I am not really gobsmacked by Soludo’s present utterances. Prof. is an intelligent, but arrogant fellow. If I remember correctly, circa 2014-2015, Prof. Soludo was criticizing people left and right, including Dr. Okonjo-Iwuala. Prof. Soludo should tread softly, a few months from now, his accomplishment or otherwise as the Governor of Anambra State would be under serious scrutiny.

This poster is unbelievable, I kept shaking my head while reading his posts. The idea of Nigeria generating electricity from nuclear reactors is nothing but an epic delusion. Can you imagine that no nuclear power plant exists in the whole of Western Canada? Why, one might ask? Nuclear power plants are prohibited in some of the provinces in Western Canada because they are damn too risky to manage. Secondly, it is way cheaper and safer to generate electricity from hydro (dams)!

It's hilarious that the Nigerian government that lacks efficient solid waste management plan for major cities in the country is thinking of nuclear power plants These folks in government should realize that managing liquid waste and spent fuel rods from nuclear plants is no small task. What you wrote is actually incorrect. By the time the two Japanese cities were nuked, the Japs were 95% vanquished (by the US forces in and outside Japan and Russian forces in Manchuria, China). However, given the strong Samurai belief of the Japanese soldiers, they refused to surrender despite the fact that Japan has lost almost everything. IF the error-ridden syntax in your post reflects your educational pedigree, then I give up. This is because you’re not in a position to criticize anybody. Imagine the pot calling the kettle black! Analogous to your argument, it is expected that a person with “an academic pedigree” should be mindful of their written communication, irrespective of the formality or informality of the setting.

Moreover, your feeble attempt to link English language skills with the acquisition of a PhD degree or academic excellence is too pedestrian to warrant a detailed response. For your information, while a good, written communication skill is desirable, there are still some engineering professors/graduates with limited capabilities. It’s amusing when you say that Sen. Ekweremadu has a pedigree/polished and Mr. Peter Obi has none. First, both men graduated from the University of Nigeria. However, while Mr. Obi became actively involved in business as you mentioned, Sen. Ekweremadu was a local lawyer. Sen. Ekweremadu’s greatest accomplishment prior to his political elevation by former Governor Chimaroke Nnamani is an appointment as a local government chairman.

Moreover, while Mr. Obi has attended courses at many renown universities across the world, Ekweremadu’s Phd award from the University of Abuja while serving as a senator is what it is…a joke. His professorial appointment nko? Laughable at best. Indeed, there is no basis for comparing Sen.
