IslamDo Not Compare Yourself With Others! by Lukgaf(op): 9:29am On Aug 19, 2022
Brethren, do not compare yourself with others!

"
With the rise of social media, materialism and consumerism, the world is gripped by a desire to have everything instantly. Constantly desiring what others have can lead to feelings of low self-esteem and depression, especially when one cannot have what others have.

Allah Ta'ala says in the Noble Qur'an, “…And do not crave for what Allah has favoured some of you with over others.” (Surah An-Nisa – Verse 32)

Abu Hurairah (R) narrates that Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “Look at those who are less fortunate than you, not at those who are better off than you, as this will make you consider the bounties of Allah upon you to be insignificant.” (Muslim)

Ubaidullah bin Mushin Al Khitmi (R) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “One who wakes up in the morning and is safe in his dwelling, is in good health and has sufficient food for the day, it is as if the entire world has been given to him.” (Tirmizi)

Overindulgence in worldly pursuits is detrimental for our spirituality. It hardens the heart and detracts a person from good deeds. Living a life of extravagance and opulence leads to pride and arrogance. A Muslim should strive to be content with what Allah Ta'ala has decreed and exert oneself in accumulating good deeds instead of worldly possessions.

Let us be thankful for the bounties Allah Ta'ala has blessed us with and not compare ourselves to others. At times a person may be blessed with less of the world, but Allah Ta'ala grants that person much more contentment, peace and happiness than others."

IslamRe: How To Perform Tayammum (sand Ablution)? by Lukgaf(op): 9:20am On Aug 19, 2022
Is it permissible to say “Ash-hadu anlaa ilaaha illaLlaah wahdahu laa shareekalah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rosuuluh…” after making Tayammum?

Ustaadh Ibraaheem bn ‘Abdur-Rauf (hafidhohuLlaah) was asked this question and below is his response:

Where is the evidence? If you say yes, (then) where is the evidence? Because what he [the Prophet (sollaLloohu ‘alayhi wa sallam)] told ‘Ammaar Ibn Yaseer and ‘Umar Ibn al-Khottoob is that, “This (Tayammum) would be sufficient…” And he rubbed his hands and his face. They did not say after it (that) he said “Ash-hadu anlaa ilaaha illaLlaah…” So Allaah knows best. There is no any “Ash-hadu”. When you rub your hand and your face for your Tayammum, (you should) go. He didn’t say make “Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illaLlaah…” If you say “Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illaLlaah…”, it is simple; just ask where is the proof! That’s all. When you provide the proof it ends. And Allaah knows best.

IslamHow To Perform Tayammum (sand Ablution)? by Lukgaf(op): 9:10am On Aug 19, 2022
When there is no water, or you are not in a state you can use water for ablution (e.g, extreme cold and you can not get warm water), then Islam permits you to do Tayammum (sand ablution). Below from IslamQA summarises how to perform it.

Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated the hadeeth of ‘Ammar ibn Yasir describing tayammum. Al-Bukhari narrated it in a number of places in his Sahih. One of these reports (no. 347; 1/455 of Fath al-Bari) says: “ ‘It would have been sufficient for you to do this’ – then he struck the palms of his hands on the ground, then dusted them off, then wiped the back of each hand with the other, then he wiped his face with his hands.”

Abu Dawud (317; 1/515 of ‘Awn al-Ma’bud) narrated it with the same isnad as al-Bukhari, apart from the Shaykh of al-Bukhari (Muhammad ibn Salam), instead of whom he mentioned Muhammad ibn Sulayman al-Anbari, of whom al-Hafiz said in al-Taqrib (2/167): he is saduq (truthful). This version of the report says: “He struck his hands on the ground and dusted them off, then he struck his right hand with his left hand, and his left hand with his right hand, then he wiped his face.”

Al-Hafiz mentioned in al-Fath (1/457) that al-Ism’ili narrated it with the wording: “It would have been sufficient for you to strike your hands on the ground, then dust them off, then wipe your right hand over your left and your left hand over your right, then wipe your face.”

