*KA Stroud Engineering Mathematics *Episode 15 Topic: Expressions and equations https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfNtCBttpew In this episode, we continued from page 102 - Program F3, Frame 1 of the book. The author started a new program by explaining expressions, equations, and their types as well as how to transpose formulas to make a variable a subject of the formula. Using his exposition, I explained these in Yoruba. Previous sessions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEU7m_RppLc&list=PLn0ZvdWhZVXfRYVqT-U32oOyBmwMAh7Re |

Farooq Kperogi 3h · Osun’s Christian-Christian Ticket, APC's Muslim-Muslim Ticket, and Religion in Yorubaland By Farooq Kperogi Just as a lot of the Muslims who endorse APC's Muslim-Muslim president ticket would declare a jihad against a Christian-Christian presidential ticket by a ruling party, a lot of the Christians who oppose a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket would praise a Christian-Christian presidential ticket as evidence of progress, of religious tolerance, and of the praiseworthy deemphasis of religion in politics. You know how I know this? I’ve noticed that some of the very people who’re having fits of hysterical rage over APC’s Muslim-Muslim ticket are celebrating the “religious tolerance” that Osun PDP’s "Christian-Christian" ticket symbolizes, particularly because Osun is a predominantly Muslim state.\ (For the record Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke is BOTH a Christian and a Muslim. Let's just call him a "Chrislim") For good measure, they throw around the sterile, mendacious cliché about religion being immaterial in Yorubaland in light of the religious ecumenicalism of the people. Well, if religion is immaterial in Yorubaland, why would an effectively non-religious but nominal Muslim Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s choice of a northern Muslim running mate rankle so many Christians in the region this deeply? Until recently, Tinubu didn’t even identify with Islam publicly, is married to a pastor, and ALL his children are Christians. He sees himself first as a Yoruba man before he is a nominal Muslim. Apparently, religion “doesn’t matter” in Yorubaland only when Muslims are rendered invisible there. Then it suddenly matters when they enjoy some visibility. Even though Muslims constitute more than 50 percent of Yorubaland's population, there will not be a single Muslim governor there after Adeleke is sworn in. (I'm sure the people of Osun who voted against their incompetent governor who happens to be a Muslim don't care, but since religion has now been centralized in political discourse we need to point this out). The people who fought for a “Christian” governor of Lagos State (so much for “religion doesn’t matter in Yoruba land”!) would celebrate the current state of affairs as evidence of the “religious harmony in Yorubaland.” Consequence-free invisibilization of Muslims in their region is their definition of religious “harmony.” Harmony comes when different notes synchronize, but their own harmony comes the same note! The hypocrisy of the religious fanatics of all faiths is galling. The supreme irony is that it’s often headless, irrational fanatics who’re quick to call others bigots and fanatics for calling out their bigotry and fanaticism. |

Some non -muslims out of courtesy pay us a Tasleem. As a Muslim, how should we return it? "Praise be to Allah. It is not permissible firstly to initiate the greeting of salaam to a non-Muslim. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Do not initiate the greeting of salaam to a Jew or a Christian (Narrated by Muslim, 2167). If one of them says As-Saam alaykum meaning, may death be upon you or it is not clear whether they have said salaam, then we should respond by saying Wa alaykum (and upon you). It was reported that Ibn Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: When the Jews greet you, they say Al-saam alaykum (may death be upon you), so respond by saying alayk (and also upon you). (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5902; Muslim, 2461). If a non-Muslim greets us with the correct shari greeting (i.e., says Al-salaamu alaykum clearly), the scholars differed as to whether we have to return the greeting. The majority of scholars said that we do have to return the greeting, and this is the correct view. Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: they differed as to whether it is obligatory to return the greeting. The majority said that it is obligatory and this is the correct view. A group of scholars said that it is not obligatory to return their greeting just as it is not obligatory to return the greeting of those who follow bidah. But the correct view is the first one. The difference is that we are commanded to forsake the followers of bidah by way of rebuke and to warn others about them, which is not the case with the Ahl al-Dhimmah (Jews and Christians). (Zaad al-Maaad, 2/425, 426) The Muslim who is returning the greeting should respond in the manner prescribed by shareeah, giving a similar or better greeting, because of the general meaning of the Aayah (interpretation of the meaning): When you are greeted with a greeting, greet in return with what is better than it, or (at least) return it equally. [al-Nisa 4:86] Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: if the person is certain that the Dhimmi (Jew or Christian) is clearly saying al-salaamu alaykum to him, and he has no doubts about that, should he say wa alayka al-salaam or shorten it to wa alayk? What is indicated by the evidence and principles of shareeah is that he should say wa alayka al-salaam, because this is more just, and Allaah commands us to be just and to treat others well this does not contradict any of the ahaadeeth on this topic at all, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) commanded us to shorten the greeting to wa alayk because of the reason mentioned above, which is that they deliberately used to say al-saam alaykum instead of al-salaam alaykum, as indicated in the hadeeth narrated by Aaishah (may Allaah be pleased with her). He said, Do you not see that I say wa alaykum when they say al-saam alaykum? Then he said, If the People of the Book greet you with salaam, say, Wa alaykum. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): and when they come to you, they greet you with a greeting wherewith Allaah greets you not, and say within themselves, Why would Allâh punish us not for what we say? [al-Mujaadilah 58:8] If this reason is not there, and the Jew or Christian says, Salaam alaykum wa rahmat-Allaah, then it is only fair to respond in kind. (Ahkaam Ahl al-Dhimmah, 1/425, 426) The hadeeth of Aaishah was narrated by al-Bukhaari (5901) and Muslim (2165) See also: Majmoo Fataawa Ibn Uthaymeen, 2/97 And Allaah knows best." https://islamqa.info/en/answers/6583/how-should-we-return-the-greeting-of-salaam-from-a-non-muslim |
Shayk Dr Sharoff was asked for how long can a man travel living his wife. Below is his response: It must not be more than four months. It must not be more than four months in as much as you do not want your wife to become wayward. A person who travels to England, neglecting his wife because of his work for four years, what is this? What kind of money do you want that requires you to neglect your wife for four years? For this reason, according to the Sharee’ah, it is permissible for a woman to take the issue to the correctors. Four years will be counted and after that if the husband is yet to arrive, she will do iddah (period of waiting) for four months and ten days; it will be assumed that the husband is dead. She will have to marry another husband, but this does not imply that her husband’s property will be shared. She will be asked to marry so that she will not become wayward. The property of the husband will not be shared until his age is calculated to have reached seventy, eighty, or ninety years. This is because it will be assumed that his colleagues would have been dead at about seventy, eighty or ninety years. The age to be used depends on the view of the corrector.[SOURCE: Q&A session of the tape, “Idile Musulumi”] Transcribed by Aboo Aaishah Al Odeomeey |

