You dont obtain a Ph.d and not know how to communicate properly in English. you dont obtain a Ph.d without being challenged intellectually. A pass degree is a certificate of attendance for all intents and purpose, what we call "let my people go". A pass degree is not a honours degree, nobody will employ you or admit you to a master's degree with a pass degree, it is a degree with no honours. You tell a man's pedigree not by the superficial but by things only the discerning know. it is not always about the school you attend. A bush man who goes to havard is still a bush man. It’s amusing when you say that Sen. Ekweremadu has a pedigree/polished and Mr. Peter Obi has none. First, both men graduated from the University of Nigeria. However, while Mr. Obi became actively involved in business as you mentioned, Sen. Ekweremadu was a local lawyer. Sen. Ekweremadu’s greatest accomplishment prior to his political elevation by former Governor Chimaroke Nnamani is an appointment as a local government chairman.

Moreover, while Mr. Obi has attended courses at many renown universities across the world, Ekweremadu’s Phd award from the University of Abuja while serving as a senator is what it is…a joke. His professorial appointment nko? Laughable at best. Indeed, there is no basis for comparing Sen. Ekweremadu and Mr. Pete obi; while the former is a confirmed, self-centered opportunist that monopolized Enugu West Senatorial slot/other political appointments, the latter has a verifiable record of accomplishments. Didn’t you read about Sen. Ekweremadu’s recent attempt to truncate the rotational arrangement for governorship in Enugu State? A university lecturer under study leave is entitled for promotion during the course of his leave because study leave is equally a research so the acclaimed argument is invalid.
