Gilbertman: Even you sef ain't perfect. It's typo and not typographical error as you wrongly put it. The more one lives , the more one learns. All my learning, I have typically assumed typo was an abbreviation of typographical...until today!! Waoow. Salute to the brains on here.... Things we just assumed growing up, oh my my, and never ever care to check up!
Definition of typo : an error (as of spelling) in typed or typeset material typographical error noun
Definition of typographical error : a mistake (such as a misspelled word) in typed or printed text The book contains a number of typographical errors. You might need to go back to school because you just got miseducated. |

Viking007: Jeez I can't believe you're still arguing about this. You're right and sixfeetbelle is also correct. Typographical error or typo both mean the same thing.
Typo is short for typo graphical error. QED.

Shibaraba: Break failure na one of the disadvantages of driving a car. E dey happen anytime even amidst regular checks. E pain me say the driver was just unlucky to kill the kids. Kids that shouldn't be selling by the roadside in the first place. May their soul rest in peace. My problem is why burn the car? As burnt offering? Or it will resurrect the dead? I just tire for my country people.
During my hustling days In Ibadan I managed to buy one Toyota Orobo. Master brake had issues I repaired instead of replace. The day wey ogun for kee na the day wey the brake fail. On top molete bridge I was going to beere. Match brake na fuuushhaaaa I hear. I begin to shibaraba santaribobo in tongues even though I know say the prayer no fit answer. Because na olosho I dey carry go drop for house and I no give her chingbain. I give her solid lamba with intention say as I drop I go zoom off. Brake fail I started thinking fast. Beere road is everyly busy. If I keep on people go die. One solid canal dey there. I been wan try James Bond jump out of motor after steering the car towards the canal. As I dey think am I see one very sweet god sent Micra dey drive out from nowhere. I no think am twice..... Skrrrrrree gbosaaaaa. I hit the car men. For my mind I was like we go settle am. Nobody die. The man came down. Me see come down but as sharp man I Don lie down dey beg already. E joor sir. E joor sir. The man anywhere he dey God go bless am. His micra had iron guiding for back. He just looked at his boot saw the little damage. Turned to me and said, "Now you're a man", and drove away.
I was shook visibly. Enter motor start am e start. Thank god. Match brake e work. Match am again e work. Olosho was nowhere to be found. I just turned around, drove home, parked by the road and put big pangolo on the car. Wetin I buy no go kill me.
Bottom line... 1.Check your car regularly. 2.If anything needs to be bought to fix the car buy. 3.If eventually brake fail find inanimate object ram and pray for the best. 4. No carry Ibadan olosho. If you carry pay her well. Maaad o, this cracked my ribs even through tragedy. |

Beosten: 1. My first girl asked me to come and help her write exam in polytechnic Esaoke. I was a reknowned examination mercenary. I went there. Her school boyfriend he tried very hard to hide from me became known by me.
2. She got pregnant and aborted it without my consent. I was afraid because it almost claimed her life.
3. She wanted to be pregnant before going for nysc so that she would not lose me. She submitted herself for sex for months. She didn't get pregnant. Her mum was in support. Maybe a herbalist told them I have juju that prevents unwanted pregnancy. Out of nowhere, she accused me of using juju so that she won't get pregnant. Maaad o, local man can not can |

yahussaini: *Benin Republic has a population of 12 million people. But it is the worlds 5th importer of rice. In 2018, it imported rice worth US$996m.*
*Benin is also world's largest importer of _used_ _cars_ and __second_ - _hand_ _clothing_ . All with a population of 12m people.* *DO YOU WONDER HOW?.........* *Don't!*
*98.2% of these imports into Benin are only on transit; their final destination is _NIGERIA_ !* *Nigeria is world's largest consumer of used cars and second hand clothing, and is also Africa's largest consumer of Asian grown rice.*
*The problem here is that all these imported goods attract appropriate import duty and trade tax, which are paid to the Beninoise Government while the goods are thence SMUGGLED into Nigeria WITHOUT ANY PAYMENT to the Nigerian Government and, thereby, adding zero value to the Nigerian economy!* *Sadly, THIS IS ALL DONE BY NIGERIANS!*
*Granted, ECOWAS/CEDEAO charter allows for free trade between member states, but _on_ _goods_ _produced_ _in_ _member_ _countries_ , and NOT on imports from other economic blocs.*
*Where foreign goods are transiting through a member country, and ending up in another member country, the ECOWAS charter stipulates that the country of transit MAY collect a token trade tax, and its Customs officials should then escort the goods to the border of the importing country and hand it over to the Customs officials of the importing country!* *But what we see in the case of Benin Republic is that it collects _CUSTOMS_ _DUTY_ plus _TRADE_ _TAX_ , and then allows the goods to pass through its hinterland for onward smuggle into Nigeria!*
*This is a clear violation of ECOWAS statutes and no nation can condone such costly infraction.*
*Nigeria has tolerated this nonsense from Benin for far too long and it is time to stop the malpractice if we want Nigeria's economy to grow.* *(Therefore, whoever cries foul because we have closed our borders to smugglers while we're putting our act together, IS AN ENEMY OF NIGERIA!)*
*Nigeria makes up about 74% of ECOWAS population and about 71% of its economy. It is ECOWAS that needs Nigeria and not the other way round!*
ANY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MEMBER COUNTRIES MUST BE BASED ON EXTANT REGULATIONS! Insightful |
