Military Commander, Operation Safe Haven, Major General Austin Agundu, has publicly paraded ten criminal suspects, including militia kingpin, Timothy Zakka, for crimes ranging from cattle rustling and terrorizing residents of Plateau and other North Central states since 2001.

One of the suspects, Isa Abubakar, [/b]a serving member of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), assigned to Ancha Community School in Isukwaito LGA of Abia State, was arrested in possession of 477 sachets of illicit drugs.

Gen. Agundu noted that Isa Abubakar, the drug-peddling Corps member, was arrested in a commercial vehicle en route to Jos, in possession of 477 sachets of flunitrazepam.

He explained that the arrest of Abubakar led to the arrest of Chinedu Egbubuike with 146 sachets of same substance at Saint Murumba in Jos.

A 10-year-old boy on Monday told a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan that his mother asked him to put poison in his father’s food.


The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Adenike Ayodele, the mother of the boy, had petitioned the court to dissolve her 15-year-old marriage to her estranged husband, Adeshina, on grounds of irresponsibility and battery.

In his testimony, the boy told the court that his mother gave him a nylon which contained some powdery substance which she instructed him to pour in his father’s food as well as his bathing water.





Earlier, Adenike, who lives at Agbaje area of Orita-challenge, Ibadan, had told the court that Adeshina had turned her into a punching bag.
“At any slight opportunity, my husband beats me.

Adeshina said.
NAN reports that all the witnesses that testified corroborated Adeshina’s submissions.

The petitioner, who was unruly during the court’s proceedings, was asked by the President of the court, Chief Ademola Odunade, to bring her parents to the court.
Odunade adjourned the case till Feb. 27 for judgment.

6 friends killed in a car accident and her.... sister accused drunk driver of being a Yahoo boy with sinister intentions

A lady who lost six friends and her sister after a drunk driver rammed into them has taken to Facebook to mourn them and narrate how they died.

Temitope Hameed said the women had all gone for a vigil in a mosque along the Moshood Abiola way in Abeokuta, Ogun State. While performing ablution in preparation for prayers, a drunk driver rammed into them, killing 7 of them while 1 is in a coma.


The car which rammed into the young women had 4 occupants, one of them a woman. They all sustained injuries in the car.

According to reports, the drunk-driver lost control of the vehicle he was driving before he ploughed into the victims.

The Head of Operations Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Abeokuta Division, Olaleye Babajide, confirmed the incident. He said the accident occurred at about 10.30 pm on Friday, January 25, 2018.

He said:


The car swooped off the road, uprooted an electric pole and thereafter crushed the worshippers standing in front of the Rahamot Lahill Quareeb mosque located beside the road, killing them on the spot.


The official said the deceased were relaxing in front of the mosque in preparation for a vigil before tragedy struck.

He added:



The impact of the crash forced the authorities of the State Traffic officials to axe the car into pieces before the four occupants of the car could be removed from the wreckage.



Mr Babajide said the occupants of the car including the driver were drunk.

He said:



Overspeeding on the part of the driver was responsible for the crash. A number of alcoholic drinks, including tramadol were seen in the car,” he said.


He said two of the occupants of the car were arrested while attempting to run away from the scene of the accident. He added that the bodies of the victims have been deposited at the morgue of Federal Medical Centre(FMC).

U.S-based Nigerian music executive, Oluwole Oluwaseun Odunowo aka Oluricky, has been arrested as the 7th suspect in a Nigerian fraud ring, just months after his much publicized brush with Davido on Instagram.

The massive tax fraud case that already has seen six Nigerians sent to prison, and involved more than 30,000 Oregonians’ stolen IDs isn’t closed yet.

Oluwole Oluwaseun Odunowo and Adebiyi Oduneye aka Yoya, each face more than a dozen felony, according to newly unsealed documents filed in U.S. District Court in Medford, alleging they participated in a tax fraud ring using more than 40,000 IDs to file 1,500 false tax returns from 2013 through the middle of 2015.

They have been charged with multiple counts of mail fraud, mail fraud conspiracy and aggravated identity theft. Odunowo was arrested, on Tuesday, in Houston.

Oduneye, who has fled U.S and now lives in Lagos, Nigeria, has also been named as a suspect, according to a document filed by the U.S. Attorney’s office in September, which had been sealed until Odunowo’s arrest.

Actual losses tied to the two suspects add up to $4.75 million, federal prosecutors allege. Oduneye is alleged to have exchanged more than 43,000 stolen identities with Odunowo.

A Vietnamese hacker reportedly breached an employment services company based in Lincoln City company’s server and sold the names to tax fraud ringleader Emmanuel Kazeem, who was sentenced last summer to 24 years in prison.

Odunowo and Oduneye allegedly participated in the fraud by filing numerous fake tax returns, routing refunds onto prepaid Green Dot Bank cards, cashing out the sham accounts and wiring the money to Nigeria. Victims lived in Beaverton, Portland, Monroe, Corvallis and Canby.

The multi-agency case has taken investigators to Maryland, Georgia and Illinois, and led to prison sentences for Kazeem, his brother Michael Oluwasegun Kazeem, Lateef Aina Animawun, Oluwatobi Reuben Dehinbo, Oluwaseunara Temitope Osanyinbi and Oluwamuyiwa Abolade Olawoye.