What should be wiped first in tayammum?
Al-Shanqiti said in Adwa’ al-Bayan (2/43):

“This hadith of al-Bukhari states that the hands should be wiped before the face.”

Shaykh al-Islam said in al-Fatawa (21/423):

“The report of al-Bukhari clearly shows that the back of the hand should be wiped before the face. The fact that in another report he said ‘the back of the hand’ indicates that he wiped the back of each with the palm of the other.” He also said (21/425: “But the report which was narrated only by al-Bukhari shows that he wiped the backs of the hands before the face.” (See al-Fatawa, 21/422-427)

Based on this, the way in which tayammum is done is to say Bismillah with the intention of doing tayammum , then strike the ground once with the palms of the hands, then wipe the back of the right hand with the palm of the left, and the back of the left hand with the palm of the right, then wipe the face with both hands. Then the same du'as that are recited after wudu’ should be recited after tayammum.

And Allah knows best.

In summary, this is what you should do!

1- Say Bismillah.
2- Strike the ground once with the palms of the hands.
3- Wipe the back of the right hand with the palm of the left, and the back of the left hand with the palm of the right.
4- Wipe the face with both hands.
5- Recite the same dua's that are recited after wudu.
IslamMarriage Contract: Verbal Or Written? by Lukgaf(op): 6:30am On Aug 19, 2022
Can the marriage contract be a verbal contract or must it be in writing ?

Praise be to Allah.

Writing down the contracts and agreements that people make among themselves is a way of confirming and formalizing them, but it is not a condition for the validity of the contract. The marriage contract may be made verbally by means of an offer on the part of the bride’s wali or guardian (e.g. “I marry my daughter to you”) and acceptance on the part of the groom (e.g. “I accept”). Writing it down is not a condition, but it does serve to document and confirm the contract, which is a good thing, especially nowadays. And Allaah is the source of help.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umnAgswp-j8

I started Program F4 in this episode with topics on Graphs from page 129, frame 1. I covered cartesian axes, products, and relations. Ultimately, according to the Program learning objectives, we should be able to construct a collection of ordered pairs of numbers against Cartesian axes and generate graphs at the end of the Program. So, in the next two episodes, I hope to cover asymptotes, discontinuities, graphs of inequalities, and how to use spreadsheets to draw Cartesian graphs of equations.

If you have a contact in France who can issue you a certificate.

2- New early slots have now been created and opened to book appointment within August.
If I’ve booked previously, u can’t reschedule .
What you’ll do is book a new appointment but add a zero to your passport number to allow you rebook appointment with the new released dates
It’s a valid vfs procedure
Thanks a lot waleMac. Sorry, meaning there is no free online reservation?

IslamEnvy (hasad) And How Its Evils Can Warded Off From The One Who Is Envied by Lukgaf(op): 6:38am On Aug 05, 2022
What is envy? its evils? How its evils can be warded off from the who is envied?
This thread provides answers to these questions

Praise be to Allah.

Firstly:

Envy (hasad) is resenting a blessing that Allah has bestowed upon the person who is the target of envy, and wishing that it be taken away. It is a vile and base characteristic, and it is a major sin.

The envier is the enemy of blessings, and this evil stems from the heart and nature of the envier. It is not something that he has acquired from elsewhere; Rather it is because his nafs is evil, in contrast to witchcraft, which happens by acquiring certain knowledge and seeking help from devilish spirits." (Badaa’i‘ al-Fawaa’id 2/458).

Secondly:

Envy does not change the decree of Allah, may He be exalted, at all, for nothing can ward off the divine decree except supplication (du‘aa’). So the one who fears the envy of the envier can seek protection from him and his evil by offering supplication, turning sincerely to Allah and putting his trust in Him.

Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

Envy is one of the characteristics of the Jews, and it is a major sin. It does not change anything of the decree of Allah, may He be glorified and exalted; rather it is a cause of sorrow and pain for the envier, and raises in status the one who is envied, especially if the envier transgresses against him, for Allah, may He be exalted, will wreak vengeance against the transgressor." (Fataawa Noor ‘ala ad-Darb 24/2).

