IslamRe: Essence Of Hajj by LoverBwoy(m): 8:21am On Jan 04, 2006
well i believe only in nigeria things get exaggerated!!
u'll hear people saying theyve gone for Hajj 14 times!!! yet thousands/millions can't afford it or are not priveleged to get connection for flights

Most muslims know the essence but many people esp nigerians abuse it just like they abuse many things including religion...U Hear them mention God in whatever they say it so sickening sometimes  angry because they dnt actually mean what they say..
BusinessRe: National ID Card to Become Credit Card? by LoverBwoy(m): 5:40am On Jan 04, 2006
Is this there reason why the ID have not reached 90% ( just my figures) of nigerians ? i dnt really know anybody that have their yet, r they upgrading it? or chop da money as usual
Some news report about october claimed some peoples personal details were totally wrong!!!

I mean nigerian people dont have normal I.D card talkless of a credit card..i dnt know if this is a monetary card or just a credit reference card...

the british N.I card clearly states "THIS IS NOT AN I.D CARD! ON IT (well mine does)
if they want to know peoples credit rating that should be done thru the banks they should have a network concerning peoples ratings
BusinessRe: Credit Card fraud by LoverBwoy(m): 5:21am On Jan 04, 2006
i think they are planning to introduce that this year it was on test last year...nigeria getting all these technology late is lucky as it will only apply tred n tested products in the world.....its not at da frontrunner just n apply researched technology ')
Technology MarketRe: Can a TV used in UK work in Nigeria? by LoverBwoy(m): 2:22am On Jan 03, 2006
Just get a surge protector from the UK; everything gets spoilt in Nigeria!  I wonder if a surge protector is any use.  sad

hmm let's say get a surge protector that says "£3000 guarantee" like in da argos catalogue.  Do you think they'll cover appliances in Nigeria?
Web MarketRe: Web Hosting Companies in Nigeria by LoverBwoy(m): 12:43am On Jan 03, 2006
erm can someone just make a chart and make this whole heap of data/cluster more sensible and straightforward, though a lot of advert but i think it will be more appealling if this comes in form of a table
BusinessRe: The STB Mastercard Maestro: Credit and Debit Cards in Nigeria by LoverBwoy(m): 12:14am On Jan 03, 2006
"it is accepted in over 210 countries at over 30million locations worldwide"

how many shops can i spend it in-in nigeria ?

since its operated in $$$$ dolllars $$$$, if i want to get something in a nigerian shop that accepts the mastercard how am i charged?

over here i can withdraw money from my credit card from the ATM, if i withdraw money from the stb mastercard ( or any other credit card in nigeria) do i get $$$$ dollars? cheesy

what are the charges if the customer use this card in other countries apart from nigeria?

are customers insured against fraudlent mis-use after reporting the card stolen/lost?

DOES IT REALLY TAKE 2MONTH+ TO OPEN A VIRTUAL PAL ACCOUNT WITH STBhuh AND THE STAFFS HAVE ACTUALLY NEVER HEARD OF IT??/

this site in really informative!! its like da ask jeeves of nigeria wink

SportsRe: Watching Super Eagles? Count Me Out! by LoverBwoy(m): 11:00pm On Jan 02, 2006
i wondered the same aswell
If they had a problem for the friendlies they played before the last matches of the world cup qualifers...they wont give them access to the same hotel....
As u cant trust the NFA press people who wil always say everything is fine....or in some cases say different things (Katsina,Kano,Abuja) one is always incline to google it and the first reports will be from international agents

I wonder why they cant have general T.V coverage/ and press conference in the camp so we will be kept updated cool

Who knows anything about Osu University area? I hear they don't have good standard house or could do with more. What about Kwara University area and Kwara Poly area?

What is it like collecting rent from students/workers in nigeria? Do they pay direct to an acount or you literally have to do Baba-Suwe and knock on their doors?

BusinessRe: Can 200,000 Naira Start A Good Business In Nigeria? by LoverBwoy(m): 4:18am On Dec 31, 2005
A clothing line?  Can N200k actually start a clothing line?  (not $)

ok people, I want to start/open a Unisex Salon with other minors like phone business.  CD, DVD, Games for sale at the same venue possible not in da central lagos so average shope rent

- cut hair
- braid hair (extra)
- sell re-charge cards
- sell dvds, games, CDs
- gameshop ps3, x-box 360 (extra)

Considering the fact business is risky and triple risky in Nigeria, do you think 200-250k would be enough to start a barbing shop?  If I was living in Nigeria would I be able to survive and live with this?

