Majority of what?

Sarakis like minded group is still larger and more progressive than that of lawan containing senators the likes of Dino melaye amongst others, and it is getting larger by the day as its selling ticket like tambuwal's was is independence of the legistature and all this is internally at the party level, you don't need me to tell you whom the very significant PDP minority will back. So i ask you again, Majority of what?huh
Majority of APC's members.

It's quite unfortunate that u guys are so blinded by selfish party loyalty to see that Saraki's action is good for the nation. For the past sixteen years that PDP held sway, the reason why the country remained under-developed is because after election, comes settlement. Tambuwal started changing that in 2011; of course APC lawmakers were the major actors then and now Saraki. It is bringing god fatherism to end.
What a myopic statement. So PDP supported Saraki without anything in it for them? As far as Saraki still want to retain that seat, he must continue dancing to the tune of PDP.

So therefore, he's only postponing his doomsday.

Did I hear u say limit him to the senate & keep him out of the party? I don't understand. Do you at all understand the power at the disposal of a senate president? I have just detected hipocrisy here. Tambuwal did the same & u guys clapped. What goes around comes around. Note this, Saraki is about to become the most powerful & popular senate president ever. Do u know why? Not because he is a good man but because he has a United 49 behind him. He is practically untouchanble. Live with it.
Yes! Made mostly of PDP's members. So I understand why he's a good man in your opinion.

No, they will be keeping their legs safe. Saraki loyalty lies in PDP.

Are you serious. If he leaves and takes his group with him the APC will become a nominal minority party. The problem with the APC is the lack of leadership. Most of its members are more concerned about power and the trappings of office rather than on building the party structure. The stench of greed in its ranks is becoming repulsive to well-meaning people.

I predicted a split party a year and a half to elections in 2019. The seeds are germinating. Today it is between those in government offices and those in party offices. As the party people seek alternative candidates, the government people will seek alternative platforms. NewAPC loading....
There's no New APC for Saraki and his group, the only option left for them is to go back to PDP.

If I'm Lawan, I'll also go behind to make deal with someone like David Mark and let's see who will lose.

APC has everything to lose, losing control of the senate to PDP this early protend a great danger for PMB and whatever happens in the senate will sure happen in the house of rep...

I would advice APC to thread with care so they won't be playing into the hands of PDP(that is if they have not played into their hands already)...
If Saraki goes ahead to defy the party, Buhari will still become a sitting duck. We have a Senate controlled by PDP.

Now what the party must do is to limit the power of Saraki only to the Senate. Keep him out of the party.

cktheluckyman:
Lol the principal officials have already been elected and would be announced today. APC can either expel them and risk becoming a minority in parliament or lick their wounds and move on. The party has everything to lose
If Saraki goes ahead to defy the party, APC will still become a minority party. They will lose more if Saraki is not expell from the party. They must put their foot down NOW when they still have support of the majority.

saraki and his loyalists are just deceiving themselves, they defied a straw poll conducted by the party leadership and now they want to use the same straw poll for the principal officers to emerge. If i am a Senator in the unity forum,i will not accept the outcome of any straw poll.It is either saraki read the names sent to him by the party, or should kindly walkout of the party.
Sefini. A gauntlet has been thrown down, he either read the names or be expell from the party. Oh, how I love the way the party publicly made his demand known.

At this point, the party have nothing to lose.

He is intelligent enough to know the long term implications on his 'credibility'
The implication have even started. Have you heard anything from the talkative Dino Melaye? He has suddenly gone quiet all because he's interested in contesting for the kogi 2015 governorship ticket under the same party he supported Saraki in rubbishing.
Politics › Re: We Are About To Have A Factional Senate President by luvmijeje(f):
Walahi, I don't envy Saraki..... He's between the devil and the deep blue sea. It was the repercussion of treachery and greed. He has trade his peace for power.

He can't afford to tile so much to the left or to the right. He can't even dare to stay in the middle.

Okijajuju1:
Lol..

You are running after rats inside a Burning building.

So you think that when these Vagabonds go ahead with their plans, all of a sudden all South Easterners would become super wealthy and live in a utopia filled with 24hrs Electricity, pipe borne water, e.t.c and that nobody in the new Biafra would own private jets or everybody would own one or what? What has private jet got to do with anything? Do you know the number of Nigerians the legitimately own Private jets? Or do you think every individual who owns one is corrupt? Please rid yourself of those mentality of poverty. Because the neck thing would be that those who are driving SUVs would be the new target, then those wear gold necklaces, or those wearing designer outfit.. Success and Wealth is not a taboo.