Envy does not ward off the decree of Allah, and the one who fears anything of that may seek help against it by offering supplication, for that is what may put back the divine decree, as we have mentioned above.

Thirdly:

The evil of the envier may be warded off from the one who is envied in ten ways:

1. Seeking refuge with Allah, may He be exalted, from his evil.

2. Fearing Allah and adhering to His commands and prohibitions. For whoever fears Allah, Allah will take care of him and will not let others harm him.

3. Showing patience towards his enemy and not fighting him, complaining about him or thinking of harming him at all. There is no better victory against an envier an enemy than showing patience in putting up with him and putting one’s trust in Allah.

4. Putting one’s trust in Allah: whoever puts his trust in Allah, He will suffice him. Putting one’s trust in Allah is the strongest means by which a person may ward off what he cannot bear of the harm, transgression and enmity of other people. It is one of the strongest means of achieving that.

5. Not being distracted by the envier or thinking of him, so that you do not pay any attention to him or fear him, and your heart is not filled with thoughts of him. This is one of the most beneficial remedies and most effective means of warding off his evil.

6. Turning to Allah with sincerity.

7. Turning to Allah in repentance from sins because of which Allah allowed the individual’s enemies to harm him.

8. Giving charity and doing acts of kindness as much as you can, for that will have an amazing effect in warding off calamity, the evil eye and the evil of the envier.

9. This is the most difficult and hardest of means for the individual, and no one is able to do it except one whom Allah blesses greatly. It is extinguishing the fire of the envier, hater and one who causes harm by showing kindness to him. The greater the harm and evil, the more kindness you should show to him, show sincerity towards him and feel compassion for him.

10. The main thing, to which all the others are connected, is thinking of Allah’s oneness and attributing means and causes to the One Who is the Creator of the causes, namely the Almighty, the Most Wise, and realizing that these means and measures are like the movements of the wind: they are in the hand of the One Who moves them, Who created them, and nothing can cause harm or bring benefit except by His leave."(Badaa’i‘ al-Fawaa’id 2/463-469).

IslamIndustrial Strikes: No Work No Payment Is The Take Of Islam by Lukgaf(op): 6:24am On Aug 05, 2022
Is there a salary for the government workers who embarked on a strike that they have to get from the government whenever they resume work?

Praise be to Allaah. If you want an Islaamic answer, in the law of Islaam I am not entitled to be paid for a work I did not do. This is Islaam. This implies that no work no payment is the take of Islaam. What right would I claim to have for which I should be paid for a work I didn't do? Don't you know we will be called to account in Qiyaamah after leaving this world? If I get such money and buy a car with it, don't you know I have purchased a disastrous car? If I get such money and buy food stuff with it, don't you know I have purchased disastrous food stuff? If I get such money and buy a cloth with it, don't you know I have purchased a disastrous cloth? This implies that (you have to follow Islaam).

In this system itself, you have declared that you don't need religion in Nigeria, so you have to interact with yourselves upon your foundation in Nigeria. This is because it is a government formed on the basis that there is no concern about the take of our creator. So you have to keep dealing with yourselves upon your ratiocination. But if you are talking about Islaam, you have no right to be paid for a work you did not do.

Even you as a person, if you have a person who is the security guard in your house and has been absent for about three months, and Allaah did not predestine thieves to rob your house, and he come backs after three months to ask for payment. (Won’t you say) money for what, are you insane? (If he says give me) money for the three months I missed. (You may ask that) did you come to work?, (and he responds saying) I have been absent. I embarked on strike over failure to increase my salary. Won’t you employ someone else? If it happens that you were robbed within the three months, won't you get him arrested and accuse him of sending thieves to rob you. For this reason, you have no right to be paid for the work you didn't do if you are a Muslim. You may argue that the Nigerian government is unIslaamic but are you not bothered about Islaam?

