My brother, my comments are based on my personal experience publishing and reviewing manuscripts in my field of research. Please, there are many home and diaspora-based Nigerian researchers publishing their studies in various science citation indexed journals across the world. Actually, I know quite a number of Nigeria based scholars’ who are world-renowned in their field! Let’s stop finding excuses for our people doing things wrongly. For now, methinks that Dr. Opeyemi is doing himself a great disservice by trying to use the media to blow his trumpet.

Finally, you hear "researchers from MIT or researchers from Harvard have proved” because these researchers from the aforementioned universities have humungous research fund and state-of-the-art facilities required for innovative studies! It has nothing to do with discrimination.

The attention a manuscript from LASU- Lagsos state university gets is not the same attention a manuscript from MIT- Massachusetts institute of science and technology gets. The earlier you accept this reality, the earlier you'll be nearer the truth.

In fact, the attention a research paper from USA, UK, Germany and a few other countries get is not the same attention a research paper from Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Sudan get.
