asha 80:ill break it down so u ll understand, if you serve a country faithfully and honestly up untill your retirement, what kind of pension package do you deserve as a former governor? second,go and check the pension package of nigerian governors, especially niger state bearing in mind they dont have the sort of moral intergrity barkin zuwo had. for you if your parents are not in power, well they dont deserve the pension a former governor will deserve will they? you get the reasoning now? Mr Tpia:dont worry,we dont have the same problem the man has because we were all adequately taken care of,second speaking with all humility my father and his wives are not poverty ridden neither have we ever had cause to beg for anyone's charity, so what has my own life got to do with the man's? the point i am making is that,it is not anybody's concern how many wives or children the man has,all we should be concerned about is if the man deserves more, and if he does should be given to his family to share whichever way they want, even if he has 1000 children, how many governors and former senators do you know who died leaving just one single property?not in abuja or lagos but his home state iReport:hmmmn, seems you have not been to obj farms before, ask anyone that has been there, that is not counting the landed properties obj had in lagos, this is not a comparison of how much they stole, but the fact that in the midst of all these people looting, the man didnt as evidenced in his worldly property when he died namely a single house, that kind of man should not only be commended for his honesty but his family should be rewarded adequately with a proper pension for life, this is not just to appreciate him and his honesty, but as a role model for upcoming politicians in his part of nigeria and the next generation |
asha 80:the point you should ponder on is irrespective of how many wives and children, was the former governor's children and wives treated fairly? if your answer is that they were, and that he shouldnt be ""whinning"then i guess your assertion will justify and vindicate the likes of ibb, ibori atiku and co because they dont want to end up in the same situation right? |
iReport:i beg your pardon, obj stole massively, apart from the operation feed the nation which he used to apportion farmlands to himself, that was before umaru dikko, awolowo stole hence the reason he was a multi millionaire with choice properties in ikoyi e.t.c and shares in coca cola bottling company, including others hence the reason why how many wives and children the man had isnt an issue at all,as that was his personal choice/life even the managing director of a private company deserves a generous pension and a proper property including other benefits talk less of a whole state, |
no,GOD will not reveal a particular man to you,you are a child of GOD and you are entitled to exactly the kind of man you want, however you should pray concerning any man you meet and the lord will guide you into his real intentions plus your own common sense as well if im allowed to use that word i.e his mannerrisms, personality, little stuffs about him e.t.c dont let any supposed man or woman or boy or girl of GOD deceive you into thinking you cant marry a particular person or u will marry a particular person, theres a bible verse to back up my asserion which i can dig up for you if u want |
davidylan:dude, sometimes i wonder at the way we nigerians reason at times, irrespective of the fact that he worked for it or not, his father being a former senator and governor who served this country honestly and consientiously for many years deserves much more than his children and wives are getting now. why are you pouring vitriol on the man, would you rather hail ibori and ibb's progenitors instead? in case you r not getting it,the point here is that the man was honest enough not to steal the state blind and to accept ghana must go s and the result is his children living in abject poverty, that should be the issue any objective individual will and should be concerned about and not how many wives or children he left behind, sucessive governors after him who stole the state blind and sucessive senators dont need to go on newspapers asking for help because they have stolen enough to last them, their multiple wives and children,so whats yur point |
Pataki:guess it depends on what area of essex, grays is certainly bad same as dagenham, barking, purfleet and surrounding areas, only been to northampton once and never again lol |
hmmmnnn a bunch of IFS and ifs , assumptions and suppositions just to justify one's arguments, |
lol this will be a massive shame for yar adua if they dont win the re run, maybe they know what we dont anyway lol what im still stumped abt is the president a country with more than 150million people leaving the country's affairs to campaign in a random state governorship re run,not even a full election. whichever way it goes@the end of the day,it ll make for an interesting election re-run, tinubu and the ac gladiators on one hand ,the whole of the nigerian cabinet and the pdp gladiators on the other |
OMO IBO:of course they will, they both have equal powers and can leverage each other both financially and politically plus where dangote surpasses otedola in monetary terms, otedola by nature surpasses dangote in smartness and business savvy, i v met the man twice before before he became loaded and trust me otedola will do business and hang out with a 10 years old if there is money to be made,he will even allow you to put your legs on his head lol all im waiting for is for otedola to massively flood the market with any of dangote's monopolies |
asha 80:yes it is and i mean literally |
Woolwich of all places. . . . . . .I would rather go to Afghanistan(Land-mine ridden area).
