Going by the Yoruba history, we can claim that the Yorubas are slaves/destined to be slaves.

When the Oyo empire was about to collapse, Yoruba states were are war with other. The Yorubas started kidnapping their fellow yorubas from neighboring states. They sold their fellow Yorubas to slavery to obtain money to buy horses for their army.

Merchants from the sahel exchanged one horse for ten yoruba slaves.

I can go on and on about the history of the yorubas.

When the southeasterners see a good product, they know and recognize it. Reason they never voted for Buhari in 2015 and in 2019. Of course, that came with a heavy price; we were treated as the 5%ters and labelled as a region that does not know how to play politics. But the southwest swum like bees and voted for Buhari massively because of the bait and carrot(Osinbade) that was dangled at them. Today, the same people are complaining and fighting for their lives. In your own judgement, which people are smarter and wiser? Some would attack me or disagree but, the truth is, Igbos do not go by sentiment, they go by the reality on ground no matter whose ox is gored.