IslamThe Fasting Of The 9th And 10th Day Of Muharram by Lukgaf(op): 6:14am On Aug 05, 2022
Today, the 5th day of August is equivalent to the 7th day of Muharram, 1444AH. According to the counting of NSCIA, coming Sunday and Monday are the blessed days of Tasu'a and Asuuroh respectively when fasting is of great benefit.

First of all, it is very important to make it clear that fasting on the day of `Ashura’ – the 10th of Muharram- is of great merit in Islam. the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “fasting the day of `Ashura’ (is of great merits), I hope that Allah will accept it as an expiation for (the sins committed in) the previous year” (Muslim)

Also, fasting on the 9th of Muharram is highly recommended by the Sunnah. Imam At-Tirmidhi reported that Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to say: We should fast on two days: the 9th and 10th of Muharram to distinguish ourselves from the Jewish community. (At-Tirmidhi)

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/c8/08/4b/c8084babacdb0f2e732e5e905d031e05.jpg

It is the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to fast on the 9th and 10th of Muharram. the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him used to fast on the day of `Ashura’. When he came to Madinah, he found out that the Jews of Madinah were also fasting on this day, remembering Prophet Musa (peace and blessings be upon him). the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) admired this tradition and said to the Jews, “I am closer to Musa than you are.” He fasted, and he also told his Companions to fast on this day.

Later, before the end of his life, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told Muslims to add the 9th day also. Thus, it is recommended to fast on both the 9th and 10th of Muharram.

Moreover, in the well-known book Fiqh As-Sunnah, the late Sheikh Sayyed Sabiq states:

Abu Hurayrah reported: “I asked the Prophet: ‘Which Prayer is the best after the obligatory Prayers?’ He said: ‘Prayer during the mid of the night.’ I asked: ‘Which fasting is the best after that of Ramadan?’ He said, ‘the month of Allah that you call Muharram”(Ahmad, Muslim, and Abu Dawud).

Mu`awiyyah ibn Abi Sufyan reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah say:“Concerning the day of `Ashura’, it is not obligatory upon you to fast on it as I do. Whoever wishes may fast and whoever does not wish to is not obliged to do so” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim).

It is noteworthy that Muslim scholars have stated that fasting of `Ashura’ is of three levels as follows (Islam Online):

1. fasting for three days, i.e., on the 9th, 10th, and 11th of Muharram (next Sunday, Monday and Tuesday for this year),

2. fasting the 9th and 10th of Muharram (Sunday and Monday for this year), and

3. fasting only on the 10th of Muharram (Monday for this year).

Brethren, may Allah make it easy for us. Please, let's endeavor to fast these days. Kindly remind others as well!

IslamHijrah 1444AH: Ruling On Offering Congratulations At The Beginning Of The Year by Lukgaf(op): 7:13am On Jul 29, 2022
By counting the NSCIA, today is the 30th day of DhulHijjah, 1443AH. Consequently, tomorrow is the first day of the 1444AH Islamic new calendar.

In this thread, we will discuss whether or not it is permissible to offer congratulations at the beginning of the new Islamic year calendar.

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked: What is the ruling on congratulating people on the occasion of the Hijri new year, and how should one reply to a person who offers congratulations?

He replied:

If someone offers you congratulations, then respond to him, but do not initiate such greetings. This is the correct view concerning this matter. So if a person says to you, for example, “Happy New Year”, then you can say, “May Allaah make it a good and blessed year for you.” But you should not initiate such a greeting, because I do not know of any report that the salaf [early generations of Islam] congratulated one another on the occasion of the new year, rather the salaf did not regard the first of Muharram as the first day of the new year until the caliphate of ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him.

Shaykh ‘Abd al-Kareem al-Khudayr said concerning offering congratulations on the occasion of the hijri new year:

Praying for another Muslim in general terms, in phrases that are not meant as a kind of ritual on special occasions such as Eid, is acceptable, especially if what is meant by this greeting is friendship and to show a friendly face to one’s fellow Muslim. Imaam Ahmad (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “I do not initiate the greeting but if someone greets me I return the greeting, because responding to the greeting is obligatory. But being the first to offer congratulations is neither Sunnah nor forbidden.

