Mike Ezeruonye I have never met, though I have met Anumudu once, through a friend who worked for him, and he seemed to be a real gentleman. That guy sounded brash and I felt it was just not right to dismiss others with terms such as 'inconsequential'. |

Ilovemystate: international supermodel Oluchi Onweagba
(born August 1, 1982) is a model. who grew up in the suburbs of Lagos, Nigeria with her two brothers and sisters. She is the daughter of a civil servant father and mother who was a nurse. When Onweagba was 16 years old, she won the “Face Of Africa” contest. In August 2005, she married her longtime companion, Italian fashion designer Luca Orlandi. Onweagba’s first name comes from the Igbo language and means “God’s Work”. She was urged by a family friend to enter into the M-Net “Face of Africa” preliminary screening at the M-Net office in Victoria Island, Lagos. The agency groomed her to be one of Nigeria’s entrants for the 1998 competition (now called the Nokia Face of Africa). This despite the fact that, growing up, she had maintained a relative ignorance towards fashion and modeling, but with the support of her family and friends, she decided to compete in the inaugural edition of the Face of Africa in 1998. This was the first-ever continent-wide model competition, organized by the South African channel M-Net in collaboration with Elite Model Management. She won the competition. She was just seventeen years old. Elite Model Management awarded Onweagba a three-year modeling contract. After moving to New York City, where she still lives, Onweagba graced the covers of Italian Vogue, i-D, ELLE, Untold, and Surface; she also was featured in Nylon, Marie Claire, Allure, and other national editions of Vogue around the world. She became the face of campaigns for Gianfranco Ferré, Gap, Express, Banana Republic, and Ann Taylor, as well as working for Victoria’s Secret. Onweagba’s runway experience has been with John Galliano, Christian Dior, Costume National, Chanel, and Giorgio Armani, amongst others, in London, Milan, Tokyo and Paris. She has worked with such notable photographers as Steven Meisel, Nick Knight, and Patrick Demarchelier. Ndi Anambra welu nu nwayo nasi asi. lolz. Oluchi Onweagbe is from my town in Abia State (close relative) ; infact am quite close to her father Pls check your facts properly. |

I think harrysong was right about it. AFTER THE GALA,WE GO STILL SHARE ANOTHER GALA. Lolz. I guess our taste buds have been galafied from childhood that other sausages taste very crusty. |

That line about the bespectacled pygmy had me in stitches. LWKMD. Honestly the Kaduna State APC was being too over-zealous in its reported attempt to expel Senator Shehu Sani, I mean the man is entitled to his own opinion on the fuel subsidy removal issue. Let us not through our servile like attitude create a monster for ourselves as we need to dissent to whomsoever if the need calls for it. I remember a Chinese proverb that says: 'Tyrants are not born, but are created by the servile (servant like) attitude of their underlyings (subjects). |

soltry9x: eruptn of vesuvius didn't wipe submerge only pompeii, stadie n 1 oda city were submerged by d lava n also titanic was neva d largest, olympus was bigger even then History is a great teacher. Mount Vesuvius was that Mountain where Spartacus displayed his very strategic military mind by getting Gannecus and others to descend down a very steep and virtually impossible mountain side to defeat Legatus Glabber, the Roman Soldier who had laid a siege against them at the bottom of the mountain. I never knew Pompeii was in the sight of mount Vesuvius; I thought its was the city of Naples that was closer to it as Argron and other warriors had gone there to free slaves from a berthed Ship to join in their cause. |

It is a decision the Government had to make at the end of the day, but where I fault the policy is the Minister's continued harping on how private individuals can source funds to import PMS; a better policy initiative would have been to give incentives to Nigerians who wish to build local refineries within the next two years, that way the need to source foreign exchange to import fuel will not be necessary |

2. Show us all the positive impact of the SURE-P, 2012 partial removal of subsidy made in the lives of Nigerians , from 65-97..(or we have all forgotten all the promises of "palliatives" that didnt see the light of day and only made some cronies richer? You are right that deregulation is the way to go in order to boost local refining capacity; however asking that wages should rise to meet demand for petrolum products, housing, food etc without taking care to ensure that there is adequate supply, of say housing, and other commodities, will cause the rent of houses, cost of foodstuff to go beyond the reach of the ordinary man. |

Lolz. I had a very similar experience, once, when my wifey put to bed. The single sales girls in the Supermarket were chuckling to themselves over the fact that I asked for LadySept Sanitary pad; it took the intervention of their lady Supervisor, who probable was married with kids, to restore some quiet to the place as she explained to them that women who were just delivered of babies need them urgently. My dignity was restored through the Supervisor, but the next time there was need for it, I sent my Sister, lol. |