was passing through, and picking up a takeout, wouldnt go there as well, espesially since i was mugged at gunpoint 2 yrs ago by nigerian guys with guns Epiphany:yes o especially south east, east london and dagenham, barking, grays and most parts of essex nigerians in oshodi are better behaved than they are both male and female.go to the new developments where nigerians tend to live and you will see our people drying clothes and towels on balconies ![]() Pataki:i went there to pick up a takeaway at a nigerian restaurant and i didnt have enough money so i had to use the nearest atm,i dont hold more than 10pounds anytime im going to that area since i was mugged |
Falciparum:im sorry to say that is vintage nigerians for you,and it boils down to ego trips and manner of approach, watch/read people's comments very carefully and it ll tell u a lot about their personality and if you need to avoid them or engage them in discourses |
this is really shameful and embarassing, this is the reason i avoid east london and south east london like a plague ridden area, was using an atm machine in woolwich area about 3 summers ago,and saw this woman without a top backing a child with rubber slippers and speaking to someone really loud on the phone and i just covered my face in shame |
@poster i dont see what the whole controversy is about, jide kosoko says he produced the first movie asirinla and the other guy didnt dispute that, all he said in his retort was that living in bondage was more popular and accepted that asiri nla and that was why people tended to identify with living in bondage as the first nollywood movie,in my own personal opinion both of them are right so stop stoking up tribal sentiments |
OMO IBO:this time around, the average nigerians will be the better for it,already people who r lucky would have bought ap shares cheap when dangote manipulated it,hopefully otedola will underut him by importing excess commodities, and cement making them cheap as chips |
yes but it takes a whole lot of cleaning, care, risks e.t.c we have a private not for profit catfish pond and at times the guy that takes care of it will come with like ten big fish all floating without any prior signs of sickness, also i think it has to be cleaned fairly regularly, feeding and medicals are expensive so i wonder how ppl who do it as a business actually make money off it |
now this is getting reallly interesting, if i was as loaded as otedola tho,ill hit him where it hurts by ferrying a large shipload of cement, sugar and massively undercutting him,he can afford to absorb the loss |
i dont think there was much wrong with the adoption process itself, the judge must have succumbed to and allowed the western media to becloud and influence his judgement, the girl herself is not the only issue here, but the impact madonna's celebrity status will bring to improving the country's situation and disadvantaged children, already it has been reported that madonna has used her clout to raise millions of poundsfor children in malawi and knowing how fickle and ego driven celebrities are,if she loses interest, then they will certainly be the worse for it and not her,as there are other african countries who will gladly allow her to adopt and the media will switch off from them as quickly as madonna does. my sister adopted a total of 4 children from nigeria and she wasnt required to stay any amount of time in nigeria after they considered all the other conditions she had met, which is what they should have considered as they are not seriously expecting her to put the welfare of her other children on hold for one child |
who or what did he finish? whoever wrote that is simply stating his own side of the argument, and this isnt a balanced article at all, anyone reading all that rubbish will invariably conclude that ghananians are innocent, law abiding timid people that nigerian gargoyles have invaded and corroded their very existence and culture,of course obanikoro is right in defending his country after all that is his major prerogative there, are they expecting him to denounce nigeria and nigerians for ghana? if he was being honest,he would have admitted that ghananians have been one of the prime culprits in using nigerian passports to commit all sorts of fraudulent acts, just because it was so easy to get before. also contrary to what is being reported everywhere, while the ghana elections was better than nigerias, they had thugs and violence,my point being they r not as innocent and peaceloving as the man is painting them, and right now by the sheer economic/financial activities nigerians have brought to ghana, they certainly need us more than we need them |
bawomolo:like i said earlier, you are being overly simplistic about the problems, will any parent willingly wake up and decide he/she was tired of having their children stay with them, and decide to give the child/children away to almajiri?? in case you didnt realise, not even considering the religious aspect of it,and looking at churches as a purely sociological entity, they have been helping tremendously in keeping nigerians in check, they t least offer hope which is a massive catalyst in keeping the average nigerian going, can you imagine if the millions in the monthly holy ghost service and mountain of fire decide they have had enough?? you think the country wont go down in flames? its so easy to say nigerians are at fault, while totally ignoring the fundamental issues fuelling the problems after all, they are an easy target bawomolo:in other words, you are advocating that they should square up to authorities at the risk of getting shot, imprisoned while you and i are leaning back abroad?nothing makes us different from ukraine or lebanon, and nothing is stopping us from having a revolution,if nigerians in the diaspora are ready to put their money where their mouth is,im sure you know so much about these revolutions, imagine how much enthusiasm you will bring to the people if you can stand shoulder to shoulder with the average conductor, panel beater farmer in realisation of the revolution, that is the difference between nigeria and these other countries, while diasporians from these countries including pakistan were prepared to go through anything including suicide bombing for their country, are you ready to up and buy a delta airlines ticket(one way) to nigeria and settle in the trenches? revolution is so easy to call for when we are sat in the comfort of our heated living rooms using a smooth runnning computer, withelectricity, food, health e.t.c not being an issue the oligarchs and fifth columnists, who have the life and soul of the country in their hands produce the bad leaders, and nigerians have no choice in the matter as presently constituted, however i have not made my views a secret on where i think nigerians in general both diasporians and in nigeria have their own faults ,and where they have erred |
