Haha funny Nigerian administrators, Ok nuclear energy abi? So we would have Russian technocrats everywhere and import Uranium or Plutonium to run the reactors that we may in our usual lack of maintenance culture abandon to cause a humongous disaster someday? Hydroelectricity we haven't optimally utilised. We let trillion cubic feet of associated natural gas flare yearly in the Niger Delta from crude oil production and we have not thought of harnessing this. We have quickly forgotten that power generation is just half of the problem. Power transmission is the other half except we have power plants in every metropolis. Haha funny Nigerian administrators, |
I took the pains to read through the whole transcript but only once. IBB is just a cunning doublespeak champion. Every time June 12 discussions come up he starts to give one-line answers that convey very little meaning. Since Nigeria is lawless enough to let a man who institutionalised corruption (and many other looters) walk free why won't they insult our common intelligence by wanting to rule us again? This guy called IBB has nothing positive to offer this country. |
This is life, people break up to make up. There's always more strength in unity. 'Waiting to listen to the track. |
I was the staunchest Mikel fan at the WYC in Netherlands when he was revealed. You could see all the potentials oozing from the guy. To come 2nd after Messi as best player of the tournament is not a joke. If Mikel had developed as he should he would have been like Michael Ballack in his heydays. But look what my fav. Chelsea have turned him to, I am sorry Mikel has not developed to his full potentials even though he may be doing averagely well. It is about potentials and that is what Siasia who was his youth coach is referring to. That kid was supposed to be a footballing genius. |
Idomas are not Igbos and do not share similar ancestry. Your observations of similar names are due to intermingling and intermarriage. Idomas are related to the Igalas, Egbira and Jukun people. Over time due to the areas where the Idoma have settled and their overly welcoming nature (farmer traits) the southern / western Idoma parts have mixed with Nsukka natives. Similarly, there are Idomas grading into Ogoja speakers at the Boundary with Cross Rivers State, and some tribes central to Nassarawa in the more northern parts of Idoma land. Sharing ancestry with the Igalas vs the Igbos for example is not a plus neither is it a loss. It is just nice to have a clear understanding of these facts. |
sizzlers:Not true. They are mutually exclusive processes that may trigger each other. If you do not have a magma chamber beneath the surface you cannot get a volano. Similarly earthquakes are due to earth plates readjusting themselves by stress release at the plate boundaries and do not need volcanoes to reach their stress thresholds. |
Hey 2baba is by far more talented and it was obvious from the different styles / techniques he employed. There's a certain depth that always comes across when 2Face sings. You can almost argue he isn't Nigerian sometimes, sounds Jamaican, American, South African etc etc. He reminds me of Damian Marley sometimes, oozing talent. Don't get me wrong, DBanj try wella. The song was tailored to fit Dbanj better but 2Baba still impressed 'cos he's more versatile. |
eros:Good Point. How much can one rely on Honda Place or some other high end service centers to maintain a well cared for Acura vehicle (esp 2008 ish) in Lagos / Abuja. In other words can a Honda technician work comfortably on an Acura? |
viperman:TOUCHE! |
If you're comfy enuff to mention theses SUVs then the FX35 is most reasonable as its more durable, more luxurious, better performance but more expensive than the Murano. Range Rover is for MEN! Go figure. Btw guys Between a Landrover LR2 and an Acura MDX (both 2008 models) which would you recommend generally for use in Naija? |
Nigeria is better off if GEJ doesn't contest but conducts free and fair elections. Ribadu, Fashola etc etc will emerge by popular vote! |
Guys this sectarian discussion is leading nobody no where. The present issues are we have elections coming up and aspirants are emerging. Let's talk about why Ojukwu would support IBB again. I would be glad to be educated in that regarded. People have not realised that fuel queues are a thing of recent past thanks to GEJ. Power sector is getting reorganised hopefully for better. Some might argue that these are ploys to deceive us into supporting (or voting) for GEJ. This is a healthier form of deception at worst. Except you do not believe that Nigeria should remain as one please drop the sectarianism on these threads to enhance the communication value of the discussions on this and other threads. |