IslamHow To Place The Hands During Tashahhud? by Lukgaf(op): 6:26am On Jul 29, 2022
How should we place our hands during Tashahhud? Shayk (Dr) Sharoffuddeen Gbadebo Raji (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked this question, and below is his response.

Dr Sharoff: The left hand should be placed upon the left thigh; the right hand should be placed upon the right thigh; while the pinkie, the ring finger and the middle finger (of the right hand) should be grasped with the thumb. The index finger should be placed straight such that we point with it, moving it slightly as we supplicate. That is how it was reported in the hadeeth of Waa'il bn Hujr. We should move it while supplicating; that is what the Prophet (sollaLloohu ‘alyhi wa sallam) used to do. He said, ‘I saw the Prophet (sollaLloohu ‘alayhi wa sallam) moving his index finger using it for supplicating during his Tashahhud.’ According to the Maalikiyyah, the (right) hand should be emboxed while swinging the index finger during the supplication. One of our scholars interpreted it to mean that their aim is to make Shaytoon leave their hearts while they swing the index finger. However, what is evident in the Sunnah is what we earlier explained. That is the first description.

The second description is that the pinkie and the ring finger are affixed to the right palm; the middle finger and the thumb would be together in the form of a ring while we point and move the index finger. Both descriptions were reported from Prophet Muhammad (sollaLloohu ‘alayhi wa sallam). It was reported that when the Prophet (sollaLloohu ‘alayhi wa sallam) sat for tashahhud, he formed a ring like fifty-three with his hand.

What we see most people doing is different (from what was reported in these narrations). Some people place their hands on their thighs and oscillate the index finger. There are people who embox the two hands on their thighs oscillating the two index fingers in an orthogonal manner. These descriptions are just like engaging in activities expressly for the purpose of entertainment.

A brother from the congregation asked: What if the index finger is pointed without moving it?

Dr Sharoff: A person asks, what about if we move it once in a while?

The brother: I mean if we do not move it at all.

Dr Sharoff: Without moving it? That is not appropriate. The Companion said the Prophet used to move it; therefore, we will also move it. We have seen someone who challenged people who move it. IslamRuling On Watching BBN And Porn Related Movies by Lukgaf(op): 6:14am On Jul 29, 2022
It's an era of BBN in Nigeria. Islamically, watching Big Brother Nigeria (BBN) is sinful as it is similar to watching porn which may lead to masturbation and Zina.

Muslims are enjoined to get married and refrain from committing all these sinful acts because of their great punishments.

Shaykh ‘Abdullah Ibn Jibreen (May Allah Have Mercy On Him) was asked about the ruling on watching these kinds of movies and replied:

"Praise be to Allah.

Every Muslim is obliged to keep away from these images and movies which provoke desire and push one to do sinful actions such as masturbation or zina, so that this avoidance will be means of protecting oneself against haraam things. There is no doubt that watching them and persisting in doing so is a major sin, because there is no minor sin if one persists in doing it. The one who persists in doing it is regarded as having fallen into major sin because of his persistence, unlike the one who sees it just once, such as an accidental glance and the like; in that case it is regarded as a minor sin. The same applies to masturbation; if it happens just once in order to reduce the pressure of desire, Allah may pardon that because it is a minor sin, but persisting in it is a major sin."

As a Muslim, you should avoid watching BBN and related movies.

IslamRe: 1444 Hijri New Year: Tracing The Roots Of The Islamic Calendar by Lukgaf(op): 6:08am On Jul 29, 2022
On a related topic created a year ago, our dear Brother Rashduct4luv advised we should be acquainted with the Islamic calendar and not to be a "Ramadan Muslim" - a Muslim who knows only Ramadan as the Hijrah month.

We should try and be a Muslim as Allah says:

O you who believe! Enter perfectly in Islam (by obeying all the rules and regulations of the Islamic religion) and follow not the footsteps of Shaitan (Satan). Verily! He is to you a plain enemy. (Al-Baqarah 2: 208).