WHO COMES TO EQUITY MUST COME WITH CLEAN HANDS. Of these 6 past and present CAN Presidents, only John Onaiyekan is a Northerner from Kogi state. He is even a Yoruba man. 1 Anthony Cardinal Okogie 2 His Eminence Dr. Sunday C. Mbang 3 Most Revd. Peter Akinola 4 Archbishop John Onaiyekan 5 Ayo Oritsejafor 6 Dr. Supo Ayokunle. Among the last six CAN presidents, no Plateau man is good enough to take the position. No Benue man and no Taraba man. What about Southern Kaduna Christians? Not to talk of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno or Kebbi indigenous faithful Christians. They are not worthy of that office. The only Northerner among them is Onaiyekan, a Yoruba man from Kogi state. PFN President past and present Reverend J O Boyejo Pastor Enoch Adeboye Archbishop Benson Idahosa Bishop Mike Okonkwo Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor Reverend Dr. Felix Omobude Bishop Francis Wale Oke These are the past and present PFN presidents. Not one of them is a Northern Christian. Southern Kaduna, Plateau, Benue, Taraba, Adamawa, Bauchi and Kogi Christians are not considered. Except they are telling us that it is Pentecostal Fellowship of Southern Nigeria. This is not a post to make anyone become bitter or angry but to make you remove the log in your own eyes first before trying to remove the little particle in the eyes of a non religious organization like APC. #SWA |

LET US NOT BURN DOWN THIS COUNTRY: LET’S TOLERATE ONE ANOTHER 1. Are you aware that there is only one Muslim governor in the whole southern Nigeria, Gov. Oyetola of Osun out of 17 states? 2. Are you equally aware that there are only two Muslim Deputy Govs. in the whole of southern Nigeria? 3. In the North, there are four Christian Governors out of 19 states. 4. Eight Christian deputy Governors out of 19 states. 5. Are you aware there are 20 Christian Governors and only 16 Muslim Governors in Nigeria? 6. Do you know that there are 23 Christian Deputy Governors and 13 Muslim Deputy Governors in Nigeria? Despite this, 'CAN' is still shouting of Islamization agenda. But is this Christianization agenda of the south? No, because southern Muslims are more liberal and won't shout or make noise but if it is the opposite, 'CAN' would raise hell. ############ *Facts On Religious Balancing Of Joint Electoral Tickets in Nigeria *Fact 1: Total States in Nigeria - 36 Christian Governors - 20 (56%) Muslim Governors - 16 (44%) *Fact 2: Total States in Nigeria - 36 Christian Dep Govs - 22 (61%) Muslim Dep Govs - 14 (39%) *Fact 3: Total States in the South - 17 Christian Governors - 16 (94%) Muslim Governors - 1 (6%) *Fact 4: Total States in the North - 19 Christian Governors - 4 (21%) Muslim Governors - 15 (79%) *Fact 5: Total States in the South - 17 Christian Dep Govs - 14 (82%) Muslim Dep Govs - 3 (18%) |

Although you dislike math but you are really curious when you hear this mathematics topic "Simultaneous linear equation". Isn't it? Okay, do you know two of the methods of solving this equation type (elimination and substitution) are very easy and interesting to use? Are you aware you can fully understand how to apply these two methods to solve simultaneous linear equation without stress just by watching a short video? In this short, I clearly summarized how you can apply these two methods to solving simultaneous linear equations Link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6HEtIsfYQA |