Come to Awka next weekend and I would be burying my Grandfather, the last victim of the Biafran War from my family. My Grandfather would be going into the ground with a Bullet still lodged inside him. He was a Biafran Soldier and Ojukwus ADC. My Parternal Grandmother died two years ago.. She was a victim of the Biafran War as well, she had to bury 4 of her sons in one day after a Nigerian Airforce bombing raid of Aba.

I was not born during the Biafran war, but hearing my Grandparents talk about war coupled with what I have seen with my eyes has made me realize that War is never the answer. I am from the South East of Nigeria, married from the South East of Nigeria, Own Properties worth hundreds of millions in the South East of Nigeria and I know that should War happen, my family and I and many others like us would definitely lose it all (FOR THE SECOND TIME IN UNDER 60 years) and should have to start all over again from scratch. Call me selfish but this is the sad truth.

The Igbos calling for war and supporting this Lunatic called Nnamdi Kanu have not fully appreciated the implications of War. In War, Women which includes mothers, Wives, Daughters and babies get rap-ed freely. Those who would be raped are our own daughters not those of the Yorubas nor Hausas that the war was meant to destroy. The Houses, farmlands, vehicles, properties, infrastructure and more that would be destroyed would be ours, not those of the enemies we want to fight. The future that would be wrecked would be ours because our Men who wouldn't be dead would be Injured, handicapped, in Prisons-of-War or just plain destitute. Our Sons from age 6 and above would become Child Soldiers, exposed to bloodshed at an early age and would lose their innocence and childhood whilst they are children, assuming they survive the war. In wartime, the Man with the Gun is President, Governor and everything. Crime and Criminals become the order of the day. Life as we know it flies out the window. All these to help another group of people attain power to control us.

The aftermath of a war does not even clear up immediately combat ceases. The South East is still not fully healed up from the last war in 1967. All over Rivers State, properties belonging to South Easterners are still there under the name "Abandoned Properties". Politically speaking, the relevance of the south East post-1967 has still not fully recovered. In fact, the South-South has even advanced further politically than the South East since after that war.

Things to note; The issues that plagued Ojukwus in 1967 are child's play compared to what any uprising in the South-East would face today.. now the Nigerian Army is better equipped than they were in 1967, better trained than they were in 1967. The Ogbunigwe cannot win you a war in 2015.. This time around, the Airforce has acquired Drones, Better jets, etc. The Nigerian Navy would block off the water ways in a matter of 1 week if the call comes through and once more the same shiit of 1967 is on again.

To those saying its can insult to call Nnamdi Kanu a Terrorist, maybe you would do well to grab a copy of the Nigerian Constitution and a Dictionary and find out the meaning of sedition and the penalty for treason.

Should a war breakout in the South East, the biggest losers would be us, the South Easterners.

This foolishness must be arrested before is spirals fully out of control..

Finally, I will leave you with a food for thought: When you become a parent, if your response to an issue or dispute between your Children and family members is not for one child to go fight and kill another child, then Violence and war should never be a choice in conflict resolution. Find other means that are not as lazy and unproductive as war.. Also check history:: Less than 3 Nations the world over has ever gotten independence nor cessation from war.
I feel goosebumps after reading this....... After reading this and you are still in support of treasonous Nnamdi then something is mentally wrong with you.

We won’t dignify him with a response. He’s such a worthless piece of trash
that we won’t waste our energy on. This is a man with no dignity, no shame. No self-respecting man would talk the way Ikuru is talking right now. This is a character that served the Amaechi administration for almost eight years. While he was there, he never for once complained that Amaechi or the government that he was the second-in-command was corrupt. As a matter of fact, he was singing and parroting everywhere that Rivers State was truly blessed to have a governor like Amaechi, that Amaechi will always be remembered and hailed for changing for good the fortunes of Rivers State.
shocked shocked shocked Ameachi don vex.

Mr George went on to say that Africa must begin to write her own stories. He was of the opinion that African children must read about the great men of the black race; one of such men being Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

“He is presently being suggested for the Nobel Peace prize, and our plans for the promotion of this book is part of that suggestion.” Mr George added.
It's well. Hopefully it'll be insightful as Obasanjo's book.