Below are the months in the Hijrah calendar in sequential order

1.Muharram
2.Safar
3. Rabi al-awwal
4. Rabi al-thani
5. Jumada al-awwal/ Jumada al-Ula
6.Jumada al-thanni
7.Rajab
8.Sha'aban
9.Ramadan
10.Shawwal
11.Dhul-Qa'da
12.Dhul -Hijjah

Try and memorise them!
Islam1444 Hijri New Year: Tracing The Roots Of The Islamic Calendar by Lukgaf(op): 6:01am On Jul 29, 2022
According to the Nigeria Supreme Council of Islam, today, Friday 29th of July, 2022 is the 30th day of Dhulhijjah, 1443AH which marks the end of the 1443 Hijrah calendar and the beginning of another calendar (1444H).

Below is the history of how the Islamic Calendar came into existence.

First established in the year 622 AD, the Islamic calendar consists of 12 lunar months, totaling 354 or 355 days per year.

In most countries, the calendar’s main use is now in determining the dates of religious events, such as Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, and the holy month of Ramadan. However, several countries, such as Saudi Arabia, use it as an official calendar.

The Hijra

The first year of the Islamic calendar marks the “Hijra” (migration) of Islam’s prophet Muhammad in 622 AD from his birthtown, Mecca, to Yathrib, currently called Medina.

The event holds special significance for Muslims, as it was after Hijra that Islam gained many followers.

According to Muslim tradition, Prophet Muhammad fled Mecca after God warned him of an assassination plot against him. The prophet only told his closest companions, Abu Bakr and Ali, of his plan to escape.

After a miraculous nocturnal escape from the tribe of Quraysh, Prophet Muhammad and his companion Abu Bakr hid in a cave outside Mecca. With a bounty on his head, the prophet stayed in the cave for three days before resuming his journey to Yathrib.

After the Hijra, Prophet Muhammad gained more supporters and Islam began to expand on a large scale in the Arabian Peninsula, as well as in Persia and Africa.

Pre-Islamic calendar
Muslims began using the Islamic calendar in the 17th year after the Hijra, approximately seven years after Prophet Muhammad died.

Prior to the establishment of the Islamic calendar, Muslims used a lunar calendar, with similar month appellations as the Islamic one. However, they did not numerically track years and only referenced them based on the occurrence of major events.

The most famous example of the years’ names is “A’am al-Fil” (The year of the elephant), which coincided with 571 AD and is commonly known as Prophet Muhammad’s birth year.

The year’s name derives from the story, mentioned in the Quran, of Abraha, a Christian ruler of Yemen. He marched upon Mecca with a large army, including war elephants, intending to demolish the Kaabah—Islam’s most sacred site.

However, according to the story, the elephants refused to destroy the holy site and a flock of birds dropped clay stones on the army to protect Mecca.

Establishment of the Islamic calendar

Muslims established the Islamic calendar under the reign of the second Muslim Caliph, Umar Ibn al-Khattab. The main reason behind the establishment of the calendar was the unprecedented expansion of the Islamic Caliphate, pushing Muslims to adopt a unified calendar for counting years.

Caliph Umar Ibn al-Khattab suggested the adoption of the Hijra as the start of the Islamic calendar, which all the prophet’s companions approved.

Another suggestion for the beginning of the Islamic calendar was the year Prophet Muhammad received his first revelations, in approximately 610 AD. However, the companions preferred the first option because the Hijra represented the actual birth of an Islamic nation.

When establishing the Islamic calendar, the companions had different opinions about what the first month should be. Many suggested the month of Safar, as it was the month when Prophet Muhammad migrated from Mecca to Yathrib.

In the end, they agreed on the month of Muharram because it comes right after the Hajj season—one of the most important annual rituals for Muslims.

Difference with the Gregorian calendar

Hijri years are 354 days, eight hours, and 48 minutes long—the duration it takes the moon to circle the Earth 12 times. This makes the Islamic calendar 11 to 12 days shorter than the solar Gregorian calendar.