I asked my barber who owned a shop in nigeria it should be enough but i should forget nigeria n concetrate on my studies.  But I've been itching to do something like this for a long time.  I basically want to supply the capital and have my cousin manage it for themselves!  If they succeed that's their gain, and if not [then too bad].

SportsRe: BBC African Footballer of the Year 2005 by LoverBwoy(m): 3:37am On Dec 31, 2005
SOMEONE MENTION ...okocha is the main reason why we didnt go to the world cup!! FALSE ALARM!!! FALSE ALARM!!!

"ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS" WHY WE DIDNT QUALIFY WAS OVER-RELIANCE ON OLD AND INJURIED PLAYERS

we have footballers in abundance but we just want to stick with the over used 30/40 somethings!!

he was a very good player n even quit football...begged da country to look elsewhere but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
HE GETS...."okocha is doing big boy"

teddy sheringham, alan shearer, roy keane are in da same age group as okocha.even scholes, butt retired at 25plus.look elsewhere!!

Apparently the hotel accommodating the BUBA EAGLES HAVE SEIZED THEIR PASSPORT FOR NON PAYMENT !!!

THE thing i dnt get is that..... we experience this year in year out!!! and FAILURE to qualify for germany 2006 would start a new "due process" , early preparations and not underestimating opponent era!!!

As u rightly said it would get more embarrasing for us!

when u say something bad about the country all u hear is afterall its ur country why dnt u go back n do something! kmt like

BusinessRe: Online Banking Offerings by Nigerian Banks by LoverBwoy(m): 8:57pm On Dec 28, 2005
Hey People
i am very much interested in this as i have been trying to open an account in nigeria even though i am over here....am not a business user or anything just a personal savings account so when im goin 4 holiday i dnt have to start savin or carrying money around.....

I tried the online application for STB/UBA but i dint get a reply i was prompted to fill in another application form after several month which included details about my account here (UK)...account number n all whole shizzle....my passport numbers...house address..just seems somehow considering the fact it was "nigeria" ( very unfortunate)....

I asked my cousin to open an online savings ( virtual pal account STANDARD TRUST BANK) account in her own name on my behalf so that i can see the balance n even though i can transfer funds directly i will send da money from those agencies ..travelex,moneygramm....
AFTER anoher 3 weeks....when she got there ...the "CUSTOMER SERVICE/RECEPTION/CASHIER/MADAM.....said she has never heard of " virtual pal account"
and after another 2weeks another receptionist said they'll have to send da form which i emailed to my cousin from their website
to their head office which will take another 2 weeks as they dnt know about it in their branch....

just imagine after all this how much would i be able to save ?1?!

NFERYN...n fellow landers u seem to have done da research n passed da several beaurecracies...
basically i want to open an account in nigeria without obviously have to go their and show them my " drivers liecense" and "nepa bills"...which i will be able to view online, transfer funds to relatives from my nigerian account possibly to their account or pick up...
and if there is any that allows transfer of fund from an international /uk account

ComputersRe: Internet Cafe Prices in Nigeria by LoverBwoy(m): 8:26pm On Dec 28, 2005
its not really expensive cos over here i think is usually 50p-£1 per hour free use of webcam...
coping is cheap 5p...u can compare da price directly with foreign countries ...it very cheap here but hey every1 has internet access at home.....

if i go to nigeria i wont mind payin that much for a reliable service n fast 1 at that.....24hr electricity generator or no generator (quite ones)

remember the LOADING.......................... Loading..............LOADING.......loading days ..Thank God for internet broadband...the world is a smaller place wink
ComputersRe: Web Version of Yahoo, MSN and AOL Messenger by LoverBwoy(m): 7:59pm On Dec 28, 2005
I think the lastdon is just trying to say that when signin up for free email and what hav u online,.... u dnt necessarily have to put your real details.like i see some people even on nairaland with their home address ...cheesy includin da number n street...typical Nigeria..thats why i love nigerian university they teach u very well!!

My main question is da EFCC aspect...do they actually catch people in nigeria doing  "yahoo" ??
