On issue like this I'll definitely ask for the leading of the Holy Spirit. But if it's left to me I'll love to keep my father's name for a lot of reasons.

Funnily enough, the Holy Spirit, choose my hairstyle. The next one I'm doing is braid and I'll relax my hair today or tomorrow. And I'm definitely not going to hell.

Op, with due respect, all you have written does not justify the reason why one should not be in church for sunday worship. It is a day you meet together with others to worship. However, if your church does not satisfy yr spiritual needs, simply look for a good one. Though there are many fake churches, yet there are many good ones too.

You'll notice that all throughout my submissions I've never mentioned predicting the future or what not. Those are lesser functions of the third eye and frankly shouldn't interest the genuine seeker of truth.

The future I believe should be left firmly in God's hands and I think those who seek to peep Ito the future commit a sin against God.

Haven said that. The Bible quotation we are talking about, Matt 6:22 shows the dual nature of the third eye.

It is a potential or force that can either be used for Good or for evil depending on the individual's inclination.

It is a potential that lies dormant in everyone.

It's just like the tongue.

Everybody has one. A person may decide to use his organ of speech to praise God or to lie and calumnise his neighbour.

Or the sexual organs, vagina for female, penis for male. Each individual has gotten one.

They may decide to fornicate with it, get involved in homosexual activity with it or honor God's will by using it appropriately.

Same with the third eye.
We are going back to the beginning because the OP said the third eyes is use to see the future.
Okay, if seeing the the future is a lesser function then what's the primary function and how can one use it for good or evil. How can it be a light or darkness to our body? Remember one can only access this third eye by himself/herself or can someone else make use of your third eye?

Yes, the eye being single is third Eye.

The following verse shows that there's a struggle between the spiritual and the profane.

Between God and mammon

No one can be said to be attaining spiritual height and still be clinging to material wealth.

Spiritual awakening signified by the opening of the third Eye also known as the eye of faith can't be compatible with materialism.
Don't confuse me. Let's go back. Vs 23 again
[23] But if thy eye be evil thy whole body shall be darksome. If then the light that is in thee, be darkness: the darkness itself how great shall it be!
So how can the 3rd eye be evil and be darkness to our body? Remember the 3rd eye is meant to predict the future.
Christianity Etc › Re: Surprised To See Many Atheist In NL But Never Met One In Real Life In Nigeria by luvmijeje(f): 6:36pm On Mar 16, 2017

Use the Douay Rheims version and requote Matt 6:22
Matt 6:22-24
22] The light of thy body is thy eye. If thy eye be single, thy whole body shall be lightsome. [23] But if thy eye be evil thy whole body shall be darksome. If then the light that is in thee, be darkness: the darkness itself how great shall it be! [24] No man can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one, and love the other: or he will sustain the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
For more emphasis I quoted 23 and 24.
Going by your reasoning their eyes is single means 3rd eyes. So what's the meaning of verse 24.

I get what you're saying. And there probably are many ways to experience Jesus.

But I'm only trying to Let you see that the Bible actually has hidden messages for those who truly seek.

Maybe it's not the way for you, but don't condemn those who go through that path.

You haven't seen this route in the Bible only Because you're not seeking for it.

Remember, ask, and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened onto you.

There are lots of hidden mystical statements in the Bible. That's why it seems sometimes like the Bible contradicts itself.
I'm condemning it. This is the full statement of Jesus Matt 6:22-23
22 a“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, 23 but if if our eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
Jesus is the light of the body. He is talking about himself not your physical eyes. John 8:12 says

12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Bros, you are corrupting God's words to pursue your agenda. Please repent.

No dear. It's not a parable. Neither is it figurative.

Jesus himself said that some of his teachings will be secret and revealed only to a few.

Only those who can't be satisfies with mundane Christianity.

Whatever you know about Christianity is what you've been told or what you read, mostly about other people's spiritual experiences. That is not what is going to bring about your spiritual regeneration.

Christ calls us to experience the Holy Ghost ourselves and not be satisfied with reading about other's experiences.

I ask once again, given an option between reading about other people's spiritual experiences and having your own profound life changing earth shattering experience, which would you choose?
I have had a changing Life experience and I didn't go through this route and other that I know never went through this route.

My point is the Bible never told us to pass through this route.