The difference in duration makes the Islamic and Gregorian calendars unsynchronized. The two calendars mark a new year on approximately the same day only once every 33 years.

The difference also gradually pushes the Islamic calendar closer to the Gregorian calendar year-wise. While 622 years separated the two calendars at the establishment of the Islamic calendar, today, only 578 years separate them.

Through its over 14 centuries of existence, the Islamic calendar has documented wars and truces, births and deaths, and celebrations and mournings across the Muslim world. Today, in a multicultural context, it coexists with the civil calendar and connects Muslims with their eventful history and most sacred rituals.

They are free to take Buhari and Elrufai, we dash them the two. Nigeria and Kaduna state would be better for that. If they want to add Tinubu and Atiku to the list, we are fine with that. grin grin grin grin

I forgot, they should do it quick and add Lai Mohammad to the list. We are tired of these people.

Let them release the other people in their custody.
And you think it's reasonable if the president is abducted?

IslamWhy Is Pork Haram? by Lukgaf(op): 6:32am On Jul 22, 2022
One of the obvious rulings is the prohibition of eating pork meat in Islam. Why is it haram? This thread provides an answer
Praise be to Allah.

Importance of accepting the rules of Shari`ah
The basic principle for the Muslim is that he obeys whatever Allah enjoins upon him, and refrains from whatever He forbids him, whether the reason behind that is clear or not.

It is not permissible for a Muslim to reject any ruling of Shari’ah or to hesitate to follow it if the reason behind it is not clear. Rather he must accept the rulings on halal and haram when they are proven in the text, whether he understands the reason behind that or not. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed into a plain error.” [al-Ahzab 33:36]

“The only saying of the faithful believers, when they are called to Allah (His Words, the Quran) and His Messenger, to judge between them, is that they say: ‘We hear and we obey.’ And such are the successful (who will live forever in Paradise).” [al-Nur 24:51]

Why is pork haram?
Pork is forbidden in Islam according to the text of the Quran, where Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“He has forbidden you only the Maytah (dead animals), and blood, and the flesh of swine…” [al-Baqarah 2:173]

It is not permissible for a Muslim to consume it under any circumstances except in cases of necessity where a person’s life depends on eating it, such as in the case of starvation where a person fears that he is going to die, and he cannot find any other kind of food, based on the shar’i principle: “In cases of necessity, haram things are permitted.”

There is no mention in the Shar’i texts of a specific reason for the prohibition on pork, apart from the verse in which Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “for that surely, is impure” [al-An'am 6:145].

The word rijs (translated here as ‘impure’) is used to refer to anything that is regarded as abhorrent in Islam and according to the sound human nature (fitrah). This reason alone is sufficient.

And there is a general reason which is given with regard to the prohibition on haram food and drink and the like, which points to the reason behind the prohibition on pork. This general reason is to be found in the verse in which Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“He [i.e., the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)] allows them as lawful At-Tayyibat (i.e. all good and lawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons and foods), and prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khabaith (i.e. all evil and unlawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons and foods).” [al-A'raf 7:157]

The general meaning of this verse includes the reason for the prohibition on pork and it may be understood that in the Islamic viewpoint, it is included among the list of things that are evil and unlawful (al-khabaith).

What is meant by al-khabaith here is all things that will harm a person’s health, wealth or morals. Everything that leads to negative consequences in one of these important aspects of a person’s life comes under the general heading of khabaith.

Scientific and medical reasons for prohibiting pork
Scientific and medical research has also proven that the pig, among all other animals, is regarded as a carrier of germs that are harmful to the human body. Explaining all these harmful diseases in detail would take too long, but in brief we may list them as: parasitic diseases, bacterial diseases, viruses and so on.

These and other harmful effects indicate that the Wise Lawgiver has only forbidden pork for a reason, which is to preserve life and health, which are among the five basic necessities which are protected by Shari’ah.

IslamQ&A: The Ruling On Eating With Spoons by Lukgaf(op): 6:22am On Jul 22, 2022
Shayk (Dr) Sharoff Gbadebo Raji was asked about the ruling on eating with spoons and below is his response.

