Politics › Re: Throwback Photos Of Ghanaians Being Deported From Nigeria In 1983 by lozanni(m): 11:02am On Feb 25, 2016
eyesofgod:
To the best of my knowledge. Ghanaians were well treated by Nigerians wlhile their stay lasted. The disposition of Rawlings as HOS in Ghana helped in this regard.

The common man had no beef with them. It is the ineffectual Shagari's regime that used them as scape goats.
You are right. Some of the Ghanaians that were to be deported were housed in the present Passport Office in Festac Town, then The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) were usuing that place as their Border Patrol Office. Due to over-crowding and inadequate feeding some of the illegal Aliens were fainting; this caused Festac Residents living around there to mobilise food-stuffs, water, medication etc to help the poor ones affected.

You killed someone for insulting your Girlfriend, not even your wife. You will pay the prize. Before you come back from prison. That girl would been married to someone else.
The guy had murder on his mind all the time, by carrying a knife around. Aint no coming back from the hangman's noose.

I'm won't condone what the man did but when you are angry, you an aren't thinking, one fatal punch to her head might have killed her. To cheat on your spouse, is the greatest betrayal on the face of the earth.
This is a crime of passion, the guy must have lost his mind. I guess he will be charged for manslaughter, as it was not pre-meditated murder.
The woman in her next existence will know it can be fatal to stand in the way of a cuckold husband.

You are right, in a way, because dionysus was the Greek god of wine, while Bacchus, which was copied from dionysus, was the Roman god of wine and agriculture.

Our people and poor dress-sense. They were evening gowns to church, bum-shorts to banks etc, places were you should be formally dressed to.
Even Beyounce whom they are emulating, usually dresses in smart Skirt-Suits when attending formal engagements. Smh.
Family › Re: The Amazing Transformation Of The Abandoned Nigerian "Witchcraft" Child by lozanni(m): 9:08pm On Feb 16, 2016
dealslip:
Wickedness reigns in Nigeria. How can anyone accuse this little child of witchcraft. We would go to any length to defend our religion. But the very essence of the religion which is Love, we neglect.
Infact cold-hearted wickedness with unfounded superstitious belief.
How can a father or mother abandon a two year old child to cold, hunger and unknown danger for eight months huh? Each time I read this story, tears come to my eyes.
Akwa Ibom,Cross Rivers States Government,NGOs' and Churches have very, very big roles to play in ridding their peoples mind of superstitious belief about witchcraft in the lives of their children.
Car Talk › Re: Innoson Motors Spotted At The National Assembly Complex (See Photos) by lozanni(m): 7:21pm On Feb 15, 2016
joborskill:
I still don't trust these products going by the antecedents of easterners at producing most things with low standard materials. I won't be surprised if these cars pack up in maximum of 2years. Its better to stick to foreign cars that we've tested and trusted. There are other ways to grow the economy than put Nigerian lives at risk all because an Igbo man is desperate to make money. The senate needs to ban innoson for now undecided undecided
Your envy is just too obvious !
Why do we like to cut our noses in order to spite our faces.
Charity begins at home, lets use the Innoson vehicles, if they prove to be strong and durable then it will be a big boost for other African countries to use them. In the end they will be tagged as"Nigerian Cars" and not "Igbo Cars".
I expected you to urge the Automotive Council to conduct safety and durability tests on the cars, with a view to assisting Innoson motors to build world class cars and not attempting to throw, out the baby with the bath water from your suggestions.
I urge you to read the history of Japan to find out how, after the second world war, the kind of products they were producing then and how they became the laughing stock of the world then, but today nobody is laughing at them anymore because American Airforce Jets etc depend on Japanese electronnic systems to fly, Japanese cars are regarded as among the best in the world, with the mostly widely used cars, Toyota brand, being from there.
We need to learn personal lessions from the above not to despise small beginnings.
Nairaland General › Re: Car Kills Mechanic At Obalende Bridge (graphic Pic) by lozanni(m): 5:29pm On Feb 14, 2016
Obalende bridge again?
Last time it was a LAWMA official going about her lawful duties who was knocked off the bridge by a speeding vehicle, and now an innocent pedestrian.
I suggest the FRSC should monitor the speed of vehicles on that bridge, introduce breath-analyser test to arrest drunk motorists and also stop pedestrians from walking on the bridge too.

That is ehn, pure wickedness.lol.

The kid held down by force is that way because he was not introduced early enough to the tootbrush.
If the parents had bought tootbrush with cartoon characters like mickey mouse or Barney, which kids love a lot, when the boy was about six months old, the child would have gotten used to it by the time he is about 2 years old or less.
Health › Re: Help My Palms Have Been Tearing For Years by lozanni(m): 11:05pm On Feb 09, 2016
Clone2020:
Bros there's a reason why the white man created Google and WebMD but instead you chose to ask your health question on nairaland which has officially turned to a blog site attracting the 12-19yr old demographic. As you can see some folks above me suggested you have Lassa fever and i'm very sure some others after me will say you have Ebola or even Zika virus.

A simple Google search for "peeling palm" would've shown you results for something called "Exfoliative keratolysis" which is a skin disorder resulting in peeling palms and soles. You should read more about it but it says you can control the symptoms with topical steroids. At the end of the day only a certified dermatologist can really tell you what's going on cuz many disorders have similar manifestations.
I dey tell you.
Thank goodness that the 12-19 years old on NL are attributing it to only Lassa Fever; I thought one of them would have said; "Na winch dey take your hand fry Akara for midnight".Lol.
Seriously, a certified dermatologist can help the Op solve his hand problem.

RIP to the dead.
Those undertaking journies of more than 75km should make sure they have good tyres and not worn out ones that can burst when exerted to heat due to the long distance travelled.
Also, when a tyre bursts on high speed, the driver of such vehicle should not march the brake at such moment as doing so can cause the vehicle to somersault, but rather should guide the vehicle gently until it runs out of speed, then he can apply the brakes.
Education › Re: Riot In Afe Babalola University, Ekiti (Photos) by lozanni(m): 6:01pm On Feb 08, 2016
AikayDaWrapper:
That is completely wrong information. the only rule in the skl is that all colleges should have a touch of a particular color. For example an engineering student should have a shade of green on whatever outfit he/she wears to class. and the rule isn't that strict even.
It is not completely wrong information, but partially correct. When you are trying to enforce a colour code, thats almost like forcing a particular form of clothing on students.
What if am an Engineering student and I dont have any green clothing? A vindictive lecturer can ask me to leave his class. Smh.
Education › Re: Riot In Afe Babalola University, Ekiti (Photos) by lozanni(m): 11:43am On Feb 08, 2016
This riot had always being waiting to happen.
From what I gather, students in the University are made to wear school uniforms and can be punished, like secondary students, for minor misdemeanours.
The above treatment of young adults like little children might have triggered the above response, because even at home, when a child reaches about 17 years, you no longer flog or physically punish the child, but appeal to their sensibilities through strong warnings or any form of financial deprivation.
Madonna,University and others like her should take note.
Sports › Re: Oliseh Flees Nigeria, Accuses Staff Of Witchcraft by lozanni(m): 11:23am On Feb 08, 2016
Oliseh, Fish no go dey water make im no dey wet. Our people are naturally into Voodoo, am surprised he is just realising this, maybe because he has never really worked in the country before.
No wonder a certain Prophet said Oliseh needs spiritual back-up if he is to succed as Super Eagles Coach.
Abeg Oliseh go see TB Joshua or the Omega Ministries Pastor at Auchi before they dismantle you or pluck out all the wings of the Super Eagles, spiritually, so that you will always be very ill and the Eagles will be unable to fly to victory.