Solidarity Terry G. Free Him. Welcome back to Ginger and Swagger |
This thread is irrelevant. Tubaba has no match. 'Dunno why this is an issue sef |
kabukabu:I sure say na wrapper u tie dey criticise men lmao. Anyway enjoy ur modern chic oh lol |
I'm sowey ladies, I've been struggling with coming to terms with this whole modern day era (where God does not exist, according to) and the modern day romance (two men abi na two women dey pretend to date) Modern day chics are men wannabees, (I hope my gf doesn't see this, lol) They wanna sleep, talk, play and fight like men. The only difference is men don't go around looking for d largest wallets and biggest dicks. We appreciate the big bossoms/front and fleshy lips downsouth but no be must. Once again my apologies, lol ![]() |
JOHN OBI MIKEL Age: 23 Last season: 25 apps, 1 assist. Best position: Central midfield Strength: Technique Versatility: Average - plays best in the middle. Ancelotti arrived last year and immediately eyed Mikel for the 'Andrea Pirlo role' at the base of his midfield. The Nigerian didn't fully take to the task, however, proving not quite up to scratch in the crucial area of tackling (which is arguably more important in the Premier League than Serie A). The Italian might return to that experiment this season, but unless injuries hit in key areas again he might spend much of the time on the bench. Verdict: Rotator Will get his fair share of games, but unlikely to be on Ancelotti's list when it comes to the important clashes. http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2010/08/13/2069539/debate-where-will-ramires-slot-in-alongside-chelseas For his talents Mikel has performed below par since he joined my beloved Chelsea. I honestly think he could have matured better under Sir alex. Just being honest. |
Isn't this vehicle low for Nigerian roads? RWD Ground Clearance: 6.5 inches AWD Ground Clearance: 5.7 inches I guess it will make more sense in Abuja than Lagos |
Hello James. I need an apartment on that Reeve towers area. Looking at early next year. Let me know if you get something. Cheers |
Insur. Mail my inbox make we yarn. If possible add pics so that we can carry on from there I'm not in country at the moment fullmentalfloss@yahoo.com |
Great opinions. Thanks. While the Porsche is d most interesting of the lot, I really wonder how many Nigerian mechanics can actually change a part in this vehicle even if I import the part. Not to imagine buying parts in Nigeria. The Acura MDX seems to be the most practical at the moment. There might even be a chance of getting servicing and parts from some of the higher-end Honda dealers and service stores around. The downside so far is the recommended use of "Premium Fuel", Any way around this issue? Any and all opinions are welcome. |
Thats a fair point. One other issue with the MDX is the recommended premium fuel requirements. I think Nigerian fuels would have an octane rating similar to American regular 87 or so. Premium is 91. I've heard about certain fuel additives but I need to be clarified on that. How will this affect the MDX engine performance and longevity in Nigeria? |
I think the MDX is great too. I wonder if Honda dealerships in Naija can also stock parts / assist with its maintenance. The way Toyota handles Lexus. |
This isn't even a big deal, He has the right to price his intellectual property as he deems fit. If you can only pay N150 for a CD priced at N1K then its obviously not for you. I will buy this CD at that price cos I like the "Only Me" & "Implication" video and song respectively. Moreover we owe it to ourselves to encourage ppl who try to improve things in this country. The pirates you support with their N150 CDs are part of what's wrong with this country. |
Btw u are allowed to suggest other SUVs. I considered the Toyota FJ Cruiser which I think is made for 'Nigerian roads' but I struggle to imagine how I can withstand its exterior look and very base interior for more than 6 months. I am surprised we don't see the Lexus RX models in Nigeria since they are closest to being the midsize SUV with the most value for money here in the states. |
Guys help me out with this one. I am in the states and looking to import one of these SUV for my personal use in Lagos. Which would you advise base on performance reliability fuel requirements (RON etc) maintenance (cost & mechanic issues lol) etc Technical details are welcome |
You guys left out Terry G? Aye Po Gan is one of the best beats to ever come out of Naija in their genre. I can't wait for a Tuface song produced by Terry G. Free Me!!! |
Simple answer- NO |
Haven't met a lot of you in Lag. esp. d ladies. How do we get to know our kind now? drop me a mail fullmentalfloss@yahoo.com |