Question: What is the ruling on eating with spoons.

Dr Sharof: Haha! Everyone is amazed regarding this kind of question. Eat with spoons; who says you should not eat with spoons? What for? Are you of the view that spoons cannot be used for eating? That’s ignorance! Asking people not to eat with spoons is ignorance. That means you do not know anything about Islaam. The Prophet, sollaLloohu ‘alayhi wa sallam, eats with his hands. Does it imply that we should not eat with spoons? That's not its implication. This is from extremism. A person who has spoons in his house is asking people not to eat with spoons. You can imagine!

Our senior scholar, Shaykh al-Albaanee, rohimohuLlaah, in his book Silsilatu al-ahadeeth ad-Do’eefa, mentioned a narration which he declared as fabricated, he said it was a lie upon the Prophet, sollaLloohu alayhi wa sallam. That hadeeth mentions that the Prophet, sollaLloohu 'alayhi wa sallam, eats with five fingers. Shaykh al-Albaanee said the hadeeth is fabricated, but the authentic version of the hadeeth is the one narrated by Bukhooree and Muslim which states that the Prophet, sollaLloohu ‘alayhi wa sallam, eats with three fingers. Eating with three fingers is what was reported in the Sunnah. He (Shaykh al-Albaanee) said there are some people who do not know that the hadeeth (that stated eating with five fingers) is fabricated. (As such), they eat with five fingers saying that eating with five fingers is preferable to eating with spoons, but they do not know that they are disturbed due to their sheer ignorance. Where is it stated in Islaam that we should not eat with spoons! Where is it stated in Islaam that we should not eat with spoons!!

There are people who handle Islaam as if it was created in their vicinities, or as a religion which has to be fabricated by them. They quote narrations out of context and make them binding upon a judgement. So Shaykh al-Albaanee said it is ignorance (to say it is wrong to eat with spoons). If you say it is not permissible to eat with spoons, then why do you make use of eyeglasses? Why do you make use of cups? What are you doing with handsets? I hope you understand. You have to discard all these items. Did the Prophet put on the types of clothes we wear today? What about caps and pens? All these cannot be traced (to the Prophet); they are from the habitual practices of the people.

Also, our senior scholar, ash-Shaykh Ibn Baaz, rohimohuLlaah, was asked about the ruling on eating with spoons. He said it is from the customs of the people. Bid’ah does not enter this issue. It is left to you; if you do not have a spoon to eat with, you can eat with your hand. Na’am.

IslamThe Prohibition Of Looking At Another Person’s Private Part (awrah) by Lukgaf(op): 6:13am On Jul 22, 2022
Is it permissible to look at another person's private part even if of similar sex?

Abu Sa'id al Khudri Radiyallahu anhu reported that Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, “A man should not see the private parts of another man, and a woman should not see the private parts of another woman, and a man should not lie with another man under one covering, and a woman should not lie with another woman under one covering.” [Sahih Muslim].

"Exposing the intimate parts of the body is unlawful in Islam as the Quran instructs the covering of male and female genitals, and for adult females the breasts. Exposing them is normally considered sinful. Exposing intimate parts when needed, such as going to the toilet or bathing, falls under a specific set of rules." Intimate parts in Islam.

Based on what is contained on IslamQA about the topic, the ‘awrah of a woman in front of her mahrams is her entire body except that which usually appears such as the face and hair, neck, forearms and feet. The ‘awrah of a woman with another woman is the area between the navel and the knee. The ‘awrah of a man is the area between the navel and the knee; as for the navel and the knee themselves, they are not part of the ‘awrah. Some scholars are of the opinion that knee is awrah also and must be covered.

According to Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It is not permissible for a young man to play football, for example, wearing only shorts that do not reach the knees or that do not reach the navel. It is essential that the area between the navel and the knee be covered in the case of young men.

Many of us still fall in this prohibition. We often think there is no problem if we look at our friend's awrah since we are of the same sex. But that is not permissible! Since we know we are prohibited from doing so, please let's refrain from doing it.