blacksta:i tire o, |
bawomolo:not from mars but near enough, considering the same set of of people have been ruling and have had their strangle hold on power ever since i was born. adedibu wasnt born into an aristocratic family though his mum was rich,he simply took advantage of a void left by the govt namely sociological welfare of the ibadan people, hence the reason they felt like they owe him an obligation,so its not as simplistic as you r making it look,if it was that easy, why did arisekola drive these same people away when they approached him to do the same thing for them. i have written this severally on here, why would you blame the average nigerian for being cautiously cynical or reluctant, with the level of deception and dissappointment suffered in the hands of supposed leaders/activists? we are all here when keyamo,a supposed freedom fighter was accused of all sorts, same as ozekhome, smart adeyemi e.t.c who have used the average nigerian to further their careers and then abandoned them in the lurch |
right on cue,i trust you to put your oar in,as soon as you sighted the topic was concerning a yoruba man,i bet you ll march in the thread double pistols blazing if anyone had dared to call ojukwu or any ibo eminent individual all these names |
bawomolo:well, check out how long they have had an unfettered and uninterrupted democracy in india, also the blue print for the present china as we know it,im not justifying the present rot in our leadership, but im saying the average nigerian doesnt have a chance. @us and we know how they managed to turn their deficit round, the blood on their hands and that time of the century e.t.c texazzpete:the fact of the matter is that, they either break the rules, offer bribes e.t.c or run the risk of being frustrated by intentional bureaucratic barriers placed there to teach them a lesson |
ziddy:lmao @bolded @post kudos to the fashman,t least after the tourney, the lagos state health service will have unfettered use of an air ambulance option as opposed to the present scenario where even multi billionaires dont have the option in an emergency, nigerians and their unbridled cynicism ![]() |
@banom im really sorry for your loss, its obvious you r beyond redemption |
the average nigerian refusing to accept hand outs/bribes for voting, and even if they do,dissappoint the bribe givers by voting their conscience all the same. by voting credible candidates in overwhelming numbers making it really difficult for inec to fiddle with numbers, if a pdp candidate is behind by a few tens of thousands, the onus will be on him/her to seek help from inec and that ll be easy for an inec official to do, but if he/she is behind by a few hundreds of thousands, then that l be so obvious that the inec official will be helpless. altruistic political leaders who can inspire and serve as a catalyst for change |
the causes are legion amongst which are cautious optimism/cynicism as a result of years of disappointment,no opportunities to achieve their full potential and lack of credible leadership, total lack of patriotism and sense of belonging,to mention just a few reasons, the individual brilliance comes into play, when you know that there is no safety net, like is obtained in welfare oriented countries like the united kingdom,Sweden e.t.c remember the popular saying, necessity is the mother of invention |
why should they reveal themselves if they have chosen not to,not everyone likes courting attention in the public domain. the pastor doesnt travel 365days in a year, also his travel schedule will in no way disturb these guy's business as its a matter of priort arrangements, how do charter services do it?same way they will as well why should a private and classified document(to the owners anyway)be shown to the public, when they are not under any compulsion to do so?they are neither using public funds or church funds to purchase the jet . a jet as collateral,is different from buying a kabukabu as collateral,if you buy the right jet with the right engine configurations e.t.c like the original article has expoused, you will secure a very good second hand value, besides i am sure you have heard of a "commercial mortgage"where a bank lends you money to buy a business premises. maybe the details do not add up,because you have a pre concieved mindset of his guilt so would you rather he gave the church funds away to prove they are frugal and not elitist? buying a 4 billion private jet with church funds and 5 members of the reedemed church paying a downpayment on a jet to be used for business purposes and extending the "priviledge" to their general overseer to have free rides on it are two enormously different kettle of fish, and im sure the reason the man hasnt responded to these issues is because of how preposterous it sounds to him |
asha 80: asha 80:there u go,you have gone halfway in answering your own questions |
its akunyili's fault again that the various vc s cant take care of their universities?? hope this rebranding exercise will not cause another thing, lol @post really sad,and wish the various vcs will just get off their collective backsides and take pro active actions to stem and eradicate this menance, the government provides them with funds and they have the tacit support of the police so they have no excuse, besides they have university security and intelligence which is really easy in infilltrating and arresting cult members on campus!! |
and the drama, nollywood movie, soap opera continues, we shall overcome |