That was why I asked you to read the portion from the earliest Biblical translation available to us, the Douay Rheims version. Just Google "Matt 6:22 Douay Rheims" and you'll see the difference.

What you read was not a translated copy but and interpreted copy by those who didn't understand the phrase or tried to hide it.

The original translation reads "The eye is the lamp of the body, therefore If thine eye be SINGLE, thy whole body shall be lightsome".

The operative word there is single.

How do two eyes become SINGLE?

If they are centered in between, right on the forehead.
But it's still a parable. You took it literally.

But every goat and dog including Seun will come into a Christian's thread to insult God and go away with it.

This is an injustice. So Muslims can't defend the Quran from the onslaught of reprobates without Seun shielding them. While Seun and other reprobates have free rein insulting christianity.

This is quite interesting.

I realize that people are always afraid of what they don't know. This was what kept me from trying to get my third eye awakened for a long time even though I had the complete knowledge with me.

Yes it sounds occultic but this knowledge is not for all Christians.

Please read Matthew 6:22 and discover what Jesus Christ Himself said about the third eye.(use a properly translated Bible like Douay Rheims )

We Christians say that when we die we will go to Heaven, right? But Jesus tells us that the kingdom of Heaven is within us.

We can start living in heaven right here on earth only If we can access the gate, the door, the portal that leads inside.

The third eye is that portal that leads inside.

Most Christians are satisfied with clapping and singing in Church.

They are satisfied with reading and hearing about spiritual realities, but tell me something, If you were given an option between the above and actually experiencing spiritual realities yourself, which would you choose?

Having an inordinate attachment to a book isn't what Christianity is all about. Jesus Christ himself did not write down anything for us.

He calls us to a life of perfection remember? "Be perfect, just like your heavenly father is perfect" and this can only truly be achieved If we live a centered life which is only possible by awakening the third eye.

Is the third eye evil or good?

Neither. It's a potential. How you use it and What you use it for determines whether it's Good or bad. Just like asking is your pemiss Good, or is your tongue Good or your hand and So on.

cc: luvmijeje
Let me go to Matt 6:22

22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light,

Hmmmmm, you took Jesus's parable and run with it. You don't have to misquote the Bible to get your point across.
There's nothing called third eyes in the Bible.
Christianity Etc › Re: Third Eye Chakra by luvmijeje(f): 6:09am On Mar 16, 2017
The Chakra connects us to our internal intuitions and is responsible for the sharp senses, the ability to read the future and receive non-verbal messages.
No one can reads the future. Ecclesiastes 8:7 said

7Indeed, how can people avoid what they don’t know is going to happen?

If you can read the future no one will die. Ecclesiastes 8:8 said

8None of us can hold back our spirit from departing. None of us has the power to prevent the day of our death.

This thread remind me of a story I was told when I was a kid. A man was told he was going to die by water, so he refuses to go anywhere that will pass through water. He refuses to go to the island that will make use of the bridges.

But do you know what killed him? A cup of water after finish eating. Shebi is water that still killed him.

It's only God, the one true who knows all things. Cling to him.

Christianity Etc › Re: Did W.F. KUMUYI Really Say This? by luvmijeje(f): 11:33am On Mar 15, 2017
Is it not happening already?

I dreamt 2 days ago that I was in a church listening to a pastor who was preaching an heresy and I was saying to myself what kind of preaching is this then the preaching ended suddenly. Then as l was about moving out of the church, I saw a long time friend who attends a white garment church. I was shocked and I ask her what was she doing in my church? As I was talking to her, she took me to the back of the church where I saw a white garment church holding their service and my friend told me that my church wasn't like this before. That it was more beautiful than this if not for the people holding services at the back of the church.

Then we moved out of the church via the back into a long street then I looked up, I then I saw a crowd of people who were putting on a white garment gown coming toward the church then I woke up.

This is what God told me. He said the crowd signify false prophets that has been sent out into the church.
Service held behind the church means they're coming in to pollute my church. Pastor preaching heresy means they will pollute my words. My friend was a personal message to me.

Believers should hold on tight to his God.

If you don't understand something, attribute it to the supernatural. That's why we have Christianity, Islam and the likes.
As someone rightly said... As knowledge increases, god decreases.
You're still in a bubble if you think there's no supernatural. You're still in a lalaland if you believe there are no powers. Reality will soon dawn on you.
