the molue ( i.e assuming your relationship is the bus) Why ? I mean thats what c0wards do
Now back to the real question, why dont ladies build with guys again ..
See let me tell you dating anyone is a 50/50 percent chance, anyone can wake up the next day and break up, or worse you wake up and find out they are getting married or married with 6 kids or any other reason (for the men), or they have a hidden child or children from different men or any other reason ( for the women )
So now for the guys,
what's to say the guy will continue to marriage stage when he has money, that he wont dump you for his dream girl, and you have to start from scratch again .. So i never blame any lady that says they wont build with a guy, their reason is valid, but ..
For the ones who choose to build with the guy, kudos to them, but ..
While you are at that please build yourself too .. i cannot vouch for any human being or any man, build yourself in the relationship too, learn skills, get certifications, as he is growing you are growing,
If he refuses, your growth !!
omo i give you the permission to leave him, that is a very bad boy .. a narcss!st to say the least .. because if that guy eventually gets money and gets someone else, you have your years of achievements to console you, you wont be starting out again with nothing ..
Now if you decide not to build with a man, like i said, you have good reasons too, but ..
While you wait for your prince charming, please build yourself also, you cant just be dancing on social media and saying all sorts about wanting a big man or saying things like if your boyfriend is not given you 500k monthly dump him, or if his account bal is not up to 50m dump him .. what audacity for someone that has no skills, i mean they say empty barrels do what 😅
So you think a big man will just gallivant and coman carry you like that so you can be doing tiktok in his parlour .. they too know what they are looking for, and if they carry u best bet theres only one thing they need from you at that point in time ..
So build yourself while you wait for prince charming, a way of encouraging him, that .. "see ma guy nothing loss" i gat you --------------------------------------
And for the guys that want to know what to be doing in relationships that they are building, maybe the lady is not supporting you or is achieving more than you -- i.e you want to know what to do, i will cover that in another post,
Now another topic that is coming is -- when to dump a guy or a lady in a relationship, i will cover these together .. You guys just follow up, give me your feedback, negative or positive, i need it to get better, at this point i drop my pen, .. my brain wan burst ..
---------------- Image created with ( BingArt ) If you will like to learn this or any other Tech skill ( Transition to tech ) --- let me know -----------------

Meddymeddy: I have seen plentiful post about failed marriages on the Internet. Most marriages only last a couple of years before divorce comes up. Although there are few happy marriages. The ratio for happy marriages and failed marriages is 20:80. There are many factors that contribute to failed marriages which include cheating, unfaithfulness, finance etc. Some just wake up and realise that their wife is no longer attractive ( did they force her on you? ). Back in the days marriages were pre set up whereby couples barely knows themselves. Nowadays you see couple dating for 6-10years and when they finally get married issues will start poping up.
Maybe marriage should be like a contact after some years it will be terminated depending on how long the couple want it to be What is the essence of the nonsense you wrote? Like what is the message if at the end you write about marriage being a contract? Why do we need contract when you can just have a baby mama and move or women can just choose to have IVF or seduce someone to impregnate then and just move on |
