Defcon1: Well, at this stage l don't think there is anything they can do about all this. It's too late. They had all the time in the world to settle their differences and avoid this.
The way forward now is to accept things the way they are, and then try to mend all the other rifts within the party, to avoid similar or even worse scenarios in future.
Dragging on with this will only create more divisions and infighting, and the only people that will benefit from the disunity is PDP. I beg to disagree, if APC don't drag this issue then any one can decide to go against the party knowing nothing will come out of it. Right now APC as a majority don't have a say in the upper chamber . And you expect them not to do anything knowing any failure hence forth is APC's failure. |
Politics › Re: Buhari Reacts To Emergence Of Speaker, Senate President by luvmijeje(f): 7:06pm On Jun 09, 2015 |
Buhari shouldn't have bothered releasing any statement. This is an issue between Party vs some undisciplined and treacherous members. |
Politics › Re: There Were No Elections For The Senate Leadership - Senator Akume by luvmijeje(f): 6:51pm On Jun 09, 2015 |
Defcon1: A house divided against itself will not stand. APC need to get their act together. Internal conflict of interests will undo them if they are not very careful. This is the more reason this issue must not be overlook. If Saraki goes away with it, the party will have set the wrong precedent. APC must not take this rubbish lying down. |

APC decried a situation in which some people, based on nothing but inordinate ambition and lack of discipline and loyalty, will enter into an unholy alliance with the very same people whom the party and indeed the entire country worked hard to replace and sell out the hard won victory of the Party. This is the part I love most. Lai, tell them.... Make them hear. |

Defcon1: What sham? I am a neutral here, but I don't see any sham in all this. This is a perfectly planned and well executed political maneuver. There is nothing anybody can do to reverse things
All the constitutional and legal requirements were met, especially, the presidential proclamation and the needed quorum.
They were definitely fooled, but no law was broken. It's just smart politics! As much as I hate PDP I'll have to agree with you. PDP and Saraki were under estimated but na starting PDP get. |

Irresponsible journalism. A serious investigative journalist would have traced the wristwatch to where she bought it from or show us the receipt detailing that she bought it at that price. At worst before publishing the allegation, the journalist should have attempted to hear her defense. |

In all honesty, what the industry is producing is predictable rubbish. No depth, no story, no acting....... Nothing. The only thing they are fairly good at is showing of skimpy clothes and featuring fine girls which mostly never goes with the stortlines. My nieces even prefer Korean's films to Nigeria's films..... They don't communicate in english o. |
